Right' date=' figured the cause of my issue. Petra is of the carrier race. Blank textures are unavoidable because there is literally no body textures that I can find for this race.

Thanks for the assist gregathit, sorry for wasting your time.

No problem! :D

Somehow, somewhere, I managed to screw things up (an easy thing for me to do) and find my animal trainers no longer want to cooperate with the training program. Humanoids work fine, animals ain't workin' it. Maybe I should bring them more beef...

BUT, good news! I found that using Tachicat2 on slave and trainer gave me the same results that a functioning animal previously had.

Lovin' the Lovers plugins, hehe!

Check your load order. 9 times out of 10 that is the problem.

what's so good about getting into the attic above Simza's room (using the key the goblin gives you for giving him a really broken in slave)?

And how do find the spy?

The attic key comes in much later in the quest line. For the spy, I used a detect life something - either a potion or scroll, don't remember which. If you don't want to search Bravil Underground, you can find the spy in the CS then use the detect life to attack the spy (I accidentally found the spy that way). Save the spy loot, might come in handy later.

A tip for the spy:

Look around the crates near the club store, where that big guy is. I think his name is Tom's Burdon or something

How do I get captured slaves to be registered? This was a new install of Oblivion and a new game so shouldn't be any issue of old save data.

I get them with the LST Slave Spell, the dialogue pops up when they get up, and they have the [Order] dialogue option. But it isn't registered for trainers, or for the mind erase NPC guy, etc. they show "Error invalid object" or no object or something.

All NPCs or just some? I did have problems with some Better Cities NPCs. They were some guys from the Chorrol bathhouse. I could enslave them but not train them. These NPCs were odd though, no persuasion meter and no dialog topics, they said one thing (zoomed in) and then quit. I never figured out what the problem was, just released them and found other NPCs. If that's the issue try a vanilla NPC, like a beggar or something. If Bravil Underground quest NPCs are giving you problems, then something is definitely wrong.

I'm not an expert on load order, but LoversMB2 should be after your bashed patch, above LoversIdleAnimsPriority and LoversAnimObjectsPriority. See the load order in the spoiler here.

The first mate is part of a quest for Bravil underground. You won't be allowed to mess with her until the proper time.

If you get an invalid actor\object then there is a reason for it. They have been marked for you not to mess with, so that it protects the actor for later quests with this mod or some other one.

Bottom line - unless you are on a quest to get that npc (which obviously would be a mod conflict), pick on some other chick\dude to be your sex toy .... er slave. :)

Soo... I have two questions: First of all, where do I store/train my slaves, and how do I get them there?

Second, for the My First Assignment quest, I have enslaved whatsherface, but the quest marker still points to here. What do I do now?

Talk to your slave, klick slaveorders.

!!!Learning by doing!!! Test all the options. And look closely around in the city, go in all houses.....!!!!

You yourselves can train your slaves. There are human and creature trainer in the underground city. You can prostitute her. And you can tell the slave "follow me".

You can "store" your slave everywhere = tell the slave to "wait here"

Ordering a slave to Wait Here, or Relax Here, will keep them in the current cell, whether the shack you get in Bravil Underground, another house you own (I have a bunch in Battlescorn) or any other place. They won't run away, there's no need for a pen or a cell. Wait Here just leaves them standing while Relax Here lets them do idle stuff like eating, talking, and sleeping.

You also should have a Pack Slave spell. That will put them in the crystal ball slave pack item in your inventory. That can hold up to 9 slaves. Click on the crystal ball to release the ones you want - they'll materialize right near your. It's useful for storing slave NPCs you don't want to deal with at the moment, or storing slave NPCs in full armor/weapons for backup if you ever need it. And if you are doing Bravil Underground as a low level character, you might.

Careful with the Order choice to Set Free. That doesn't release the slave, but I suspect it allows the NPC to do it's regularly scheduled whatever, but I could be wrong. I tried that on a slave in the middle of Bravil and never saw him again, I have no idea where he went. Relax Here seems to keep them in the cell. Set Free is different.

For the first assignment - I assume you mean Mia, the Knight in the strip joint?

Talk to the slave trainer head, Onan. Once you complete those requirements, keep training her until you get consistent "Yes, master/mistress" responses. Talking to the quest NPC will get a quest update once the requirements are satisfied. Once you complete Mia's training, talk to the novelist.

For some quest NPCs it appeared to me that you have 2 concurrent requirements: break the slave normally and fulfill some other specific requirements (for Mia that's train with creatures 10 times). I broke a few slaves with only creature training only to get obvious dialog options that indicated the quest was not fulfilled. Switching to human/trainer training would eventually fulfill the quest (or vice versa).

Um...Gregathit...Your khajit has suddenly decided to stop wearing torso and leg armor. So has Cyril and Look For The B-Man and Back. They still have their gloves and boots on, and their armor's still in their inventory...they're just not wearing it. And it's just those three too. Noone else has had a sudden streaker urge.

Oh, Huheey might be one too, but he still has pants on. Maybe he got shy at the last minute...

By the way. What's the deal with Look For The B-Man and Back? Bloody long name.

Don't know what you mean by un-break. If a quest is broken then it is broken and your probably going to have to resort to an earlier save game.

This is just to general a question.

Please clearly state what quest and what is broken along with your load order and we may be able to help you.

They don't suddenly decide this. You have installed a mod which is preventing them from wearing their armor\clothes or have a mod which is conflicting with this one. Post your load order and we may be able to figure out which it is. Note stuff you have installed\done recently to cause this.

Many of the names are translations from the original Japanese mod this was translated from. HanPL and I took the liberty of changing a few but left many of them "as is".

I don't know. For some of the quest NPCs I either released them or bought them back and released them (the first mate, for example, since I had just started the game had not done her related quest yet).

Absolutely - I'm amazed at the difference simply moving a mod up or down one or two spots can make. I've booched things dozens of times due to improper mod placements. :P

Fortunately the supplied list usually gets me back on track. w00t!

Unsure here also - haven't done any of the main or guild quests in some time now...

"Set Free" lets them resume daily activities, but they still acknowledge you as Master. "Release" (I suspect) gives them individual status again, removing the 'slave' aspects.

Yep, "Set as Free" is mostly a halfway state between released and enslaved. They go about their normal activities, but retain the "[Orders]" topic and only have the "What do you need, Master/Mistress?" greetings. I enslaved two NPCs: Nermus the Mooch from Chorrol and Thoronir, the Unfriendly Competition quest wood elf in the IC Market District. I had not completed the Unfriendly Competition quest. After breaking them, I ordered them both to "Set as free". Nermus wouldn't say his usual beggar lines until I released him. I was able to complete most of Thoronir's quest stages except for the last. The last requires him to speak a particular greeting, which was overridden by his slave status. Once I released him he said the appropriate line and I could complete the quest.

So it appears that Set as Free can still break quests. Once the quest was completed, I could cast the enslave spell on Thoronir without having to knock him out first. After the "Put this on" and "You are now my slave" lines he answered "I am so happy" and he was back to being a slave, with training progress intact. Both him and Nermus kept the 100 disposition with my character even after being released. They also kept the new clothing I gave them before releasing them.

On the topic of clothing/armor on slaves, I noticed some NCPs I have enslaved (these were from Better Cities) wouldn't stay naked (I tend to keep slaves nude except for the wrist irons). I tracked this down to level list items in their inventory. This eventually became problematic as after a few level ups by my character they would wear clothes despite having an empty inventory (but would appear nude during sex). They also would not wear other clothing I game them. I eventually fixed it, but the fix was rather convoluted. My conclusion: if there is any doubt, check the NPC in the Construction Set, not just to make sure they are not set to respawn, but also to delete any leveled list inventory items. I think I created a new .esp to save these changes instead of changing the Better Cities.esp directly.
