Now the drawbridge is down, but when the thug delivers you to the bandit he does not transfer you over to him and you become free. Immediately after this, the bandits do NOT attack you, but the hired thug does and nothing in the quest progresses. Also, the stairs going up to the bandit, without using console commands they're impossible to climb with the autopathing put in.
Iroha Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I had CTD after punishment scenes until deleted many non-vanilla(not presented in vanilla) tweaks(except papyrus) from skyrim&skyrimprefs ini files. Try it. I run ENB and I think that's the cause of many CTDs for me. I may also unload Hearthfire. Have you seen the junk it pumps into the papyrus log? ENB can be CTD reason too, but in random. Any doubtful non-vanilla and non-papyrus tweaks in ini's leads to instability (CTD) which I can reproduce. PS Love your new sign for Final

Randomwower Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Hey, not exactly sure what exactly the wispmothers are, but considering their love of decoys and wisps, was wondering if perhaps they could have an addition to the mod maybe they can have you float up and climax a bunch of wisps out or something. or, better yet, something for the guys? The girls already have spriggans, maybe give the guys these ones?

Alright, so I loaded a previous save (to before when I was captured) completely uninstalled SD (correctly) then re-installed it again, recaptured myself and then tried the thug quest again. This time the transfer actually worked, but the thug still attacked me after it happened instead of just leaving. This appears to be the only problem left.

I'm beginning to suspect that there must be some old fragments still present: When I try to set the blindfold from 100% to 50% on a new game or a clean save, the effect is at 100 (Show_Global_Vars also shows 100 for this) but the slider is all the way left in the 50% position, and I can not alter the setting from 100% to anything else. I tried the axe approach (sd_reset.bat) but after that, there wouldn't be any SD controls in the MCM window left except the SD logo. I'm open to entertaining suggestions

Shouldn't happen, since I moved the SD files in exactly the same place where it was previously (and running fine). The only difference was that I tried the fomod instead of the 7z for once (0422, when this started) but I returned to the 7z for the 0423 patch. The only other change I made was to update Fuz Ro D-oh from 5.4 to 6.0 (required), but that does not even show up in the load order. My load order (I moved SD to the end of the load order since 0423, no avail). Since you told me everything about the dialogue should be the same since that time I got lucky, tried to imitate it with orcs in a tower, doesn't seem to happen again. Besides that, I can see the option to choose had been expanded on & explained a bit more, haven't tried making my Breton joined bandit faction (at least I think the orcs in the tower are bandits as only 1 of them named bandit & the rest as orcs) Tried the refuse & asked to stay. I don't mind the "you've done well" but if asked to stay, shouldn't the "now our business together is done" & "that doesn't change anything" to be gone? & remove the "I'll do anything if you let me go" I don't mind the "What must I do to please you" but I think might be better if it was replaced by something else if your chars. chooses to stay? A separate quest after enslaved maybe? But then I understand if you won't do that. Now I'll try this on other saves & other mechanics.

Ok, I've got it up and running again, without extracting the BSAs. I can't quite put my finger on it why it starts working again, my best guess is one of 2 things: 1. I started a new new game. Not just "new" as in "load first Autosave as a prisoner, prior to character creation" but "new new" as in "endure 5 minute cart ride to Helgen for the umpteenth time". Maybe this did the trick, although I never before had any trouble using such a save, even a save somewhat later in the game worked fine (e.g. Riverwood). 2. I did not have any follower at that time, and I strongly suspect this might be it. The reason: After updating Fuz Ro D-oh from 5.4 to 6.0 I noticed subtitles that I never saw before - like when I end a dialogue prematurely, the NPCs sentence pops up at the bottom of the screen. I remember Jzeborg wrote somewhere that the Scripts SD is running during the Setup process are low priority, so maybe Fuz Ro D-oh is "idling" while I have a follower, preventing the SD script from starting properly. Or it might be the location where I try to engage SD (in Whiterun, where more NPCs might trigger it as opposed to, say, Riverwood). Anyway, SD is showing update status messages again. Thanks for the help, sometimes thinking needs a bit encouragement ^^ Edit: I tried loading a save that didn't work previously, and it still does not, even after sending my follower away and moving to a place without any NPCs nearby. Maybe the "new-new" game did the trick after all.

OK I'm stupid, my Breton can be a blood kin now, but she's also in a bandit faction. 2 Birds 1 stone so that's pretty cool Though I only wanted the Blood kin but not bandit faction but that's OK. Guess I'll try to find a way to un bandit her. 1 more thing, when your master return your stuff to your char. they keep all the keys, was it intentional that way or it's a game problem? It's kind of silly that the only way to retrieve the keys is to kill your former master. I'll move on to other aspects of the mod now.

And for SD actually helps in Sanguine Realm. Apparently it was your truly new game that fixed issue. By the way - use Alternate Start - Live Another Life.

So what I can say is that on my PC, Fuz-Ro-Doh behaves differently after the Update from 5.4 to 6.0. A surefire way to trigger them is to just run into a store in broad daylight and nab a few things, then run out. After that, just fast travel to Rorikstead or any town that's not enclosed by walls (like Whiterun) and then just keep waiting there with "T". They will eventually come for you.

BUT, that's mostly because of the stupid navmesh. I'd still request for a teleport option to destination as a very very last resort. I know, the best thing about the hired thug was being dragged to an unknown fate (during the test, an ancient dragon also dropped in as well) , but just to save time & as said, a very very last resort. Honestly, the trip was just a navmesh disaster, the voyage can only progress because I install SexAddict & slide around while having sex just to get across the river or move around a tiny rock. The worst part, The WORST part, the hired thug turns back when they're in front of Mistwatch, IN FRONT OF MIDSTWATCH!!!!! Also, I think fus ro doh stopped working when my char demerit was at 60 too. Now to the problems from the mod itself. When the hired thug is in combat, my char. gain instantly +2demerit & +2 demerit after the battle is over. Then +10 demerit for some reason. So my Breton's demerit skyrocket because the head hired thug screamed like a girl at a mudcrab & run into the river as which we all know npcs can't swim, so that alone gave +20 demerit. I also don't get it who's supposed to be the 1 leading, the 1 that owns you or their 2 entourages? Because as far as I've seen, they are the ones leading & the master stayed back or run away screaming. It'll be great if there's a bigger range. Also, it seems the masters are a lot more ignorant of their surroundings when it comes to thieves or assassins, they just want to walk onward until the navmesh acted up & got confused somewhere, this is also makes it very hard for sex to start, because before a sex could start, my char already got about 6 demerits because the master who wants to have sex decided to keep walking & the game decided to froze my Breton in place. My Breton was going to get mugged but she can persuaded the Argonian thief off, but I guess it's because of SexAddict, so the Argonian thief just had a free pass on her while her master just keep walking onward & of course, demerit skyrocketed. Other than that, the kneeling is somewhat annoying when on the move. It's great on a normal enslavement mechanic because you don't go anywhere far or move very much, but this, you have to move all the time. I'll make my char. stay real close to midstwatch this time, just to save some time.

If you want to go to mistwatch faster then you can use the following commands: coc mistwatchexterior02 - teleports you to the path going to mistwatch prid (insert bandit ID here) - targets the hired thug with the console moveto player - moves the hired thug to your location The hired thug should now be at your location just outside of mistwatch.

What works ok for me is: use auto-run, but only at walk speed. In order to stay close to the master you need to run every now and then, but since auto-walk is engaged you'll never stop to kneel. Personally, what I find a lot more irritating is e.g. being enslaved by Talmor, who will stop in their tracks all the time in order to tell you to mind your own business - I wish they just kept on walking while dissing my Avatar.
