"the save game issue"

For me, as soon as i entered from the ratway i saved. But, as long as I was ingame, that save was not listed in the "Load" menu...weird, no?

After i exited (to MO2), there it was in saved games.

I reloaded the game and it appeared in the "Load" menu. I loaded it up and it seems fine.

Is this odd behavior, to me, indeed.

 

Gotta say that overall this mod is working well for my setup. My PC rig old n slow but, gets the job done if I'm patient.

I loaded the mod up to give it a try again. When I tried it originally, it was pretty early in development and there were a ton of errors, so I unloaded it and waited. it seems to have undergone a lot of improvement, so I tried again. I didn't get very far because of one of the same problems that I saw when I first tried: there are no quest markers on the map to guide you on what to do.

 

I started by being sent in through simple slavery. I talked to the woman at the desk after being let out of the cell (no marker but found her) and I was told to prepare for my first pit battle. That was it. There were no markers or suggestions about what that meant. I wandered through the maze of rooms, talked to people, and found no guidance as to what to do. I did find the arena but there was nothing happening there. No one to talk to, nothing to interact with... just nothing. Finally a woman appeared in the pit, so I figured that I was ready to go. Nope... still nothing. I talked to her, went back to the woman at the desk... nothing. Waited around in the arena with the lady I was supposed to fight just standing there... nothing. 

 

Either there was glitch happening that was causing nothing to happen, or I missed some part of the first quest. Either way, something need to be fixed here. If it is a glitch, then that needs to be fixed. If I missed something that I was supposed to do then there is a problem in the mod with guidance toward goals. Definitely, no matter what, there need to be quest markers in the mod. Without them, players run around wasting time looking for a needle in a haystack. 

 

Anyway, unloaded the mod and went back to an older save. I'm hoping that things will be more clear and work correctly with another update. I'm looking forward to playing the mod, but it needs more clarity for that to happen.

I've been wondered about this myself with recently looking at Simple Slavery. I haven't ever tried it because it just looks like too much of a mess and like it'll be too obnoxious to deal with while also still trying to actually play the vanilla game like I like to but upon reading the requirements for it to work properly it mentions to use some of these other mods.. however these other mods have their own quest starts and introductions.. so wouldn't simply slavery essentially circumvent these starts, thus breaking the function of the mods it's utilizing? 

Things in the Dark for example. I played this in LE a long time ago and there's a whole path of getting there.. but if simply slavery just picks that as the location after auction and throws you in there, I would guess nothing in the mod is going to work unless it's not triggered by the foundational quest and it's just going to work as a location with sandbox activity. Maybe something added by BaboDialglue or SL Approach. 

Idk. im still very weary about adding any of this to my game lol. 

I wonder if doing the initial introduction to this mod then carrying about your business would make simple slavery work better. (Same thing with all the mods it uses. Basically do the intros so all the locations become "active" then carry about your adventure so when Simple Slavery hits and you get tossed to the locations they're already active? Idk. just an additional thought.

Welp.. The location shares a spot with a Skooma den mod lol. Had to TCL through its door to get to the Dark Arena door.. and CTD upon entering. This mod sounds real interesting, I hope it works with what I have. 

Edit: WELL.. 3 attempts, no dice. Took the Ratway Skooma Den out, still CTD. rip.  I should have read deeper in these posts, seems I'm not the only one having this issue..

NPC related to the mod (that includes the innkeepers in riften and ivarstead) refused to talk to me with a pretty high chance for dialogue not starting on topics or straight up canceling in between.

The pit fight I bet on did not start and a couple of minutes later the quest ended.

The first dancer seeking to test me was totally unresponsive after the test.

 

And to top it off all saves I made after enabling this mod did not show up while saves I had before enabling the mod got corrupted.

 

 

Thanks for the effort, but this mod is being purged from my game.

 

 

 

Edit thought I had salvaged it and was able to play a few hours.

 

Without any exception ALL of my saves are corrupted.

Including the ones where this mod never even came close to touching.

Meaning there is a slight chance it "only" fucked up papyrus and it is "fixed" with a reinstall of Skyrim.


JFC, reading  this is scary and made me decide I can live without this one (which really sucks because it looks so cool!).

I really hope I didn't do this. I haven't tried any of the misc files people added to the thread, just the original file... and I think I'm going to slowly back away from this one.

Purged all the Auto saves made after I installed this and the game save before I installed this one is functioning which I hope means I'm in the clear since I never actually made it into the den... maybe all the CTDs upon trying to enter were a blessing in disguise..

Two part question, does this mod force the player character to be bent over, arm over stomach with other arm hanging straight down when you become a slave?  If so, does it ever return to normal animation for walking?

 

In my game my character is bent over when working for the club.

 

And the issue.  Normally when I work off my debt and leave the club my characters walking and sneaking animation return to normal.  This time I opted for my character to be sold back to Simple Slavery (the auction).  However the bent over animation stayed with my character and it hasn't reverted back to normal after a few game days.  Is there a way by console command to return the animation (if it is Dark Arena that is causing the issue)?

I tried it back in march, everything was progressing right but I never made it into the actual mod location that it's all suppose to pop off because it kept CTDing upon entry and I just took it as a blessing in disguise and walked away after purging all the saves that were made after installing it lol. I have probably 30 or 40 hours after doing that and things are ok so far. 

The file is still the same date as when I tried it so If you're planning on trying it, make a hard save before you install it, maybe even take your saves and copy them to another directory all together too.

OK, Delzaron, dunno if you come from a french native langage country, but i've just read one of the pictures where "cul de chouette" is written... I laughed alone like an idiot on my chair... THX a lot for this moment (Kamelott is alive :) ).

Actually, Simple Slavery doesn't really do anything on its own and is just there as an alternate way to send PCs to other slavery type mods. The other mods have to make their mod compatible with SS sending in the PCs and then SS is modified and updated to include those options. So, Dark Arena should already be designed to use SS as an entry point. I've never really had problems with SS, that I know about. It is a pretty efficient mod, but you would only use it if you already have other kinds of mods in your load that it would be useful to support. I have quite a few so it is essential for my mod load.

How do I progress with the quest to find Fredis once I get to the stage of entering the dark arena and having to ask around to get clues about Fredis?

I'm testing this mod and i'm not having too much trouble. (Only a few icompatiblities with sexlab defeat in the arena)

In combination with Spank that Ass gives a awesome result with the clients getting near you for... well, spanking your ass and tits when you are at dancing pole. Also having Spectator Crodws could lead to some orgys giving live to the place.

I only wish i could edit the dancer outfit so it can fit my body configuration. 

 

Edit: after an hour problems start to appear everywhere. Anyway, was fun. xD

The arena scripts are not made for sexlab defeat, so, yes, it can causes problems.

 

you can edit the dancer body outfit in CK. Just make a small patch.

I played it for hours, and it remains stable. But I don't use spank that ass ot spectator crowds.

If it is a glitch, then that needs to be fixed. If I missed something that I was supposed to do then there is a problem in the mod with guidance toward goals. Definitely, no matter what, there need to be quest markers in the mod. Without them, players run around wasting time looking for a needle in a haystack. 

 

Anyway, unloaded the mod and went back to an older save. I'm hoping that things will be more clear and work correctly with another update. I'm looking forward to playing the mod, but it needs more clarity for that to happen.

i know this was from back in march but i just tried this and the same thing happened to me. it looks like it didn't actually start the quest. if you try this mod again, just speak to the woman again and ask if she has any tasks for you again. that got it going for me.

 

my question is about the pit fight - i went to the pit and the opponent with the quest marker came in but then she just started walking right back out again. i attacked her but the mod didn't recognize when i won the fight. 
 

edit: oic. I just had to wait. Haha!

 

Once i got the hang of things,all three slavery events worked pretty well. I like the dance carpets. Good idea. I don’t know if you’re still working on this, Del, but my thoughts for minor fixes:

 

- “debt” is spelled with a b, not a p. :)

- borka doesn’t take the armor back after the pit fight

- the dancing clients gave me money when I asked for it. I assume their response should be the same as the straight up whore clients, where they refuse to hand over cash to a slave. Alas, i was unable to pay off the last of my debt with the dancing money.

True, I just finished translating it into Spanish and I detected that error, where it says "dept" it should say "debt" and where it says "flee" it should say, or so I think, "fleet".

 

For the rest, I'm going to try it and see how it goes and then I'll tell you.

I have been undergoing some editing of the scripts for Dark Arena.  I think it is a great mod. I was able to load the bare minimum mods in order to play it in SSE.

 

However, I am in need of some help. I'm not at all proficient in coding, since I prefer to administer networks and servers. I have progressed through the playthrough of the mod to where I can participate in the Private Arena Pit Fight segment. I believe the script for running the Private Arena should have similar lines of code to the regular pit fight, however, when in Private Arena, one of the slaves alerts to me being an opponent before I even have a chance to activate the arena script. It's similar to a WWE match where one of the combatants is jumped by a rival backstage. Also, the gates to the Arena do not close and lock as in the regular arena, and I don't have access to weapons. I'm also not a magic user. I prefer hand-to-hand or armed combat.

 

Question:  If I were to reorganize the script fragments by numerical order, would I mess this up? I'm trying to compare the script between regular arena and private arena and it's difficult for me to do that if the fragments are all over the place.

 

So my request:  In what scripts do I need to edit and what lines of code do I require to reflect the regular arena?

Question : Si je devais réorganiser les fragments de script par ordre numérique, est-ce que je gâcherais cela ? J'essaie de comparer le scénario entre une arène normale et une arène privée et c'est difficile pour moi de le faire si les fragments sont partout.

 

Ma demande : Dans quels scripts dois-je modifier et de quelles lignes de code ai-je besoin pour refléter l'arène habituelle ?

Don't forget to edit the cell names in order to get rid of the unserscores "_". The underscores are the reason why you can't see your saves which are made in those cells. This should be common knowledge by now. However, some mod authors still manage to mess this up.

How do I start the quest? I've talked with Keerava, but she dosen't mention anything nor do any of the npc in Riften regarding the quest. I have also tested it in the Creation Kit to see if I can figure out how the quest begins, but it doesn't load up. It seems like there might be an issue with the mod itself as all my other mods load up fine in Creation Kit.

Even for someone with experience is hard to track. The Creation Kit set the names of the stage functions probably based on the order they were made. Means for example that the function for the stage 15 of the quest can perfectly be the function 2 or 45 on the scripts. The Creation Kit also sort the functions on the scripts at it's way when edit the scripts.

 

I use the "Notepad++", the "SSEEditor" and a external Papyrus compiler.

 

With the Creation Kit or the SSEEditor you can see the names of the functions called for each quest stage but that's just a part of the info.

 

The best is write comments on the functions to find them easy.

 

The door thing is a bug easily fixed filling the key property of the door with the scripts but still can happen that for some reason one of the fighters end outside the Pit for some reason or still some of the public be inside the pit when the fight start so probably the bog with the door don't be that bad.

 

 

 

About the weapons and your lack of magic :) you are in troubles but I was just commenting on the LE thread that I'm proudly win this cheating a lot. I use to leave weapons, armors and potions on the Pit for me before start the fight and use health spell's on the fighter I place my bet when wasn't me the one fighting.

 

The rest of the game are mostly random and relays more on your FPS (the random functions on Skyrim are linked to the Frame Rate and usually return the same numbers)

 

 

The main trick with the Pit is that if you ask for keep your armor or weapons they will send you a stronger opponent and you will win less money. So you better leave some good weapon on the Pit and go for the fully naked option, they probably will give you none weapon but the opponents will be weaker. The girl you have to rescue is one of the weaker so probably she be your opponent in that case.

Well, is there anyone CTD after the main menu shows up?

I tried v1.43 with a new game, CTD.

I thought it may be caused by download corruption somehow.

I downloaded it again and it's still the same, switch it back to v1.42 for now.

I am on downgraded SE v1.5.97.

Are we supposed to have a mod that makes the players essential for the arena fights? When I get defeated I just die. I have SL Defeat but I disabled it because I didn't think it was compatible.

 

It's an interesting mod but the arena needs more male opponents(that paid to rape a woman, otherwise it will be strange) because at least 90% are females leading to lame animations with strap-ons, which is not the real deal.(I can't be the only one of this opinion). Or even better, an MCM where you can set the chance for males/females in the arena.
