sen4mi Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 How can we find out when the manual has been changed? For some reason, instead of an "Edited" message with a timestamp, the first post does not have a timestamp. Is there some kind of change log posted somewhere, for this manual?

I'm not sure about a change log, but there is in fact an edit timestamp at the bottom of the post. The title also has a date which is presumably updated whenever there's an edit of any significance.

The authors have previously expressed disinterest in supplying a changelog because doing so would require more additional work that they feel like investing on top of maintaining the manual itself.
sen4mi Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) I see the date in the title now. And, I figured out where the bottom of the post was, which is where the edit timestamp was, I don't know how I missed both of those. Now I just have to figure out what has changed since the last time I read the thing. Which, with my ability to get distracted by details, is going to be... time consuming. Edit: and I am not the only one who is easily lost here. For example, the manual currently recommends againt Baka ScrapHeap. On the positive side, it does clearly spell out the reason for this recommendation. But the mentioned F4SE script is long gone, and a best practice with Buffout 4 -- according to another manual -- is to install Baka ScrapHeap and disable Buffout 4's memory manager. I mostly wish other parts of this manual had included details about issues, so that I could figure things out. ("Reading all the instructions" doesn't help enough when the reasons for those instructions are missing.) Edited March 26, 2023 by sen4mi

I do have one question though, can anyone give me some advice? I seem to be having regular alignment issues, the penises seem to be clipping through my pelvis in most scenes, is there a fix for this or is it just the way it is? I have a slim body, do I maybe need to change my body type to be larger to accomodate or is there another work around? Some animations were made for different body shapes/proportions. For example, Savage Cabbage's animation pack was built for alignment with Fusion Girl, so things may look "off" when using CBBE instead. Also some animation packs were created with the assumption that you'd automatically scale all actors, while others weren't. Ultimately, it's all a bit of a mess. My advice is don't expect body parts to line up perfectly unless you want to spend a ton of time customizing every animation yourself. 1
Dieselmutt Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Just want to drop a thank you for the guide. I appreciate all the work that goes into it and the mods themselves. 1
RenFL2 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Does anyone know if UAP fixed the issue with Mutated Lust? I keep having CTD issues starting a AAF scene and I don't want to join the mod's discord.
MrFuturehope Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Hello guys, I recently came back to Fallout 4 and changed and updated a few mods. I just noticed that when having sex with NPCs, one of the characters (either player character or the NPC) in the scene keeps their clothes on. I don't remember this happening in the past, does anyone know why could this be happening?

What's initiating the AAF scenes? When installing AAF, what compatibility level did you select in its FOMOD menu for stripping mod-added clothing? Have you perhaps edited or deleted the default AAF_equipmentSetData.xml file provided by AAF?
DreaM MakeR Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 ._. dificult making a hetero male with these mods
vaultbait Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 1 hour ago, DreaM MakeR said: ._. dificult making a hetero male with these mods Depends on what you're going for. You can use Violate to subdue female combatants and have sex with them, getting them pregnant with Family Planning, use Just Business or Human Resources to enslave and put them to work on your settlements, free female Commonwealth Captives and demand sex from them... sure many of the other mods assume a female/submissive player, but not all. A lot of the lower level utility type mods are intentionally written to be gender/sexual-preference agnostic. 1
Incubusbul Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 I have approximately 60 GB space on the only SSD drive I have, which is also my system drive. Would it be enough for this setup?
Kallus Tacticus Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Played around with some different mods, seem to be cookin with gas now and can delete and remod my game pretty quickly, before I sink my teeth into a campaign I just wanted to get a few opinions from you guys. The big question I see is... Fusion Girl or CBBE??? Which has the least miss matches with compatible animations? Which has better mouth/ass/vaginas for a good close up? Which do you guys personally think is best?

There's never going to be a "right" answer to that question; everyone will have their own preference and some rather strong opinions on why their choice is the best. I believe the general consensus right now is CBBE for outfit support and thicker bodies, fusion girl for better moving naughty bits. Both have their pluses and minuses, ultimately it will come down to your own personal preference. My advice? instal both with some basic outfits that will work for both, enable one at a time, test, and see which one you personally prefer. 2

There's a slew of stuff converted for current FG versions with coverage for pretty much anything popular. As for "teh thicknez" there's a BodyFat slider in FG which makes creating thicker presets a cinch. The example configuration I document for Unhealthy Craving (which is a mod all about weight gain) straight up uses FG's BodyFat slider alone, no need for anything else unless you really want to fine-tune the proportions of your hungry little piglet. I'm not going to say one body replacer is necessarily better or worse than another. Try them all, see what you prefer. But most importantly, be wary of people who have opinions... in lots of cases those opinions are formed based on what they saw someone else say who tried a mod years ago, possibly not even correctly installed, and just assumes nothing has ever been added, fixed or improved. 2

Very true, I was just trying to make my answer as neutral as possible. Also, to add to the outfit support, someone released a conversion reference for CBBE to Fusion Girl 1.75 awhile back that makes converting even unsupported outfits a five minute process so long as the outfit already has CBBE bodyside files with it. I guess at this point in time the outfit point is pretty much null and void outside of some rare exceptions.

More recent releases come with "Vanilla" and "CBBE" conversion references (BodySlide option in FG's FOMOD installer), so you don't even have to go hunting for one any more. One of the main reasons I find FG convenient is that it is a (3BBB) physics enabled body, so you don't need to build outfits with a special "physics" preset or go hunting for 3BBB-revised conversions. If something is converted for modern FG then it supports body physics and 3BBB movement because those are an official part of the base body. Edited April 1, 2023 by vaultbait

flowofthewave Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Im guessing i can look up a youtube video for the file explorer fix and Thank you, first time trying to mod
JorvikJess Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Thanks Saya Scarlett for the AMAZING guide, been a while since I've done any mods Nearly finished downloading so we will she how well I follow instructions this week
Guest Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 question, does the buffout compatibility for looksmenu make .20 stable for this lists mod needs?
vaultbait Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 1 hour ago, RandomKhajiit said: question, does the buffout compatibility for looksmenu make .20 stable for this lists mod needs? Buffout 4 doesn't (attempt to) address the penis morph issues people have reported with LM 1.6.20. That said, some of us use 1.6.20 and don't see any more penis morph problems than they did with 1.6.18. The Manual says to use 1.6.18 though, so if you encounter any problems and want assistance in the AAF Discord help channels, make sure you're using and testing with LM 1.6.18. Also be aware that Buffout 4's F4EE patch is specifically for LM 1.6.20 (per the Buffout 4 changelog), it's not valid for earlier LM versions as it addresses newer issues in 1.6.20 and removed the fixes for earlier LM versions because they were incorporated into those later LM releases.
Guest Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 interesting, seems like a mods overlaping with it then incorrectly, makes me miss racemenu and xpmse....lol, i'll stay on .18 for now i guess
sen4mi Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Has anyone figured out what changed here last friday?
