One is Deviously Helpless which is on LL.  Probably several more depending on what level of interaction you are looking for.

Unless you go all in on Baka's environment there's little to gain by installing this one alone. Loses a lot without Dialogues and Approach.

But personally I find all of those mods too buggy, unreliable and in frequent conflict with other mods. Lots of rolling back because of stuck animations, scripts or soft locking. There's a great idea behind this, but the execution is lacking.

I've tried hunting down the devious followers redux file but can't seem to find it anywhere since the original page was taken down. I'm not having any luck with the dump list either in terms of getting the files off. Anyone have a copy?

Hi! I'm completely new to modding, installed SL, DD and some additional mods and everything seems to be working.

 

Can't figure out how to get DD furniture. It's not in DD Equip, can't find anything in mod descriptions. The only place I've seen one is in Cursed Loot, that's how I know it exists.

 

Any hints? Where to find item IDs for console commands or crafting recipies?

 

As a new player, the entry barrier into running mods is very high. It seems that most of the work was done 10 years ago, and a lot is lost after game updates.

They are in DD Contraptions, which is part of the DD5 package.

When you're on LE you'll want AddItemMenu on AE you want QUI and this patch for 1.6.1130+

Yup. Select an NPC with the crosshairs and press PgUp - they should be in chains afterwards (if it crashes, you have problems with HDT/SMP physics)

Go to the furniture you want them in and... dunno. I never use it.

Additionally there are some spells concerning furniture (place, remove...) but I cannot say if they are DD or ZAP or if they even work.

 

There is a mod "I'll take the display model" but that's not for a serious playthrough, it always got me stuck and messed up the camera. Should be in the list on the 1st page.

PgUp worked, thank you! I haven't seen it documented anywhere or present in the menu.

 

Do you happen to know how to remove an empty furniture? I don't see a way to do it.

I got an interesting problem: Every so often one of my devices randomly equips a different device on me, and I am not sure what's causing it, or how to stop it.

 

I am using latest DDNG on AE, with nightly build of Unforgiving Devices. I am suspecting UD of being the culprit, but I can't see any option that refers to what I am experiencing. I don't think it's Cursed Loot because I've been using settings I've been using for awhile, and it never did anything like this before.

that's a feature from UD most likely.  You can check your equipped devices for (details) > (Modifiers).  There are a couple of modifiers that equip other devices on certain triggers.  If you don't like them you can access the item via the MCM Debug menu and remove the modifier.

So... apparently there are two different "SkyUI" mods.

 

There's SkyUI 5.1 (currently linked to from this thread, though without any mention of versioning issues), and then there's SkyUI 5.2 (which some people here seem to be using).

 

Unfortunately, I do not see anything in this thread about compatibility issues, and the original post which links to the mod has not been updated since February 2024. And, of course, getting a modded game working - sorting through all of the potential mod issues - generally has worked best for me when I have some understanding about these sorts of issues.

 

Anyways... I guess I am hoping that, if SkyUI 5.2 breaks something, that someone here will clue me in on what it breaks.

You do realize that those two SkyUI variants are for two different games? One for Oldrim and the other for SE/AE

Personally I'd recommend AE. Most modders have switched over from 1.5.97, and thus modding it now is more difficult to hunt down some dependencies. Plus DDNG is made with AE in mind I think. Especially since most new mods people are making are for AE. LE is only if you're in love with a specific old mod like Captured Dreams or the original Devious Followers. If you're interested in new and developing mods, AE is the way to go.

Yes, currently that is the version I'm using, but I'd prefer to use the older mods. Is there a place I can still find LE? I saw Steam had SE, but not LE.
