all the texture files are there but when i look in the folder only some show the image in the thumbnail/preview and its like that in the downloaded file to.... is that normal? cause its the same file i have always used so im a bit confused

why everytime i recruit curie out of vault81 the game crashes when i fast travel......

this is why i stopped playing fallout 4

curie is still registered as a mr handy bot while shes a synth is there a way to fix this?

If you've used a tool to view or edit a DDS file, Windows will cache a thumbnail of it.

That's never happened to me. Buffout 4 solves many causes of spontaneous crashes in the game engine, make sure its DLL is loading correctly according to your f4se.log.

What do you mean by "registered as?" Can you provide some additional detail? If you mean for AAF scenes, again that's not a problem I'm experiencing (she engages in sex just like a human), but it sounds like something is pretty wrong with your game,

Ah...They mean that Curie (as a synth) is still identified as a 'Mr. Handy' by Sexlab and mods like 'Autonomy Enhanced'.  In the console, one can click on her and change her race to 'human' via the 'setrace' command (as this will solve any of the Sexlab issues), but, as you intimated, they would need to solve the CTD issue before this would be of benefit.  In all honesty, I haven't found any game breaking issues doing this, but I don't normally use Curie as a companion that often, so I could be way off base.

during AFF scenes it says shes a mr handy and cant find any animations to play... she is a synth lol i even tried changing her race via console commands... didnt help.

 

As soon as i dismissed curie i stopped crashing when fast traveling... well its not really a crash but it is... the game stops loading at what i estimate to me 90% and does nothing ( waited 60 mins still stuck)

is there a way to disable BoS from exploring the map? they keep breaking the quests.. if they stayed the F home there wouldnt be a problem lol i do keep "disable" ing them but that can be hard to target them when ur surrounded by 9 companions lol

I have just updated my PC and started playing FO4. This guide is pretty cool! I just have the problem, that I CTD everytime I install TortureDevices. Any Ideas why this happens?

Some people have reported that Vortex on Windows 11 has trouble installing mods that add an AnimTextData folder, such as Torture Devices, leading to CTD on loading the main game menu. Are you using Vortex on Windows 11 by any chance?

What a strange problem. Can hardly imagine what could be technically causing the issue there, unless it's some protected directory. Does it happen in cases when Steam library is located at its default path in Steam directory inside Program files, or does it also happen in cases when Steam library is located somewhere in non-protected directory where user can safely write to and read data from?

 

Personally, I'm using Windows 10 and my Steam library is located on a separate partition, so it's not on a system drive at all and therefore it's not protected like it would be in its default path and I never ran into this issue. I mean, Fallout being Fallout, so I'm getting CTDs here and there, but not ones I could particularly associate with Torture Devices.

I can use F11 but I cant click on Nate & when I click on Nora it says that she would be attracted to me if I wasn't so poor lol what's caused that cos I need it gone xxx  I get this when I use the Home key xx I've been using AAF for a long time now & never had this thing come up xxx

For a start on a (more or less) new PC I sticked to the standards. It is an interesting bug, since it is a VORTEX-only issue. Modding a game for the first time is always a bit of try and error. But I'm a bit tired of Skyrim and I need something else. I wonder what I will find out if I start with modding  Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Oblivion....

 

But now, that I have some many experts here: I need suggestions for the rest of the Stuff: Skimpy armours, Sexy NPC'S and all the must have mods for a male char, that likes to enslave and exploit all enemies.

I personally enjoy GrafPanzer's CCO replacer collections, but also Lazman's and Ghaan's replacers are nice for filling in some gaps in CCO (Piper's outfit, hazmat suit, etc).

Unfortunately, most of the mods here are female PC oriented so i had to make my own fun by modifying almost every single mod i downloaded to make it focused on female NPCs rather than player character.
Anyway, "Human resources" (or "just business" but i didn't try that one yet) is a must have for a male PC playthrough.

What are you irritated by? Note that the CK is pretty buggy, but there is a fix for some of the worst problems at least.

I haven't played Skyrim much less created mods for it, but my understanding is that Fallout 4 uses an evolution of the game engine from Skyrim with a variety of functional changes, and so the CK is a modification of Skyrim's made to work with Fallout 4's changes.

Is a long way from geck, anyway I agree with you. I'll state one thing I dislike is the setup and that you need to pretty much decompile much of the pex back to psc yourself plus set up all the paths.

The FO4CK ships with the source for all the scripts, they're just bundled in a zipball. It should prompt you to automatically decompress them into the correct location the first time you use the CK's interface.

Hi, what program i can use to manage this mods? I already have NMM but this program is less comfortable to use, i can't see if any mods are overwriting.
