Well the OP instructions recomend 1.61 ... lol. Though TBH It's possible that is too old. I dunno. If you can dig up things between 161 and 171 and try them. Whatever the last version was that didn't have the orgasm controlled animations is probably the most compatible version with Hardship... but that is 100% a guess.

I tried 1.61b an 1.71

No go. 1.61b wouldn't load no matter what I did.

1.71 loaded and after a lot of fuckery worked, just with a lot of mis-alignment. No mid-scene anim swap occurred there either.

If there are other versions of AAF out there, I can't find them, even with the WayBack Machine (archive.org)

 

However, with the addition of TSEX_perv 2.1 some changes were made, now additional actors could enter a Hardship scene.

 

As for changing animations mid-scene, AAF manages this through it's interface well, so it is possible.

 

When Hardship/TSEX Hardship did function in this way, did the environment include UAP, or Indarello's patch? Or One Patch to Bang em All?

Did staged animations exist at that time?

Currently, the Fucking Manual guides everyone to install an exact list of anim packs, followed by the UAP.

And Holylokki's EAP is commonly loaded after all that.

 

Was this the practice when Hardship's anim swap worked?

 

From everything I've seen, the mod(s) are trying to call specific animations, that may no longer exist with the ID they are called with.

That's my mostly uneducated guess, of course.

Most likely irrelevant since I am pretty sure for swapping anims I usally called a custom XML or Leito directly (Via SLP) as Leito was always considered the baseline animation pack that anybody could get Hardship working with.

Maybe? Like look at my custom XMLs and see what the animation stages they call are and if that doesn't match the current version of whatever animation pack's XMLs then this could be fixed with a simple XML edit... but again I think this is pretty unlikely.

I'm unsure if its a hardship bug (my first guess), a perverted bug, or of something else, but i'm having a big issue (and a smaller issue, but this is primarily about the big one).

big issue: Whenever I'm approached and sex happens (for whatever reason, whether consensual or not), after the scene i just become stuck in place upon loading back to where I was. No hud elements, can't move, can't bring up pipboy, can only move my camera and pause (thus i can save, load, mess with options, etc). Unless there's some command that can break me out of this that I'm unsure of, this seems to just make me softlocked. Any help?

small issue: Sex scene animations just don't seem to be working for me. I have AAF and all of it's requirements. The ass smack animation is even working, it's only after I follow my partner to their place and have a scene that animations don't work. I have the AAF_VanillaKinkyCreatureAnimations_themes installed as well as SavageCabbagesAnimationPack and Atomic Lust, but the animations just don't happen. Characters don't even strip. So I just kinda...stand there (and then become softlocked once the scene is done and I'm placed back where I was, as per the big issue above).

Edit: i also just remembered that i initially never installed bodytalk since the link wasn't working. I just found the link to bodytalk 4, though, and I now have that installed, and my above issues are still happening

I'm too out of the loop to have any real suggestions for either issue but the more serious issue sounds like you have a severe conflict of some sort. Those are usually solved by paring down your mods until it disappears and/or messing with load order.

 

As for animations not playing you almost certainly don't have AAF and it's requirements set up right. First see if you can start AAF scenes with the shortcut button, and if you can then try it with other mods that call animations... If both of those work then the issue must originate from Hardship... but again it's probably a mod conflict or a missing/incorrectly installed/ordered requirement.

Two updates:

I pared my mods down to just my loverlabs mods and their requirements (mostly hud stuff as well as perverted and all of it's requirements (including hardship)). The freezing is still happening after scenes BUT

I know AAF is working (at least now, didn't do this test with my full mod load), because I just let someone molest my character and i got animations for that. I also see "AAF 80%" any time i load the game. The sex scenes still don't work when (seemingly hardship) calls the animations. I still just stand still after following my partner to their room.

great mod, no bugs from this mod (only from the anims - my character can become immortal after Leito anims).

My concern is about the lack of "customers", the cities are too empty for this mod (not your fault😉), I killed 2 dudes who attempted to rape my character (1 at diamond city and 1 at goodneighbor) and these places were even less populated 😛

 2 things could have been great, as a prostitute hears a lot of things, he/she could become the new mayor of Diamond city after the fall of McDonough using this knowledge and coercion

McDonough should ask for money instead of sex for the protection(same thing for the guards) it would be more logical.

Yeah, it's really about the wandering lifestyle. I usually started most playthroughs with this mod: DLYH -- light alternate start -- Then use beggin' and a-whorin' to survive as I make my way to one of the major settlements.

 

 

Most playthroughs ended up with my character settling in DC or hotel rexford. as those have the most vaiable customers. (Protip: You can go to the DC entrance and service Danny or whatever his name is. He works unlike the other guards) I really wish that bunker Hill actually fit it's description and had travellers coming and going all the time, cause that would be pretty cool.  

 

If you don't fight back and continue to visit the rapist it can result in kind of a pimp-lite The bad boyfriend. 

 

Oh, another "fun-ish" place to work is the junk yard full of Gunners... though Note that Gunners have a higher base rape chance IIRC.

 

If I had it to do over I probably would have made it that you could have guards as customers, at least part of the time. I did a MUCH better job with the Skyrim guards in Notice me Senpai, where they would just shake you down part of the time like the normal rape chance. There might be video of that in one of these... I don't remember:

This means AAF isn't working. This is most likely due to an XML file conflict. Such issues are usually resolved through TFM technical support in discord, as without a list of installed mods, it's difficult to determine what exactly is interfering with AAF.

It's the message spam I can't remember them verbatim, but the stuff from SA, "dying for sex" and what not, It's as if it's unaware of the stuff going on in AAF via Hardship. I don't think it gets the memo sent by hardship.

I don't get that personally, so it could well be a priorities or load order issue.

 

Priority-wise, I have TSEX/TSEX Hardship before Sex Attributes.

Load order, I have Hardship loading after everything but Unique Player and MSMA_Sexfight.

 

Hopefully that helps.

 

BTW, I use Mod Organizer 2, no idea how to accomplish that in Vortex.

Used the beggarwhore mod and got this nasty bug, looks like the background that you have when text is on screen, meaning it doesnt reset to normal screen any clue if you can reset this darkscreen mode where you cant see anything to normal?

To be clear this happened after a customer not after having used looksmenu, since I know thats a known bug, but I actually think I used slm 14 at start because I had forgotten some final tweaks to charater, when I say beginning I mean at start where you in front of mirror and walk away, can that be the cause of it, when you many hours later have a customer?

If it is the cause then I misunderstood what you wrote in known issues because to me it looked like it would only happen directly after slm as a bug and not after having had a customer.

Used nopse0's Workaround. Open console, type "rimod <Your BW mod index>002B22", enter and that will clear it. In my case its "rimod 3C002B22", but yours will be unique to your setup. The mod index can be found in the plugins tab on the RHS of mod organizer.
