Next things I want to work on are the features around ongoing training, which are a fair bit more difficult and require more writing than what's been done so far.

Here's my suggestion: make it so you can train them in two different ways,

through a hostile scheme that has a higher chance of working if they are afraid (dread) of you, where you basically threaten them into submission

or through a personal scheme similar to seduction where you lure them into it

 

you can also later add different effects to the torturer perk tree for the first path and to the seduction perk tree for the second path

 

training someone else's woman should allow you to force them to divorce and join your court, but make the ex-husband hate you and become your rival if you do so

 

also fully trained slaves should be immune to seduction and not be able to start seduction schemes

wouldn't stress relief be through sex with a lover?  a great way to reduce stress!  mods in CK2 featured stress relief that way or going to a tavern, usually via a decision, and there was a percentage chance involved.  characters with a military bent should be able to do a long and exhausting training session or play a wargame which has a chance of reducing stress and adding a tiny bit to a skill.  there really should be ways to reduce stress based on what a character already knows from their background and something from cultures should be there, too.  a simple town fair or festival or annual event like a spring/fall fair or religious gathering that reduce stress and have a greater chance to do so if they align with traits and skills.  affirming faith, values, doing activities aligned with traits and education really should have some benefits. stress isn't a bad thing in the game, but it does suddenly shoot up based on many factors and the way to address them should be organic to the character involved.  sex with a submissive partner...good chance of stress relief there without transferring it unless the submissive is being used in a way they don't like, but then that isn't transferring stress, just reducing it on one side and increasing it on the other for a different reason.

A couple of updates, and a question for all of you using this mod.

 

Updates

- In case you've missed the changes to the description, there's now a link to the discord where this mod's channel lives. Come by and say hi if you like. There's also a roadmap that currently includes everything I intend to make for the 1.0 version- though that will be far from the end of development of this mod.

- I don't have an estimate on when 1.0 will be done or anything, but I'm making good progress and don't expect any major roadblocks.

 

Then here's the big one:

- At some point before 1.0 I will be releasing an update that breaks save game compatibility with older versions of the mod. This could probably be as late as the 1.0 release itself. The reason for this, that everyone should be happy about, is because I will be making Carnalitas a requirement for this mod, which will dramatically improve compatibility in the long run.

 

So, the question is: would you rather I get that update over with quickly, or hold off until this mod has as many of the 1.0 features as possible so that you can use them in your current saves?

I'd get it out of the way sooner rather than later so that I don't need to restart on a more advanced save file, but it's no big deal either way.

always, always get it out sooner if its going to break saves etc because just like Doejhn, I'd rather start over on a "early-mid" save than "mid-late" one

0.3 Update Released

This is a large update, so I feel it requires a bit of explanation, but the main things of note about it are the following:

 

1. This version is incompatible with save games using older versions of this mod

2. Obedience Training has been overhauled from an instant interaction to a scheme

 

On the incompatibility: I've made Carnalitas a requirement for Submissive Partners (not using it for a whole lot yet, but I will be), and I've moved my trait indices to the 5600-5699 range. Initially I wanted to have them lower, since CK3 warns that high indices will slow down lookups, but Carnalitas is using indices 6900+ (nice) so I figured I may as well bump mine up to help avoid compatibility issues. My goal is to make this the only update that breaks save game compatibility, though that is of course dependent on many factors, including what Paradox does in updates and DLCs.

 

The Obedience Training Scheme

This scheme follows the same principles and has the same goals as the older 'Instill Obedience' interaction, but is both much more expansive and takes place over a much longer period of time- potentially years, if the scheme's target doesn't like you or is not inclined to a submissive role!

 

There's a fair bit going on with this scheme, and it functions differently than your typical CK3 scheme:

 

- Success chance is always 100% (for now). Anyone can be trained with enough time and effort!

- Scheme progress chance, on the other hand, is highly variable. You get a small bonus for your martial skill, but it is primarily based on the target's personality and her opinion of you. It also tends to increase as the scheme progresses, meaning the initial months are the hardest. That's because...

- As the scheme progresses, there will be several opportunities to mould your submissive's personality to something more appropriate! Three events that will occur at different breakpoints throughout her training that give you the choice to encourage changes in the target's personality that the training has brought about. While there is a fair amount of randomness to the options you are presented with (to help with variety), the system will try to prioritize removing the worst traits for a submissive (i.e. arrogant, ambitious, sadistic) and adding the most fitting ones (humble, trusting, etc.)

 

Of course, these changes are optional- if you prefer, say, to have a brave partner over a content one, you are welcome to leave your submissive's personality in place. You should also feel free to cancel an ongoing training scheme and come back to it later if there are more pressing matters to attend to- the partial progress that you made will make it significantly easier when you come back to it.

 

One quick note about the UI for this scheme: don't trust the estimated time to complete that the UI shows you. The initial scheme 'setup' isn't finished until the initial event that triggers a few days after you start the scheme, and it doesn't account for the bonuses that will accrue as you go. It should still give you an idea of the overall difficulty, though.

With version 1.0 around the corner, I updated the roadmap with some of the first things I will be looking to add. Will probably start with the Carnalitas integrations, since they already have full functioning systems like slavery and prostitution behind them, and it's just a matter of hooking into them.

 

The possibilities for what can be added open up a lot at this point, so if you have ideas you're dying to see in Submissive Partners, now would be the time to share them.

Requesting a way to invite you submissive to a threesome with your lovers. Bonus points for multiple outcomes for the first introduction based on how much your sub and lover like each other.

 

- negative relations: lover refuses

- good relations: they both accept

- Lover opinion of sub > You: Can't get a word (or anything else) in edgewise

 

Possible recurring events after first introduction.

Great idea! This is definitely going toward the top of the list of events to make. Can easily be the start of a longer event chain, too, which is something I'm very much on the lookout for right now.

Most likely you are either using another mod that is overwriting the same should_be_naked trigger as me, or are experiencing the weird interaction of characters being considered "adults" for interaction purposes at 16 but for nudity purposes at 18 (for legal and PR reasons presumably)

Apparently so- missed that part of the release notes. A very welcome change though, can finally get rid of the note about the one compatibility issue I had. I'll release a small update for that soon.

Thanks for your nice works there!
 

I've noticed something might need to change or tune, some might be known bugs.
- When target has smaller boob trait, you can use breast enlargement but it won't work.
  So it should be either delete the smaller boob trait or don't allow player to use it at the moment.
 

- When target has big boob trait but not the biggest one, if player using breast enlargement. The older and smaller one should be deleted.
  Otherwise target would have 2 boob trait in the same time.

And here are some thought about this mod, it would be great if these helped. If not, just ignore them.
- The mechanic to install obedience is really nice, but somehow I feel like it can be more interested.
  Now it works depends on target's idendity. It now only works on certain id like lover/wife/concubine.
  Since you're using scheme function, maybe you can do it the other way around?
  Say you can use it on anyone, but the target's id will result in different outcome.
  Use it on prisoner, the process and outcome can be made for become player's sub/slave/breeder/fucktoy/...etc.
  You can even snatch other npc's wife by the process, or made them stay married but the only chance target got pregant is via player only.
  And you can made target get all the id at the same time you want for the cost of longer training time.
  Of course the more trait or id you want to apply, the success chance is lower.
  Chance can be affected by you skill points and target's trait.
 

- The re-train function can work as what mentioned above, just that when it comes to a max lv sub, 
  you can choose to clean all the id target got and do the process again with a shortern time or kept it all. 
  And you can re-train max lv sub anytime, not only when you're playing next generation.
 

- Is there a possibility that once you've done target's training, prevent them from getting seduced/Impregnated by AI?
  Like how chaste trait work so far. Player got their own choice.
 

Just some ideas atm, hope some of them helped.

1.0 Released!

 

Should be both save game and CK3 v1.1 compatible. Mostly adds quality of life additions and fills in minor features that were missing before, like a way to remove submissives, rather than being stuck with them forever once they are set.

 

I've stated this before, but this being 1.0 does not mean I am done with development of Submissive Partners. It just means that all of the basic features that I set out to build have been built, have been given the level of polish I want, and are set to feed into the later features that I'm going to add.

 

Thanks to everyone in this thread who's pointed out mistakes or made suggestions- I don't respond to every one, but I read them all and almost every one has been helpful.
