wip Real-Time Body Physics (DirectX 11)

Still running into the game crashing immediately with this mod installed. If I take the d3d9.dll file out of the Bin folder, it launches fine. I've reinstalled, wiped and reinstalled my video card drivers, and reinstalled dx9. Can't use the mod at all.

Sims who have physics applied to them have no shadow for the area effected by physics, for example my male sim has no shadow between his waist and his ankles because of physics being applied to his butt, my female sim has no shadow between her neck and her ankles either because of breast and butt physics being applied.. I saw that this was mentioned back in march but is seems like it was supposed to be fixed based on the devs reply.

Sorry you guys haven't heard from me for a while. I've been a little busy as of late, but I'm still working on RTBP when I can. I've been developing a new method of finding the vertices I need to make RTBP work. This method utilizes ray casting and I'm hoping it will be more flexible than the previous method which required that meshes aligned fairly close to the default ones. This new method might work better with custom meshes. It's still pretty buggy at the moment, but it's showing promise and might make its way into the next release.

Real-Time Body Physics is a highly experimental mod for the Sims 4 that attempts to add real-time body physics to sims. Currently, only the breasts and butt are targeted, but other parts could be added in the future.

 

The mod works via a fake DirectX 9 DLL that behaves just like the real deal, but injects a little extra code into the rendering loop (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hooking). The source code is included for those that want to see how it works.

 

Please read the included "README.html" file before using this mod. It explains how to install, configure, and control the mod in-game.

 

Note for those with an Intel GPU:

 

You'll need to tweak a Sims 4 configuration file for RTBP to work. Go to your game installation directory + "/Game/Bin/" (the same place you put "d3d9.dll"), and open the file "GraphicsRules.sgr". Find the line that says "setProp $ConfigGroup EnableSoftwareSkinning true" (for me it was on line 117) and replace the part that says "true" to "false".

 

This will enable hardware skinning for Intel hardware and allow RTBP to work.

 

 

 

 

Bonus: If you'd like, you can try out the super duper, highly experimental, RTBP GUI tool that allows you to Alt+Tab out of the game and change settings on the fly via the RTBP Command Server using a user friendly GUI interface:

The RTBP GUI Tool is a work in progress and more features will be added soon. Beware that you can send values to RTBP that might break it and cause body parts to disappear.

What were your settings in the 1st video with the jogging? I'm trying to achieve that level of bounciness but no matter my adjustments in RTBP commander i can't get it to be the same or close to it.

after last Update from WW, i have Problems wit Butt Physics too. I disebled the Butt Physics at Time and hope for a Update.

Did you download the RTBP ZIP file? The Commander and Installer are optional tools, but the core of RTBP is located here:

 

 

 

Click "Download this file" to download RTBP. The readme file is located inside the archive.

Seems like this mod does not work with S4MP , sims just stand in place without moving

I don't know if this issue has been solved yet and mentioned beforehand. But I'm going to post this here in case anyone has these issues. I originally thought that sliders were the culprit until I started noticing that some sims had no issues, and others did. So finally I started checking into my wicked whims body parts. 

 

In hindsight I wish I took screenshots.

 

BOOTIES

I've noticed big butt seams.

Think butt scrunching up and almost forming a weird looking spine line right near the tailbone. I specifically noticed it with the Mikooi Sims vaginas. Which are very cool vagina parts but unfortunately seem to add the spine seam thing. 

This can be fixed by changing the sims genitals wicked whims part (or CAS menu part if you're doing it that way.) Some vagina or penis mods alter this area. I am able to use a lot of other vagina parts in wicked whims without it altering the butt/tailbone area. 

 

 

I've also noticed a square-d-ish butt. 

That seems to be from the use of pornstar cock by Noir. Whether it is male or trans or futa or whichever this body part seems to make the butt square up a bit.

 

 

--Both of those issues seem to still allow the physics to work but will skew the body and make it look somewhat unpleasant. 

 

 

TIDDEES

If there are no physics working on your breasts then check your wicked whims or CAS body part.

This is a known issue. For some reason some of the meshes aren't contiguous anymore. I haven't come up with a solution yet, but this seems like a good thing to work on this evening.

I would hope that those creating the meshes now would look to this mod to make sure that they are compatible too. bouncing parts are important! lol

To choose the right working body parts, you first need to understand which version of RTBP works best.
For example, in RTBP v0.4-p4, my sims' butt don't move in game (work in CAS). That's why I'm using an early version.
