Carradon Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Bit of what I assume to be a minor bug showing up in my game, I'm hoping for some recommendations/assistance. I set the timeframe for pregnancy to be pretty much normal human, so 39 weeks/9 months. After a lot of gaming and getting close to the end of the game, I finally started getting near to the first births, and they mostly went off without a hitch. However... Of the 3 that have occurred, Sunny, Veronica and Red Lucy all had triplets. GGG, GGG & BBB for each respectively. I figured this might be a bug w/3 kid items being dropped into their inventory, but using the medical detector item, each gave birth 3 times, so it was "intended". The multiple births chance is set at the standard, I believe, as I didn't edit it... it shows a "10"... I assume that means a 10% chance. But 3 births all generating triplets, and all those triplets being the same sex seems remarkably unlikely. Of more import, Willow was supposed to give birth a good 240 hrs before Red Lucy, based on the order in which they got knocked up. However, once she got to 171.51 hrs out, with the percent pregnant showing 100%, she just sort of got stuck. Red Lucy "passed" her in delivery time, and still probably a good 300 hrs in game time past her due date she is still stuck at 171.51 hrs from delivery. This is clearly a bug, but I'm unsure how to go about "fixing" it. I've tried spending time away from the cell she's in, multiple days in fact. She progressed thru the pregnancy thru multiple DLCS, leaving her in her apartment at Novac without issue... the countdown went fine as far as I can tell until she got hung up at 171.51. Thoughts, especially on how I might 'induce' labor and get back to the gaming? FWIW, for RP purposes, once she reached P2 and it was pretty clear adventuring was dangerous, I left her behind in safety, but now I'm at endgame and ready to wrap things up and I'd like to bring her along. But this 171.51 hrs thing is driving me nuts

But this 171.51 hrs thing is driving me nuts I don't really know what might have caused this, but you mentioned setting pregnancy length to 100%, and even that there were 1 cycle of birthing already, might be possible that you got floating point overflow as FNV is only 32 bit game. If game restart doesn't fix it, you can try sending debug log from SCR, you can also try resetting pregnancy too, if everything else more or less works fine

If game restart doesn't fix it, you can try sending debug log from SCR, you can also try resetting pregnancy too, if everything else more or less works fine All my settings are below... the only thing that's "non-standard" as far as I can remember is 1) I set pregnancy length for 280 days (that may be standard, I can't truly recall, but I assume that it isn't so that the time scale of the game allows pregnancies to come to fruition quicker for normal game play... I went for realism) and 2) I bypass the semen calcs, as there is a small bug that results in semen usually not getting into a female unless this is selected (per author, though it's been months since I started playing, so perhaps that's been fixed or otherwise a better solution is out there now.) As for the 100%, i just set the time to 280 days, which shows as 100%. I think you may be referring to my point that Willow was at 100% of her pregnancy timeline. Using the medical scanner 3.0 item/hotkey, you can check on an NPCs fertility, drug status, etc etc. It shows her at 100% of her pregnancy period being complete, yet the hours are stuck at 171.51. I'm presuming that the bug is between the 100% being complete but the hours not. I did notice something similar with Sunny, the first pregnancy in the game. I checked the scanner with her at one point when she was about 250 hrs away. I came back with about a day left, and the timer hadn't advanced. I wasn't sure what happened, so I traveled back to my home base, and returned 24 hrs later. When I got back to the bar in Primm, the game had apparently "recalc'd" and she showed 100%, and -5 hr so hours, so she started going thru labor as soon as I entered the bar. That's when she dropped triplets. Assuming 10 on the multiple kids per ova means 10%, and only twins are typical, my 3 sets of triplets do seem buggish I can deal with that easily enough. Ignore it, or just drop the "extra" child items somewhere and let the game clean them up. Now i'm just hoping that at some point the mod will recalc for Willow and I can get her to give birth so I can take her thru the endgame and complete this run through. If anything in the above clarifies things, or you have an idea how to make that desire of mine workout, I'd love to hear about it. In the meantime, I did a full reboot on the computer hoping that might assist.

As for timer updates or any pregnancy updates at all, you can change update distance to more larger area, as NPC will update timer only if in range (and if in the same location), takes same ~10-20 seconds usually, can decrease update frequency as well Extra note, pregnancy may trigger premature birthing starting from like ~90%, this will force it to 100% on the scanner. So 250 or 171 hours left with your settings is around ~96%. Try standing with them for some time, maybe scripts will kick in If birthing is still not triggering, you can either try to re-add birthing token to them (additem SexoutP4BirthingTokenF) or reset pregnancy for everyone in mcm

As for her, I've spent about 3 weeks of in game time with her selling items and finishing up a few minor items/quest type stuff before running to the end on NCR and Independent endings... she's still at 171.51 hrs left. I tried adding that item to her, and it just gave me an item not found for parameter objectID. Not surprising, since I think you need to use additem commands with a ref id num, which will also be mod order dependent. Searching on the first part of the name (sexoutp4b) revealed no items with that name. It did show a idle animation, which I assume is the idle for when they drop to the ground and go thru the process of actually giving birth... I've seen that 3 times now. I did another search on "birthing" and it came up with a fair bit... there's an misc "birthing animation in progress flag" (I assume that's a miscellaneous item that may mean birthing has begun?), 4 "spel"s (probably a "spell", since a lot of the game's engines is based on TEM), an armor token (zBirthing TokenF). I'll try adding that token, or the misc item and see what happens...

I'll try adding that token, or the misc item and see what happens... Well, trying to "additem" to the ref ids for the misc & armor didn't do anything. She didn't appear to gain any items, tokens or otherwise. I'll see if I can figure out the console command for casting a spell in FNV, since there is one labeled "birthing due". Perhaps if I can figure that out, it'll advance her to actually giving birth. Running across the Mohave with her 9 (now 10!) months pregnant isn't doing much for the old immersion...
Carradon Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Well, none of that helped at all... I turned on debug mode for preg, and that revealed something interesting. There's a line in it that says Preg4BirthEvent Willow: Birthing Locked out at Birthstage 0 by PregBodySwap. If I had to guess, that may be related to the fact that Willow's inventory is controlled by the original author's use of a series of storage boxes to control her worn inventory... Perhaps that controlled inventory is making Willow bug out. I believe I can add Willow to the JIP CC&C panel, which I think prevents the usage of the storage boxes for clothing (I took her off of it when I started the game, since I figured I would just use her author's boxes and speech options to control her clothing, rather than manually controlling what she put on and off item by item. Iff I can add her back on, fingers crossed, perhaps that locked birthing will proceed??
Carradon Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Well, I can edit her clothing manually, but that doesn't quite seem to have done anything. A saw one debug line about a birthing token or some "m" thing not being greater than 0. I didn't catch that line... I went back in and tried adding a token and that didn't do anything.... So I reloaded, and then used the debug mode to generate the following screen shots. Any ideas how to clear a locked out birthstage 0?

As for your suggestion, first line, I ran in console and got: I ran it with that the SetEVFl as an "l" vice a "1" (it was hard to tell which it was. I didn't get any error... command line just accepted the command and went to a line. Going back to check on the what was going on using the debug mode, I see... So, she's still locked up, even though I have stripped her of all gear in case the author's mechanisms for handling clothing are causing the issues, and have run the NX 'script' that you suggested, which I assume was designed to set a flag. As for your second point, I have used the console command for quite a lot over the years, and was clicked on her to make her the active referenced item. But, just to be sure, I did it again... I think this is because, in general, the console uses refid for items, and not alpha characters, though I admit, I've never tried to use the name of an object when adding. But, just to be thorough, I have searched for anything that has "birthing in it"... So, the item you reference, SexoutP4BirthingTokenF doesn't appear to be an item. I can add the other items using their refid nums easily enough. I had no luck with any of those previously... IIRC, the zBirthing TokenF didn't do anything. Adding the MISC item above, she did gain the misc item as a token in her inventory, and she dropped to the floor and went thru an animation (one that included at least one note to the player in the upper left telling me something was happening with her.) But, the birthing process didn't actually occur and she just stayed on the ground with no further notes to the player or any obvious process actually happening. Truly, it just looked like an animation was running, but there was nothing going on to move the "process" along, or even end it an any point. This is why I surmised that using the spel up above might do something in terms of "forcing" an activity to take place in game. As noted, the engine is used for the TES games too... and if you use the "cast" command in the console with a refid and target refid, it should, in theory, (maybe!) start a process in game. I didn't manage to get anything to happen. Not sure if that's because FNV uses something other than "cast" (I don't think this is a problem, as I did use that command and got no error), or if the "left" or "right" bits at the end of that kind of command line are required (Skyrim casts spells using left or right or both hands, and I'm not sure if FNV would need similar language. I tried using "left" and using no left/right flag, and got nowhere. In any case, I would like to reiterate how much I appreciate you taking a look at this issue for me. Thank you for that, and I hope the above might help further...

If you can't use editor id I provided through console and only numerical one, then you're most likely on outdated versions of SCR/SOP/MPO, as newest versions require nvse plugins that allows use of editor id commands in console. And if so, I don't really remember how old birthing code was working (only remember that it was partially broken). I rewrote like half of it in latest versions and also included some failsafe functions Edited September 5, 2024 by Neutron_rus
Carradon Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Neutron, Thank you again for taking the time to look at this. I can type fairly well, so adding a mod so I can type and paste things into the console isn't really necessary imo. I only started this run, hopefully my last, a couple of months ago, and everything was set up and tested at start to ensure things were working. Other than some missing meshes for certain clothing items, by and large everything works great. And, all the mods/files are the most recent as of a few months ago. So far, the birth process for the other female npcs has gone without any hitches, so overall the preg mod is working fine. Again, I think this is an issue with Willow in particular, and I'm certain that this BodySwap thing is the likely culprit, because the debug opt in preg more or less says so. I have run the NX_SetEV etc. command as indicated, with Willow as the target, but I'm still getting some pregnancy locked out language in the debug. More over, I'm seeing just as clearly that Cass, also preg and also in the same cell, seems to be progressing without a hitch. I copied the following from the most recent, post NX_ command you noted. FWIW, the bodyswap error seems to be gone. However, the Preg4BirthEvent Willow: seems to be failing, given the <Null> language. If I might ask, could you take a look at the actual language in the attached screen shots, and based on what you see, indicate what might be the issue, post NX for the bodyswap flag being set? Thank you, Meanwhile, having run the flag set, I will make a hardsave with the flag in place, and see what adding the armor and misc tokens to willow do.
Carradon Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Ok, as soon as I posted all the above and went back into the game, she literally dropped down and began labor. Perhaps I didn't give her enough time yesterday after running the NX command. So, she's delivered (two females this time, as opposed to the other 3 all delivering triplets.) Whatever about that... She's got a a nudebody, a zBodySwap TokenF and a zFertility TokenF equipped as armor/clothing items... I'm going to guess that these will drop off at some point? I'll equip normal gear on her for future game play, and to the extent that these stay equipped, leave them alone for the time being. Assuming that the don't go away 'naturally' over the next few game/real life hours, can these tokens/nudebody be removed from her without bugging anything? As for the twins, I'm going to assume this is more of the interaction of long running game w/long running preg time and simply take one of the two children away from her and sell it to the Followers. Consider it a form of adoption Thanks again.

In old versions birthing token was skipping some stages, thus you see null values, as they was just not set, It usually was taking a few null cycles before it actually picks the correct one. I really recommend to update Sexout Common Resources, SOPreg, MPO (if you have it), so it will be easier to pin point problems in the future Edited September 6, 2024 by Neutron_rus
drbalthazar Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I've been searching through the thread to see if anyone had a similar issue, but I've tried running this mod, but it causes TTW to hang at the loading screen, the main menu doesn't pop up, it just freezes at the ranger screen. I have everything else installed. When I Uncheck the Pregnancy data mod and PregnancyV3, Sexout runs perfectly. All animations are perfect.

Zaraia0 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 I've been playing modded Fallout TTW and everything has worked with only minor hiccups, except for the pregnancy content. It took me a while to realise since I don't know exactly how it's supposed to work, but my character just never gets pregnant. I'm in the Mojave now and mods dependent on Pregnancy don't seem to work either, like I can't find Martin in Goodsprings. Ticking "always get pregnant" doesn't seem to help either, except that it tends to make the game crash when sex starts. Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this? Simple load order is just not enough here. To prevent some crashes you can also try installing NVAC. As for how pregnancy works, it depends on information that Sexout Spunk provides, if there's no Spunk data, then there's no pregnancy as well. "always get pregnant" will not help if you have problems on Spunk's side, as it only skips luck rolls when getting pregnant, so better try 'semen bypass' option instead.

It works, you just have 0 ova that can be impregnated. High levels of fertility generates more ovas. Looking at fertility cycle, it's just started, so 0% as fertility level should be fine. As for how to make it more faster, try changing fertility settings. Example of fertility settings, if going for breeder like mods. You can set natural peak up to 300% if need (this will make triplets to appear more often). For speed pregnancy you can also change 'Preg Length' option to 1-5%. 7 hours ago, Zaraia0 said: Or do you mean that there are plugins which never got updated and should be removed entirely? yes, this, sexout mods that is older than 2014-2015 most likely won't work correctly

Thanks, with that I did manage to get pregnant, at least according to the scanner. Except I realise there is no change to the body, and while clothes turn into maternity versions, wearing them turns me invisible. I did get the maternity clothes pack. Also nothing happens at the end of pregnancy, it stops at "-33.35 days left". I feel like I'm missing some requirement that's so obvious it's not mentioned anywhere.

Anyway, if it minus, it should have triggered birthing cycle. From my experience, if you have Crash Logger plugin, this script will never work correctly, possibly other scripts won't work correctly as well.
