The game crashes every time. The scripts work but when i get slaved or knocked down the game crashes just without error message.

I installed every required mod and reinstalled everything too. doesnt work either.

does anybody knows why?

:)

let me read your mind: " I'm sure I installed all in the right way, therefore I used earlier and maybe even now some incompatible things or my char is corrupted enought for SD. Hmm... must try on new char with all other mods disabled."

Does somebody know how i can force start the 'a night to remember' quest?

A mod in my installation seems to be blocking the start of this quest, and i can't find out which one. Making new characters do not help either.

I tried starting the quest via console (setstage/startquest, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:A_Night_To_Remember ), but nothign seems to work.

Sam lets me win the Drinking contest, and then nothing happens, except the drinking quest ends and Sam goes back to 'Do i owe you money?'

Maybe run BOSS first, see if it comes up with any corrupted file messages ? :)

I'll just going to post here as the problem occurs while testing this mod. My game tends to freeze while resting or waiting, I tried back up & verify cache. Is there something else I can do?

Thanks

Sheck you save game file size see if they are creeping up in file size. If they are you may want to try the following.

In Skyrim's "\Data\SKSE" folder ( create it if it does not exist ) in the "SKSE.ini" file ( create this too if it does not exist ) add the following text.

[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

Alright, will do. I'll tell you if anything changes.

Though the weird thing is it occurs to all saves though my Breton is the only 1 with the biggest size. but as said, I'd never saved anything relate to this mod on her save.

OK just tried to run the game with this file, doesn't work. I'll try to low everything & disable all other mods, see if it helps.

Also, still can't make my other chars who didn't complete the Night to Remember to start SD.

Well this is stupid, the thugs won't come after waiting for 10 game days (yes, I know it took them 3-5 days & my Breton was not anywhere near cities, she's in the wilderness in fact. Yes, she committed a crime in daylight & all the witnesses are hold guards & imperial legionnaires) So tried it again & the game froze while resting so I guess I am being forced to opt out on the hired thugs.

What does "sqv WIAddItem03" tell you? Is the quest running?

Yes, she committed a crime in daylight & all the witnesses are hold guards & imperial legionnaires)

This has nothing to do with the hired thug quest.

I finally managed to get the thugs to deliver me in Mistwatch (although even glorious failure had some hilarious moments). Like when I thought I'd outsmart the quest and wait near Dragonbridge - when I noticed the quest was running I dropped all my goodies back home and went with a "generic" set of weapons and armor that I could easily afford to loose. Doing that I noticed the Amulet of Talos had become a quest item - I picked that up from the faithless doorkeeper's corpse in Solitude, after the execution, and this is a pretty good way of getting some Thugs on you: The bratty little girl who whines about "Uncle Rokvir" sends them. So waiting in Dragonbridge things looked pretty good: Thugs headed North, for delivery in Solitude. But at the stable there they turned right, towards the water. After we passed the harbour my (female) Avatar timidly asked "Master do you even know where you're going?" The (male) Thug: *whacked me*, and took a right turn off the street, and into the Bushes. Some skirmishes against Horkers and a long wait at a cold northern beach later I was pretty sure that the Thugs had no idea where they were going.

Loaded Savegame, fasttravelled to Darkwater Crossing: Conveniently located near Mistwatch, shouldn't be no problem. Thugs came, enslaved my Avatar, headed towards Mistwatch - so far, so good. As Mistwatch came into sight, the Thug Leader took one of his dreaded right turns, and off we went, down the road - away from Mistwatch. Doh!

Loaded Savegame, ran to Mistwatch, with the Thugs in pursuit (my last savegame was in Darkwater Crossing and they were already close at hand). Within hailing distance of the gate I waited 1 hour, and found myself surrounded, knocked out, and YAY! - delivered to Mistwatch.

Navigating the stairs was a bit tricky and required a use of the "Home" key, but my Avatar was safely delivered to the bandit up there.

One question: Is this always the same NPC the Thug will deliver the player to ? Because IF it is, may I propose to "clean up" the top room of the tower a bit ?

- Remove the Alchemy table. Since there is nothing else there to interact, the bandit seems to hump the table 24/7. And that means: everytime I talk to her (NPC is a female, random ?) and a scene is starting, it's pretty much taking place under the table, and due to all the object collisions the animation of the 2 actors is pretty messed up, they are jumping all over the place but never seem to move together.

- If possible, make the floor a bit smoother. The floor consists of layered debris in order to give it a "rough" look, but that seems to be creating enough of a slope for the actors to start drifting across the floor during a scene, or to clip into the (solid?) ground.

I know that altering the default layout of places is frowned upon, but those things should have no impact on whatever dungeon delving radiant quest might send the player this way.

Edit: Or maybe I'll do it myself ^^ -> Attached file cleans up the top room of Mistwatch a bit, file is cleaned with tesedit. There should be no dependencies, just 1 alchemy table and 1 piece of clutter have been deactivated.

But don't you need witnesses to make sure it actually runs? How come people never tell me anything when I ask but when I act like I didn't know & then they tell me? And no, she didn't rob the guard, but the saw her committing the crime.

Well I'm pretty sure it ran because she was caught & the guard rushed to her & the arrest dialogue plays as usual. The other problem I have is technical issue I've got with this mod since the navmesh disaster I had with the thug quest. For some reason my game will froze up if I have SD on.

Anyways, thanks for the console, I'll use it to make sure if the quest actually runs.

Maybe I'll give it 1 last attempt.

No, you don't need witnesses, you just have to commit the act of stealing in general.

On another note, with the new update the thugs enslave you but it appears that the AI for them to take you to Mistwatch is no longer present, they seem to act like a regular bandit. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but I haven't found a way to get around it yet.

So before I move on

Thanks to bjornk for teaching me a console command!

With this last ditch effort to try the hired thug, I managed to find a workaround, by not starting SD until hired thugs shows up. It was a painful process, I low everything & waited for 6 game days (fighting dragons with 0 sight range is a bitch)

So when my Breton finally got to the Midstwatch, it reminds me of an ancinet issue this mod has which I seem to always forgot to mention. A long long while ago, I found out that some female bandits aren't in the same bandit faction as most of the typical bandits. That means, if your char were to be enslaved by a bandit guy, some of the bandit girls would still kill your char. anyway.

Now to something I remembered complaining so much about even longer time ago, sex preference doesn't seem to work all the time (unless the designated master in midstwatch is supposed to be a girl I think) I set the preference for my Breton to be "opposite only" so only guys can enslave her. But in midstwatch however, the hired thugs gave her ownership to a dunmer chick bandit who's loves alchemy. As it also seems she's in a different faction as all the other bandit in midstwatch, a nord bandit walk upstairs & try to kill my char. This is also where her demerit skyrocketed as her mistress too busy running around, screaming while a Nord bandit trying to hack my char. into bits.

I'm tired...

Lol, yeah, the Thug Quest for this mod is problematic. Fortunately the rest of the mod works without issue.

When I tried the quest out earlier today I did see a boss ID.

So, still tired & can't cope with the pain of trying to get the hired thug mechanic to finally work for me.

Weird things happened.

Since I have to console kill my char's mistress (thought she's not supposed to be enslaved by females to begin with) How to get out of midstwatch without the key???? I can only assume your master/mistress will give the key to you...

Anyways, so the hired thugs are at Halted Stream Camp, so my char. followed & find the hired thugs battling the bandits who owns the place. When she's there, the game forces her to walk to her hired thug (former) master which is fighting a bandit chief of the camp. What happens when she's standing right beside him? Nothing, they just keep fighting. So my char. killed all of'em, retrieve her stuff just to finds out all the scrolls, potions, ingredients & foods are gone, even when all the thugs are dead, the game will still force my char. to walk to him anyway.

PS. Kiss'emall don't work on this mod, there's a risk of stucking in killcam if your char. trying to kiss your master when your hands are binded.

Now, a far fetch question, I want to try out a custom slave outfit, I don't know much about modding, I got CK so I understand how things work just for a tiny bit.

Anybody care to teach me how to make custom outfit? I tried replacing those 4 files & the game just crash instantly.

Thank you.

One question: Is this always the same NPC the Thug will deliver the player to ?

In Mistwatch, it's the same leveled NPC generator. Random, but in the same location.

There is also the possibility of guards ( xaz's  Prison Overhaul works well with this )

and the original owner of the item.

noticed that the thugs (any of them 3) just worked good up to the enslavement part, all mistwatch (yes I ran there) hated them... and me, (also there's a quest there) also when enslaved the other two go away to I don't know where, the one that stays just walks around (goes though the front door to the other door) and just stays there, he doesn't seem to sleep and likes to mine ore if there's no ore nearby they just go to one side to the another side of the road get bugged in the road so much fun... though they just behaved as regular "masters" "mistwatch bandit"(s) is not slaver faction I assume... so... didn't work for me I'll kill them all *tired*

me too.

two tf the thugs bugger off after I get enslaved, the last one (master) is not intrested in taking me anywhere, likes to mine ore, sweep the porch ,dig the garden and sometimes rape my character.

sometimes when it was realy late he went off to the nearest stormcloak camp and went to sleep.

the rest of the time he stands around or moves up and down the road, sometimes (if the other two are nearby) he and the other two draw their weapons and say to my already well enslaved character "this will teach you not to take things that don't belong to you", then put away their weapons and carry on walking up and down.

seems to be just like regular enslavement.

tested just outside whiterun near the brewery.

Stupid me, I forgot to mention 1 thing with Midstwatch. When the hired thug get into the building, my Breton don't get transported into the building. I didn't speak out it earlier because I solved the problem by teleporting my char. to the hired thug master.

Payback's acting bitchy: I finally managed to escape from mistwatch and after picking up some weapons along the way I went on for "Payback's a bitch". I found the Thugs at robber's gorge, and gladly I saw they were engaging the bandits there as I came closer. Otherwise I might not have been able to finish this quest, because my Avatar began to act weird as soon as it was near the Boss Thug:

-weapon sheathing and unsheathing makes fighting almost impossible

-being forced to auto-face the Boss Thug all the time takes away what fighting capability you still have

I managed to finish them off with a combination of backing off and conjuring a fire elemental.

But the odd behaviour is still there, even tho the Boss Thug and his Goons are dead, I picked up my stuff from the Chest, and Payback's a Bitch has been completed in the journal.

Once I am far away from the Boss Thug's corpse, it stops tho.

Btw: I'm still on 04-23.

Don't know if I can explain the problem I'm having, but I try.

First, I'm sorry, but can't see "spoiler" button any more.

What's happening is after many hours of playing without problems, so no bad installation or conflicting mod should be considered.

I'm using hardcore mode (and love it) but after being enslaved by "helping" citizens, I have problems ending the quest. I mean the enslaved status stay on even if I succed in freeing myself. Clock reaching zero, using weapons or key to get free (key actually free PC from bindings, but not from enslaved status), nothing is working. Even typing "set _sd_status_enslaved to 0".

Another thing, seems that, after this, some bandits consider me a friend (but only AFTER enslaving me) even if I never joined any faction. Anyway consider most of bandits I encaunter are respawn (not by console, but by time passing).

So possibilities are just two (I think):

All my saves are corrupted :-/

Being enslaved by civilians causes confusion in PC fation and/or enslaved status :(

Well, one third option, respawn bandits are a mess

Please let me know if anyone else having the same problem or can reproduce it

Even better if you have a solution :P

Many thanks
