OK...So they find the content on porn sites offensive.  That is why their called PORN sites.  Which begs the question WHY ARE THEY BROWSING PORN SITES IN THE FIRST PLACE

 

Sounds like this boils down to one of two things....

 

* These groups are unwittingly being used by the Russian hackers who've been in the news lately (But are glad to HAVE BEEN used as it gives am opportunity to force their views onto those who don't share or welcome it)

 

* A bunch of Mommys & Daddys who can't figure out how to use NET NANNY software & would rather try to KILL OFF AN ENTIRE INDUSTRY rather than LEARN HOW to use the Net Nanny software they bought so the kiddies aren't allowed to see such content in the first place

Nobody I know goes to pornhub to watch "porn" .  They go there to watch leaked footage of movies/games that shouldn't be public. Most of the content they've deleted as of late is completely pornographic in nature.

Are you referring to the LoversLab part of my comment? If so then yes i understand that, i just used it as an example of how despite other non-gaming chatter going on in the site, it's still primarily used and known for adult mod hosting and the community around that which means referring to it as something else is not a good point, even if it is done in the form of shitty jokes.

And I don't get the removal of downloads. Like at all. If you only allow verified accounts why do you still care if someone might reupload the videos? Certainly not to protect children and potential rape victims.

They are using the context of "keeping the site safe due to media pressure" to actually make it a paid site that's trying to compete with OnlyFans lol. They fucked over almost all their models except those who work with them in pro-porn.

Pornhub has been known to not only NOT moderate their uploads, but the rape/Revenge porn/kiddie porn uploads have been a problem for years

There's a number of cases of missing girls who were found after videos of their rape were uploaded to Pornhub, including one where over 58 videos/pics of her assault were uploaded to the site, She was 14 and missing for over a year. To top it off there's been numerous cases where girls who have suffered this had to chase Pornhub for months/years, threatening legal action to get them to even do anything about removing the videos

Let's not even talk about Girls Do Porn (one of the big affiliates before they fell from grace) who the people behind that are facing trafficking charges (alongside Child porn/Child trafficking IIRC) for Luring or coercing young women into doing porn, going as far as to entrap them or sexually assault them for their profits.

 

Then you have the issue of them not removing videos that violate TOS. There are numbers of girls who were either assaulted or their boyfriend recorded without their knowledge and uploaded and pornhub would remove it once and do nothin about sickos reuploading the videos, even though some of these were when the girls were literally underage and despite the videos being reported directly to them over and over.

The problem and why Pornhub is being targeted is not because they make porn, it's because they do nothing at all about the sick shit you can find on their platform. Facebook in Q3 2020 ALONE Reported they removed 12.4 MILLION images depicting child porn off it's platforms, Twitter reported from June to December 2019 that they closed 264,000 Accounts distributing child porn... Pornhub in ~2-3 years has only reported 118 instances, according to The Internet Watch Foundation. There is 0 way that you are the LARGEST name and site for uploading porn and you're reporting you only had 100 cases of child porn on your platform when platforms that aren't even for porn are literally reporting close to the millions. Make it make sense, cause it doesn't. 

 

so As far as I care, they deserve what they're getting. They need to step their cookies up and get working to solve that problem instead of doing nothing. I hope cutting off their ability to make $$ will push them off their asses into proper accountability.
