Not sure if this has been reported before but during the quest interview with Nick Valentine if you choose the FIRST option first, the game just freezes up after you are done saying the lines and it seems like you should be responding to something that Ivy has said, but there isn't any dialogue box from her showing.  IF you pick the very bottom choice first, everything seems to run just fine.  Tested it repeatedly because I thought that Heather was messing with the scenes but it happened even after I sent her packing before I got told by Nick to "Take a Seat."

Ideally Ivy should stand near Nick and Ellie as she comments on every choice. If you use multiple followers mods, ex. dogmeat, and some more followers they would mess up scene, 'coz agency is too small for big party. Try "moveto" command to spawn her near MC. Same could happen at ArcJet with Danse's quest

So I have 4000 hours in Fallout 4, i have been with the sames mods over the last 2 years, doing all the quests etc.

I installed this mod and it has been a blast really, but i have reach a new bug that never happened before, when i go meet Father for the first time, shaun doesnt talk to me at all. So i cannot continue the main quest.

I had older saves so i decided to go with Ivy to nuka world.

Does someone had that bug before with Ivy?

Inside Steins construct whenever the parasite tries to attack me, my character starts running at super speed and plays the creepy music until the parasite insta kills me and I have to reload. I managed to get through the firewall, talk to Deborah and finish quest. I left back to the Robco battle zone but now in 3rd person whenever I walk I have the same superspeed as when music plays before I get attacked by Stien's parasite.

I loaded a prior save from the moment I wake up after being caught by Stein and the moment I get through the 3rd firewall door where I no longer have to worry about being caught in the lights, I get same super speed in 3rd person and can not avoid it. It's like my character speed is double but only in third person & only when not walking or sprinting (Capslock jogging).

I tried save scumming (but every time the parasite music plays as soon as I exit the menu if I am not standing on top a candle and I die) and I one shot the run twice not even letting the lights touch me at all. I even tried using consoles commands to move around and open containers and still got superspeed bug the moment I walk through the 3rd firewall door to talk to Deborah.

How do I avoid/fix this superspeed issue? I tried modifying my character speed through console but noticed it changes my walk, jog & run speed, So if I fix one I just break the other two.

Edit: Seems there is an invisible trigger applying the effect that won't go away. I just used TCL and took a really wide path to speak to Deborah and avoid the speed issue.

#1.  I've noticed the global variable which seems to allow Ivy to be "aware" of Heather but not sure if it is even being used despite the fact that there also seems to be dialogue where Ivy is specifically addressing Heather.  SO.....does that variable actually work to allow Ivy to speak with Heather and if so how does it get updated?  Heather seems to be "coughing" every now and then which I believe is a dialogue option for her in THIS mod, but it could be in hers also.  Very curious about this because ANY dialogue interaction between the two of them would be awesome!

#2.  Does the _ivy_Arousal_Threshold go any lower than 5 naturally through the course of events?  Is it necessary to have it above ONE to allow the intimacy scene to play properly?

Some genuine laugh out loud moments with Ivy :) Got to love the writing - mid hyper-combat, the first time she said "I think I made soup" while watching a gentle rain of exploded raider landing around her... I almost died I was laughing so much.

and I have to say: Ivy and Heather are hilarious with their overlapping conversation: Heather worshipping Danse and Ivy just slagging him off in the same breath: priceless :D

I'm having an issue where Ivy will only punch. She will pull her gun out, but as soon as enemies show up she puts it away and punches.

There's an option in her Holotape to Force Equip her Hand Cannon.  Have you tried that yet?

EDIT - Oh, and are you running any mods which increase unarmed damage to ridiculous levels?  IF so, it may be the game AI chooses the MOST damaging method of combat.  OR, somehow her default combat package got changed to unarmed.  Might be wise to try re-establishing her default combat parameters as well.  Since I don't use "pretty" female combat animation mods, and I'm NOT fond of the manly female one hand weapon stance, I gave her a custom AKM and she is VERY deadly with it.

No no mods that change unarmed damage. I tried changing her back to default combat but she still used unarmed.

Force equipping her hand cannon fixed the issue though. Although from what I understand she won't use other weapons now?

No clue.  Take a look at the damage of her Hand Cannon and find a weapon with greater DPS and give it to her.   IF she equips it, then all is well.  IF not, well, she's gonna do Hyper-Combat as much as you let her and IMHO doesn't really need a gun.

You can always trade/equip her with stuff regardless. ;)

There's a bug where after I dismissed her to do another companions quest. Ivy kept teleporting back to me and attacking enemies. No matter where I went. Didn't bother me much but may bother some players.

Weird.  Have never had that issue.  She stays right where I send her so far.

It's a known issue for some. You can disable this behavior by temporarily disabling her teleport in her controller holotape.

Love the base game content, hate the nuka world content

Wish I never played 6.0, 5.3 was perfect, Ivy was perfect, her story was perfect, should've just stopped right there.

Being very late to the party myself I have no experience with Ivy 5.3, but after doing all the base game content of Ivy 6.0 and then successfully achieving the 'good' ending at Nuka World I do see how that part of her story is necessary to help 'heal' Ivy's human side.  The first healing quest focused on the Robotic interface side of her psyche and Nuka World focuses on the Human schizophrenic side which is LOCKED away by Stein.  It makes sense in a lot of ways and answers questions concerning the 'Who,' 'What,' 'Where,' 'When,' 'How' and 'Why' of things but it IS very hard to just be a supportive character in a game where taking action is usually more rewarded than not.  The place where the PC gets to be the MOST actively influential is Stein's Construct and even then, you sorta need to go SLOWLY through the flow and don't be hasty.  IMHO, the good ending rewards are worth it.  You will definitely hear more coherent memory archives.  You basically get to have your cake and eat it to.  Feel me?

EDIT - "Do I talk too much?"  One of my favorite Ivy lines.  But I just had a thought concerning the propensity of mod 'users' to feel entitled to have the 'GIFT' of the content go THEIR way, and not how the giver intended.  IMHO, Reginald_01 has done MORE to accommodate user preferences than ANY other companion mod ever made.  And Ivy is tailor made to be even MORE content edited if the user has the skills and inclination to do so.  At the end of the day, 'Take it or leave it" applies in these types of situations.  I for one am very grateful for the one of a kind experience which Companion Ivy 6.0 provides and the content the mod adds to my game.  For me, I'm STILL Redeeming Ivy every time I load up the game.  It seems like the right thing to do.

what I find interesting with Ivy is when you are going through the last segment of Automatron (using RAM-FM to have an M-SAT equipped robot with you) is that you can't interact with the door sensors normally anymore. You have to command your robot to inspect the port, but then it's Ivy that goes over and scans the port to open the security doors.

I haven't checked to see whether an M-SAT equipped bot is actually necessary if you have Ivy with you, but.....

It's definitely an interesting scenario.

shit, thats pretty cool, i never run the automatron quest with Ivy before, good to know, there so much little detail like this  in Ivy, even after several playthrough you find stuff you didn't know about before
