If it helps anyone else . . .

I was stuck using an older version of AAF, unable to download from Discord.

Played with Antivirus settings, firewall etc.

On a whim I used MS Edge instead of Chrome and voila!

Instant download!

The public release seems a lot more stable, thanks.

Yeah, I'm gonna call it and ask for help, I followed the instructions and now fallout would do the vault gear animation when starting but instantly closes down, crashes, and even when trying to boot up the base game it crashes, so i need help, I don't know if anyone will even respond but just gonna ask for the help. Also, it is not that my computer can't run fallout so yeah, it most certainly can. just after i Install any mod related to this then it can't even boot up. so please help

Sorry to bother, and this might be the improper place to ask, but...

How did you AAF guys (authors, moderators, etc.) define the terms for banning accounts from your Discord server?

Asking because, apparently, I've been banned. If I did something wrong, I'd like to understand and get an explanation. I've been a member on that server for years, was always respectful towards other users, provided full explanation to the problem I was facing, and (I'm sure) never offended anyone. Truth be told, I'm not that active Discord user, especially during the past 2 years as I lack the time because of work; and if that's the case - I don't think it's a good approach.

Today I wanted to ask a question on the Discord server. The question wasn't related to AAF, but I know a bunch of people there are extremely helpful with all sorts of stuff. Upon starting the Discord, I noticed I'm not a member on the server. I tried to join again and again, tried to join from the application itself as well as multiple web browsers - to no avail. I then, however, attempted to join by creating a new account (unconfirmed) - and I managed to join.

Any info is much appreciated.

Well you did post in a thread that has been forbidden by dogo, or a minion may have DM you and then tried to get you banned.

Or when trying to ban someone you may have got mixed in.

Okay, I understand. That's it.

I did post in NAF's thread, yes. In fact, I like to think that I was among the first ones to check it out, both on the internet and in-game. I don't see the problem here - I installed a new framework mod which, at the time, was superior to AAF on my load order; testing it on a game whose license I owned and played on my machine.

I'm sorry, and I'm trying to be respectful here, but how is posting a comment (that eventually gets lost because there are a bunch of them) a qualification for banning? Not only that, but I, a player, posted a comment from my very own (player/consumer) perspective. At that time, NAF was fresh, and it's been well over a year since the author updated AAF (I'm still on v171.0beta).

Effectively, he's prohibiting free speech. Under the European Convention on Human Rights, I'm legally allowed to say and express my opinions. My shared thoughts, that post I made, didn't hurt anyone nor anything, except maybe for the author's ego.

This is, there's no other word for it, awful. AAF was, and still is, a great framework. I'm sure I've contributed to AAF community to an extent - from my knowledge, I was the first to test the not-recommended CBBE KneeFix skeleton with DFS, and at that time the old GSS was recommended for use with multiple skeletons. I tested it and reported my findings to AAF's Discord members, to which one of the moderators thanked me and included DFS as a recommendation in this very guide (it still is). Nevermind that, I was thinking of donating a few Euros here and there to support further developments of AAF, now that I have a solid income.

I originally posted here because I wanted an explanation, and to try and attempt to gain access to the server once again. However, I have since changed my mind. AAF (v171.0beta, at least) is decent enough at what it does, but ever since NAF showed up, it went downhill. Not just for the framework, but for the community. Deliberately checking and targeting specifically NAF and then disabling itself is pure unfair competition, and I'm not willing to support such project.

Thank you, AAF community, for the years spent. I've learned a lot, and to that I give my gratitude and respect.

However, I must express my disappointment regarding the actions of the framework's author. Rather than fostering growth within the community, it seems there is an effort to diminish the contributions of others. Everything went well when AAF's only competitor, the dated Four-Play, was in the mix, but with the emergence of new and better alternatives, it feels as though ego has taken precedence over collaboration. This is not what modding should embody, at least not in my opinion. As I move on, I’ll be seeking spaces that truly embrace creativity and innovation. This is my final goodbye to the Advanced Animation Framework.

With a bittersweet farewell, I take my leave. Adieu, AAF community!

Hi, sorry if this was answered before, but do I need to downgrade the game to use all the mods listed here? I've seen that some haven't been updated in a while, but I dont know if they are still playable or if it affects the game somehow. thanks!

Yes there is an order and it has to be in that order. That is the only way that mods will work properly.  Go to the discord server and follow their instructions. Verify your install using the tool then give them you load order and they can help sort it out.

The exact opposite. The manual was updated to the latest version of the game so IF you're running the Nex-Gen patch, the wabbajack needs updated.

no one play next gen , many mods not support , game full of bugs

thank for fast reply

don't know if it's one of these mods or something else but whenever i enter third person it makes me crouch

It's something else. That's an odd one for sure though!

I have found that installing them as pictured installed is a must (Zazout before Torture Devices (have stretching issue otherwise) and before animations) and animation in that exact order (the ones you use) to overwrite each other correctly.   One of the items not shown is AAF scrs cr, I put it as first mod in Patches section after animations and it seems to work properly.   I use the strap on with bones so the bottom is slightly different (followed the instructions on that mod page) and it works perfectly, not sure if the guide will ever include it or not though.    Glad this exists, as getting all these old mods to play nice with some of the newer mods is not an easy task!

I'm trying to initiate a scene with dog meat i can get the sexemup conversation to start and tell him to dog meat me and say right here and then it just goes on like nothing happened and if I try and get the conversation to start then it's say I can't because a scene is started. And I also can get aff home button to do anything.
