Huh, that's a new one. I've personally never encountered this error and I'm not sure anyone has reported an error matching this code either. I'll look into it. Thanks for sharing this and I'm sorry RTBP has been such a pain for you.

I found an article on this error code:

"First Cause: Affected by Viruses"

This might be the most likely cause. Like I've said before, RTBP is a hack, not really a mod. It works through nefarious means and it doesn't try to hide it. Your antivirus software would be right to be skeptical of it. If there's a way to add an exception to RTBP's "d3d9.dll" file, that may fix it.

Edit: I have an idea... I might need to relocate the RTBP directory. RTBP probably doesn't have permission to write to the Sims 4 install directory. That's where the settings and logs are saved to. I'll look into it.

Thanks. I'll work on this. When in doubt, switch back to the stable release for stable game play.

I don't mind helping to troubleshoot, if I'm actually helping. These crashes are predicable, so I simply save before I go AFK.

What I find interesting, is the latest experimental seems to be a reversion to an earlier method. When you fix one model/skin or such, it breaks something else, then you either revert, or change, it changes back and forth. So in other words, this latest one breaks clothing that was previously fixed, and fixes clothing that was previously broken. Mostly certain items, like nipple piercings, open shirts with nothing under, or tops with transparency, such as mesh shirts, all don't move with the breasts, and others cause lopsided breasts. However, it's not consistent, as some work, some don't, even from the same creator. I imagine this is something to do with the clothing item, more than it is this mod, and if you find the cause, maybe it would be possible to create a tool that patches the clothing item to work with breast physics, rather than trying to balance breast physics to work with everything.

There's no consistency across the mesh data that RTBP can intercept. Bone indexes change with each mesh and each rig they're bound to. At this point, I need to analyse the geometry of the mesh data to determine the breast bone indexes, or if breast bones even exist. Male sims don't have breast bones.

Sorry, it's complicated. It took me months of research, analyzing the Sims 4 engine before I finally found out how to control the bones. I assumed at first that all sims have the same bones and that they would have the same indexes, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Hi, first post here and i really like this mod.

Surely stating the obvious but it looks to me that when a top has lod0 with more than one geometry only one of them is modified by the mod

Is there a workaround?

It'd be cool to have different damping for each axis. Whether it's just for testing, or not, are there any updates on angular or just a new version?

Angular physics are still a work in progress. I've had some success, but I'm still not happy with how they look. I've kinda put angular physics on the back burner for the time being and I'm focusing more on why so many people seem to have trouble getting RTBP to work. Once I have that settled, I'll resume work on angular physics.

And damping per axis could easily be done. I'll experiment with it.

I got rid of the weird butt bug by using the Wicked Whims body selector to select a different bottom for the female sims but only certain bottoms fixed the issue.

I have an issue when using wicked whims that the butt bounce seems not applying to all vertices of the mesh. The middle height of the butt doesnt bounce at all but the upper and lower do move making a strange animation. Using WW default, already tried Eve v9 but bounce stop working with it. Someone found a good bottom mesh?

What's happening?

You've selected the RTBP Installer ZIP as the RTBP ZIP. You're going to need a valid RTBP ZIP. Also, your installation path appears to be wrong. You have two "Game\Bin"'s in your install folder path.

Where is the valid ZIP?

I just installed the zip file, and there is no README.html anywhere, I even searched for it, and nothing came up for "README.html", it said "0 found". Also, when I open up the program it just says "Unable to connect to RTBP. Trying again in 10 seconds..." and it just does that forever. I'm uninstalling this for now because I clearly did something wrong and I don't wanna fuck anything up, but if I ever want to try again in the future, I'd like to know what can be done about this. Thank you.

WAIT, I'm dumb, I forgot to install the main file. my bad sorry.

edit: ok wow. shit. I'm reading the instructions in the README file and... uh. This is complicated, I'm too tired to go through all this tonight- and even though I've installed sketchier things and have had em on my computer for a long time, the disclaimer about it fucking up my computer freaked me out so I think I'm gonna pass since I'm clearly not like, familiar enough with this stuff to be good with it. Awesome mod concept though, this is a really great thing you're doing and I'm glad this mod exists- even if I can't use it.

I totally understand. RTBP is a very untraditional mod and you are right to treat it with skepticism. I added the disclaimers to the readme, just so people that try RTBP know that they're dealing with experimental software.

I do test every release of RTBP, and every time I play the Sims, I have a bleeding edge version of RTBP installed. No serious damage has ever occurred to my save game, computer, or anything else. If it ever does, that release will never see the light of day.

I regularly backup my save games, so if something bad does happen, I can revert it.

So, if you're uncomfortable dealing with RTBP and the potential problems that could arise, I completely understand.
