theskid Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I have to say I'm impressed Zippy. With all the fixes and changes you are making to a number of plugins NV is gonna be a whole new game, and much more stable and bug free experience when I come back to it. Thank you for all the hard work.
dinomagick Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Quick question... does the 4/27 replace the previous .esp??Because... there is a big difference between the two...The one downloadable is 224 KBThe one I have is 6,197 KB or am I an idiot? Because stalking doesn't work in the 4/27 one I just added.
zippy57 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I really don't think BR was ever a 6MB plugin. Even SCR is under 3MB. Can you upload the file you're talking about?
dinomagick Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Sure thing... I think it was the version just before the current one.According to my D/L Manager, I downloaded it on 4/14? So whatever version that was..Here it is. SexoutBrutalRapers.7z <- Zipped, its smaller
zippy57 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't know where you got that but it wasn't one of my releases. Whoever made that hit Compile All, so it's got a copy of every FNV, NG, and SCR script in it, which would explain the insane file size. The last version before the current one was 4/25, and before that 4/24. I'm pretty sure the 4/24 version was the first version since I uploaded the file to the new system, and that file was not 6MB and did not have all those scripts in it.
dinomagick Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Thanks. I uploaded what I had.Since updating to the new one, as the warning suggests, Stalkers aren't working anymore. I've turned every mod off and left only BrutalRapers, (with NG and SCR)... Also updated SCR...ANd stalkers are really acting wierd. I went into MCM and set the settings to 100% for Stalking, and made sure the Stalking Player box was checked, and can stand anywhere and nothing happens. Combat Rape I normally set to 40% and 75% rape... nothing happened in battle, so I upped it to 60% health and 100% rape, again.. nothing.. Started a fresh character and still having issues... is it the updated SCR that could be causing this?
zippy57 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 The beta release of the current version had no such reports. Is anyone else also having this issue?
t3589 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 When I updated this it reset my settings but I didn't realize it. I don't use stalkers, but I got stalked so I know it works. You might also try getting stalked at night, and wearing a sexy outfit, seems to work better.
Bashis Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 i haven't tested stalkers, but combat rape works just fine for me, so I'm assuming stalking does to
johnmcderp Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Stalking works sporadically for me, and not in a good way because I set the chance to 100%, and the Male targets Female ratio to 10, yet nobody seems to take interest in my PC. I did not set it such that my companions will also be targeted however.
Davidson Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I have the same problem with stalker. Set all the values to max (including for companions). What is it supposed to do? Would a NPC starts walking in the direction of the PC and starts raping her? Should it work with all NPCs, or just with the unamed ones? (should I try in a shady city like Freesides? ) Also, my companions have never been raped: neither in combat (they just get killed) nor whille sleeping/waiting. How often is it supposed to happen? Except for that, the combat rape and sleep/wait rape works great for my PC. (just one funny problem, sometimes I try to get the rape animation on a bed for more realism than doing it on the floor, and my PC often falls inside it )
Destynova99 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Yeah sex animations on a bed have always been wonky and probably always will. There is a dynamic sex animation fix for the wsex mod so it's possible a similar fix might find itself in Sexout... though the aforementioned mod tended to cause me lots of crashes so I don't know how stable it actually was. Amusingly enough, my frustration with wsex is actually what led me to discovering this place. I've found that things like stalkers and tryout approach rates and such get a little buggy if you set the rate too high. I don't know what the sweet spot is, but it would likely vary depending on number of npcs around and their distance to the player. First one to the player wins and the rest just kind of stand there and glare at you and then they reset and often go under an approach cooldown. Then you can run into the problem of running around and everyone ignoring you. I usually end up having to save, exit to the loading screen and then reload to get the approaches to restart.
KainsChylde Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Stabiity can usually be improved. The fact that it exists at all is a good start.
johnmcderp Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I have the same problem with stalker. Set all the values to max (including for companions). What is it supposed to do? Would a NPC starts walking in the direction of the PC and starts raping her? Should it work with all NPCs, or just with the unamed ones? (should I try in a shady city like Freesides? ) A random(?) NPC chosen according to your settings will run up to your PC, and when they are close enough you will hear a knockdown sound, and your PC will be knocked down (KO'ed). Then the business begins. Of course, the choice of NPC will be based on the consideration of faction reputation and karma, etc., plus, if you have Stalker Warnings enabled, you will receive a "You are getting lewd looks" message on the top left when an NPC is chosen and is now running up to your PC. It happened to my PC about six times in a row while I was just roaming around Westside, and even Meansonofabitch had his way with my PC. Though after that I did not recall the stalkers script running as it should be again. I do remember that I didn't set the sliders up to max at that time though.
saladboy21 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Combat rape does not appear to function on latest version. Even with RR and Health cranked to 100 standing in front of enemies just goes till the courier dies. Reverting to previous version, with same numbers, combat rape works fine.
Davidson Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Thanks for the answers. I have unchecked the "Consider faction" button, changed the values... and I'll see what happens. On a different note, I am working on a sound package for the SOSReplacer. I was thinking that while sleeping, the victim's sounds should not be the same as when raped awoken, but more like some sleepy moans. There are three "Intensity sex" folders in SOSreplace for sounds. I was thinking of telling the script for rape sleep to only use the first folder, which would be the soft moans. So I looked a bit into SexoutBrutalRapers.esp with Geck. I saw that the scripts were called in the quests. But I couldn't find the one that called the sounds. Which one is it? (I haven't read the scripting tutorials yet (but will do soon enough), but I have some basic knowledges in programming so changing the adress of a folder in a script shouldn't mess with my game)
zippy57 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) I saw that the scripts were called in the quests. But I couldn't find the one that called the sounds. Which one is it?Sex sounds are handled by SexoutNG. I haven't yet updated BR (or anything of mine, actually) to use the proper variables for SOSReplacer compatibility. Edited May 4, 2013 by zippy57
HMTSM Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Combat Rape works fine, but Stalker does not. Running undressed through the strip = nothing happens ... Hope you can fixit ... meanwhile i use the old version.
zippy57 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I have people telling me stalkers are broken, and I have people telling me they work fine. I have people telling me combat rape is broken, and I have people telling me it works fine. I don't know what's going on, but I think that if it's only broken for some people, chances are it actually works fine and something else in your game is causing it to malfunction.
saladboy21 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 What could be making current version not work but be letting old version work. Not trying to be dickish, honest question. Because that is what is happening. No other changes, switching versions literally makes it work.
HMTSM Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Checked it with only sexout and sexout common resources installed: stalking not working for me. Since the version the dialog shown to resist raping ... the version without the dialog will work fine.
Davidson Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I saw that the scripts were called in the quests. But I couldn't find the one that called the sounds. Where can I find the old version you are all talking about? You got me curious to try it.
Davidson Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Thank you, trying it right now! Edit: the stalkers work fine with the old version.
zippy57 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Since the version the dialog shown to resist raping ... the version without the dialog will work fine.I didn't add that dialogue. It was added way before I took over. Which means either stalking has been broken for months now and no one noticed or cared, or the problem is with your game.
