soulbreaka Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 type in console "set timescale to 50000 " and wait in real timeI wouldn't do that if I were you. You may end up with a sky dome which ticks like a clock. too late already did lol... so how do i set it back to normal?
bjornk Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 What, the ticking sky dome? You can't. The default value for timescale is 20. Set it back to 20 using the same console command "set".
soulbreaka Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 welp after waiting for iunno how long in breezehome, set the timescale to normal and went out... only to see travelers, master vampires entering whiterun one by one... lol amusing sight. Even got enslaved to the vampires and died somehow for a minute or so after it. Thing is, The vampires are still hostile to me probably because I had a chance to escape and a message saying that it set some sort of faction count to 0 which probably made them hostile to me again. However, bandits and reavers still friendly. EDIT: provoked the friendly reaver long enough to start attacking me which ended up getting me enslaved. I stole the key, however shouldn't stealing the key remove the quest Enslaved off my quest log? Cause for me its still there and the reavers are dead.
Snoopy101 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 he newest release when I hit install sanguine debauchery in MCM it tells me to exit all menus as per normal then nothing happens. It never installs and if I re-enter the sanguine debauchery tab it still has the "exit all menus to update" message. Have tried waiting around in game for about 10 mins (I know.. not very patient haha) and using the in-game wait function. I was wondering, might tampering with the Variables work here ? SD is stuck in "Update Status: 1", which seems related to "_SD_state_mcm = 1". Would "set _SD_state_mcm to" ... 2 ? ...10 ? ...42 ? ... help to manually engage SD ? Or is "_SD_state_mcm = 1" the result of something happening, with something else waiting to happen, resulting in advancing the counter ? (What I'm trying to ask is, will simply setting the counter to -whatever- advance SD, or is this simply a variable for keeping track what's happening, with the real stuff happening somewhere else?).
Yamamaya Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Did I miss something or it is just like this: Is the Master supposed to Cage me up while he‘s sleeping?Because it’s too easy to run away when he is sleeping, then buy your freedom is pointless.

whatto51 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 i always encountered CTD when killed by a spriggan, anyone had same problem like me? or any solution? i'm using warzone civil unrest, is this mod really conflict as much? Warzone should have nothing to do with spriggan (but causes other problems). Take a look at first page and verify if you have compatible skeleton and BBP body replacer. If not, spriggan armor give you CTD.

Master put you in a cage only if a cage is available like, for example, inside fort greymoor.
bjornk Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 While the thugs are taking you to Mistwatch, if the thugs get attacked on the road, you get a message telling you that now is the time to escape, but if you try to get away, you are forced to return to the master thug. I don't know if this issue has to anything to do with wearing a blindfold but it renders the "okay, escape now" message pretty useless.
bjornk Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Reaching Mistwatch was a real pain (got several CTDs due to constant punishments and had to shift+end so many times to avoid CTDs) and now the thugs can't go inside. From what I understand the drawbridge is supposed to be open, but it is closed and they don't even go to the lever to open it, instead they wait somewhere underneath the door. If I move the thug to the door by using moveto then he goes inside. While inside sometimes the bandits and sometimes the thugs keep attacking me. It's never worked properly so far. Oh, and when the master thug goes inside, PC doesn't auto follow him. I'm thinking it's a navmesh issue at Mistwatch because the thug could not path to the lever and ends up standing underneath the door. Not sure if It's worth the attention to fix it. I doubt it. It looks more like a package issue. The moment the master thug enters Mistwatch courtyard he starts behaving differently. Perhaps a conflict between AI packages? BTW, you can move the lever to the master thug and he still won't activate it, even though he can easily reach it now. If "you" activate the lever and pull the drawbridge down, only then he starts to move again. The game counts the bandit that attacks you inside Mistwatch as an enemy and therefore you can't wait or sleep while inside Mistwatch. Her behavior is weird though, she swings her axe at me once and then she sheaths her weapon again as if I'm no longer a threat. I think this whole Mistwatch idea is quite problematic. Edit: I've just realized that I'm no longer in dunMistwatchFactionAlly faction, which explains why I am being attacked inside Mistwatch. Apparently, Payback's a Bitch stops running once the thugs have delivered you to the new master and that probably removes the player from dunMistwatchFactionAlly faction (000c0161) which means that you are now a valid target for every other Mistwatch bandit except your new master. If that's indeed the case, this is a game breaking oversight. As a workaround you can add yourself into their faction temporarily by using "player.addtofaction c0161 1" command. Once you did that, they'll stop attacking you. BTW, demerits with the previous master are also transferred to the new one for some reason, perhaps intentional?

I don't know if this issue has to anything to do with wearing a blindfold but it renders the "okay, escape now" message pretty useless. Confirm this, but it happens without blindfold too. Another thing with thugs, if you're already enslaved and they kill your master, all bindings are removed and not re-equipped, no wrist or collar. Tried it several times. Even if you acculate demerits they put you on other bindings, but still no wrist or collar.
bjornk Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Another major problem, the compass never comes back after completing Payback's a Bitch. Apparently, you need to quit the game once to get the compass back. A few other minor issues: - There's also a rock that blocks the entrance to the cage inside Mistwatch and makes it impossible to enter the cage unless disabled. - The master in Mistwatch seems to prefer the bed inside the cage and while he sleeps in it, I often have to wait outside the cage.
deadhead999 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I think this is a bug but I was finally captured by thugs and brought to a guard in Whiterun but all he did was throw me in jail and there was a dead naked bandit in the cell with me.

Jenneke Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 There's a problem with the latest update. When installing the mod or side quests (Coveted, Gold for the Wicked) there's normally a short delay after exiting the menus. Now There's no update message and the status pages lists: Update Status: 255.

For thugs, yeah, demerits are transferred. The thug is informing the mew master on the slave's behavior. Was the thug quest already running? Because I removed the AI for the thugs to activate the lever and simply open the drawbridge when the quest Payback's a Bitch ( _SD_thugslave ) starts. _SD_thugslave also ends when all 3 thugs are dead. They are most likely being killed on the way to their new hideout ( The player has supplied them with enough gold to finally buy that island ).

I had CTD after punishment scenes until deleted many non-vanilla(not presented in vanilla) tweaks(except papyrus) from skyrim&skyrimprefs ini files. Try it. I run ENB and I think that's the cause of many CTDs for me. I may also unload Hearthfire. Have you seen the junk it pumps into the papyrus log?
bjornk Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Was the thug quest already running? Because I removed the AI for the thugs to activate the lever and simply open the drawbridge when the quest Payback's a Bitch ( _SD_thugslave ) starts. I don't think Payback was running when we reached the courtyard. Payback always starts when you're inside Mistwatch tower and after the thug delivered you to the new master. Edit: Never mind the above, I'm not 100% sure whether Payback was started or was completed while I was inside MW, but I'm sure it wasn't running after the master thug left me inside the MW tower. _SD_thugslave also ends when all 3 thugs are dead. They are most likely being killed on the way to their new hideout ( The player has supplied them with enough gold to finally buy that island ). I've never been able to follow them after they left Mistwatch.
laz0r Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 So I tried to do the thug quest, and it's completely broken for me. Once the Master thug brings me to mist watch (after waiting a long LONG time) he just sits under a rock and runs into a wall. I fixed that with the console and popped open the lever, he walks inside, I automatically follow him. After that, my character loses the ability to walk up stairs, apparently. After using around 67 console commands I was able to get to the bandit you are supposed to be sold to, after which I get transferred over and get immediately attacked. Everything about this specific quest is broken for me. Even after using console commands to add myself to the faction list, I still get attacked and then everything bugs out. Scenes just start and stop constantly and I have to ~ qqq to exit the game.
bjornk Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I may also unload Hearthfire. Have you seen the junk it pumps into the papyrus log?Yes, I've seen the HF crap in logs. I really don't know why I still keep it. Perhaps to try the adoption thing.

I really don't know why I still keep it. Perhaps to try the adoption thing. The fact that they charged the price they did for that "add on" is ridiculous, it does less than 80% of the mods here or on Skyrim Nexus. I feel like I wasted the money I spent on it because there is literally dozens of mods that do the same thing if not better. The adoption feature itself is incredibly shallow, you just walk up to a kid and say "BE MY SON" and they live at your house and bitch at you constantly.
bjornk Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I absolutely agree on HF. Also there are much better player homes on Nexus. Though why are we talking about HF?

Payback actually starts when you get enslaved by the thugs. It's what controls the Thugs AI. You get "official" notification of the quest start when you get the Objective to complete. And you haven't been able to follow them because buried in the enslavement quest scripts is a shutdown function for all enslavement sub-quests and that includes Payback ( which has been removed from said function ).
laz0r Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I saw that you said you were going to try out the adoption feature, remembered that Hearthfire actually exists and then was pissed off =P. In all seriousness, I still can't get the quest to function properly. It's definitely not an installation error because the rest of the mod works without issues, it's just this one specific quest.
jbezorg Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 I absolutely agree on HF. Also there are much better player homes on Nexus. Though why are we talking about HF? Sore spot. I guess. Updates 2013.04.23 Final™: 2013042301 Only the player can kill the thugs now. It's a trade-off for the #1 issue of not being able to reach the destination for the player's new master. Quest "Payback's a Bitch" was removed from a shutdown function that was triggered when slave ownership was transferred. This resulted in the Thugs despawning and the player being removed from the Mistwatch ally faction.
