That is the one I was using.

3,701KB in size. The one you uploaded on this page with the experimental code included or something.

The error message you shared with me shows that the member function "Mesh::getClosestVertexToRay" is being called. I don't use that function anymore. If you could post your log file, I could tell you whether you're running the latest version or not.

Just in case I have it wrong, where should the commander file be placed?

The Commander can be placed anywhere. Just make sure to extract all the files, make sure they're all in the same folder, then run the ".exe" file.

I reinstalled it so will regenerate another logfile

Just for clarity here's what i'm doing.

1. Getting the RTBP file from the download page (dated 2022/08/10)

2. Using installer to install this (I uncheck the box as I don't use an integrated GPU)

3. I then use that file you just linked with the newest .dll file (replacing the dll file in the main game folder, NOT the mod folder)

Boom, I also use commander to edit shit. By the way, what body selector do you use? There's no way you use the default Wicked Wims one because that gives the ass boxing effect that most report?

All good! New installer worked perfectly to un and reinstall for the ea app and, honestly, this mod's been running way more smooth in general since the latest game updates. :,) For me at least. When the game auto updated and I warily turned it on to see which mods would crash and burn, physics were on point for the lone sim dancing in her room to the blues.

Deleted and re-downloaded the commander files yesterday and it's behaving with the latest version.

What body mods do you use (Whicked Whims I mean)?

Do you get the weird tailbone visual discussed in this thread?

image.png.b9aa1cc2684d9779557dbd45448baa64.png

Apparently it's to do with the type of "bottom" you use in WW bodyselector but I can't find one that doesn't have it sadly. Tried them all, EVE, Dumbaby, Hikori etc

How did you get on with it.

Do you get the tailbone bug as well?

i didnt get the tailbone bug, but, the breast physics arent working properly, in CAS, they are slanted sideways, and when my sim moves, the breast are like a static object they dont move while everything else does, im sure weve all seen that in other games too, but i also did crash alt tabbing, and im upset because i forgot to save lol

I haven't had that particular issue. I think my current default body for fem sims is the Eve v9? Sometimes switch the top for Heavy. Any mesh oddness I get is usually more to do with a mesh not playing nice with animations themselves. If it's just that animation or ones with similar poses, maybe it's an awkward angle for the jiggle's gravity to work with?

That's what i've come to accept too.

I just think it has to do with how the animations play with the physics, don't think it's avoidable sadly.

Thankfully, i've managed to get settings (also using Eve V9 bottom in WW) that minimalise it and i've tested it with a bunch of animations and it works fine. Unavoidable sadly but can be minimised to a tolerant point where the booty jiggle outweighs the odd awkward visual.

Are you sure you don't?

What lower body mesh do you use? It's seemingly impossible to avoid on a lot of animations (for example, Motherlode Twerk series has it pretty bad especially on the 2nd/3rd animations). Also, the CAS titty slanted sideways is unavoidable I think. In game it works fine, but in CAS it's like Gravity has them stuck in place too the side. Not really an issue.

Speaking of which, is there a way to save Commander settings by that I mean, not having to open up the commander every time I load up the game? @CPVC

Or does it do that anyway?

In the "commands" tab click "save settings" under Misc. after making the changes you want.

Just to confirm, does Wicked Whims default lower body work with this mod right now?

Because i'm pretty sure it's fucked hence why I use EVE V9

0.4 e3 - Had a crash when I was AFK and the Windows lock screen turns on. Crashes are a lot rarer with e3 than it was with the previous two experimental versions, but it seems to be repeatable with the lock screen crash. 0.4 stable is fine with the lock screen or alt-tabbing, unlike e3.

Also, E3 has a lot better compatibility with breasts clipping through clothing, similar to the far earlier 0.4 versions, but there are still some random clipping, or breasts that are lop-sided. If it helps, I can attach and archive of some of the affected clothing items.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, the installer only supports stable releases. The experimental releases are for advanced users only. They're meant for testing out new features so I can get feedback and try to fix any problems that may occur. To use an experimental release, you need to be able to install it manually. Use the installer to install the stable release, then manually install the experimental DLL. There's no guarantee that it will work, hence the term "experimental". Once it's been tested enough and I'm satisfied with it's behavior, it'll be the new stable release and packaged with all the requisite files and will work with the installer.

Next question is where or is there one of your mods that'll work after the EA takeover?

EA takeover? I'm not sure what you're referring to. Maxis was acquired by EA in 1997. Do you mean the new launcher replacing Origin? The default installation directory for games should be "C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\".

Basically EA app took over Origin at last update which totally wiped C drive settings including RTBP.   The new app even tries to download EVERY add on/package from Sims 4 that I bought in the past.  On two attempted reinstalls this happened and totally filled Drive C.  I have now managed to install a few Sims packages that didn't fill C.

Game now works but noticed the dll. in not showing in BIN.  When I've tried RTBP install, game doesn't work as the extra dll. on C  won't allow your mod.

Huh, that's a new one. I've personally never encountered this error and I'm not sure anyone has reported an error matching this code either. I'll look into it. Thanks for sharing this and I'm sorry RTBP has been such a pain for you.

I found an article on this error code:

"First Cause: Affected by Viruses"

This might be the most likely cause. Like I've said before, RTBP is a hack, not really a mod. It works through nefarious means and it doesn't try to hide it. Your antivirus software would be right to be skeptical of it. If there's a way to add an exception to RTBP's "d3d9.dll" file, that may fix it.

Edit: I have an idea... I might need to relocate the RTBP directory. RTBP probably doesn't have permission to write to the Sims 4 install directory. That's where the settings and logs are saved to. I'll look into it.

I don't mind helping to troubleshoot, if I'm actually helping. These crashes are predicable, so I simply save before I go AFK.

What I find interesting, is the latest experimental seems to be a reversion to an earlier method. When you fix one model/skin or such, it breaks something else, then you either revert, or change, it changes back and forth. So in other words, this latest one breaks clothing that was previously fixed, and fixes clothing that was previously broken. Mostly certain items, like nipple piercings, open shirts with nothing under, or tops with transparency, such as mesh shirts, all don't move with the breasts, and others cause lopsided breasts. However, it's not consistent, as some work, some don't, even from the same creator. I imagine this is something to do with the clothing item, more than it is this mod, and if you find the cause, maybe it would be possible to create a tool that patches the clothing item to work with breast physics, rather than trying to balance breast physics to work with everything.

There's no consistency across the mesh data that RTBP can intercept. Bone indexes change with each mesh and each rig they're bound to. At this point, I need to analyse the geometry of the mesh data to determine the breast bone indexes, or if breast bones even exist. Male sims don't have breast bones.

Sorry, it's complicated. It took me months of research, analyzing the Sims 4 engine before I finally found out how to control the bones. I assumed at first that all sims have the same bones and that they would have the same indexes, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Hi, first post here and i really like this mod.

Surely stating the obvious but it looks to me that when a top has lod0 with more than one geometry only one of them is modified by the mod

Is there a workaround?
