Cause guess what, We tried to do that and We got rejected! Literally the origin story of FG (beat that DC).. That and a lot of Posturing and dickheads saying dickheaded things like "No one on LL can make a body" and other rude things. So we made FG and proved them wrong. I think I said this before too...

Damn, you did the absolute most for the absolute least here and managed to get like a ton of details wrong... Congratulations! I didn't think my eyes could roll that much but you took the cake.

Tbh I don't even get why this thread even needed to exist, or the other one either or any "CBBE OR FUSION GURL?" thread that will pop up later on when both the threads on this disappear from page one of this forum space. We (I) really don't care to compete with CBBE, like at all. I listed all the advantages and stuff on the main mod page, as well as all the technical details needed for people to make an informed decision of their own, IDK what these disk horse threads solve at this point tbh. I also know a number of people who have helped, are helping or have a whole guide on how to make clothing conversions (A thing I recommend anyone learnin anyfuckinway) so like 80% of the people whingin about clothes are just "Well I'm super lazy and even though there's resources and helpful people, I expect everything to be already made so I don't have to lift a finger to do anything for myself"

and before anyone brings up vanilla clothing to me
1. There's (imperfect) ones available
2. Unless you're funding me getting a brand new computer (I require a minimum of VR ready and lots of fun custom lighting, thank u) then I'm on temp hiatus from FO4 modding cause I don't have a PC that runs it RN...

"...so like 80% of the people whingin about clothes are just "Well I'm super lazy and even though there's resources and helpful people, I expect everything to be already made so I don't have to lift a finger to do anything for myself"   Amen to that brother!  As a "maker" (I use other's meshes) of Skyrim LE UUNP outfits - perhaps you've seen a few on my mods here on LL - I know EXACTLY what you mean.  "Can you make a 3BBB version for me?"  Sure, let me get my wand!

Not to mention that BS makes it easy to convert any armor/clothing- It's nice when it is made for my body type of choice, but, no biggie if it isn't. It takes a little time for each and I can customize it all I want adding zaps and whatnot. They should try older games like Oblivion to get an idea of pre-BS days.

Has the adoption of Fusion Girl changed since the thread was started?

I see the ZAZ Skeleton and some of the updated AAF animation packs require Fusion Girl, but some of the key armors mods I use don't have FG conversions. And these are armor mods that are difficult to convert, either because they have a lot of separate armor meshes or because the armor mesh has components on them that require special techniques to avoid deforming (e.g. weapon magazines, square patterns, etc).

I was all for FG, until the 1.6 version....They completely broke every armor conversion prior to 1.6, so you basically have only vanilla armors now because of it. Every mod author has to go back and reconvert every single piece of clothing and armor.

Nope... Just anything with the body included in it needs to be redone. Clothing like Vtaw's work doesn't need to be redone unless you're adding new sliders or weights to it. Anything with no body included is fine. This was inevitable as we remapped and fixed a ton of errors the body had, as well as fixed the VATS targeting so that it at least works (Dismemberment will never work on main FG as FG is just over the polygon limit for it)

Also... There's a Fusion Girl 3B Test going on in the ZeX discord... linked on the FG mod page.  the 3B version is planned to replace the old FG, but won't break outfits that badly.

Not sure why so little attention has been paid to this issue, but I have a problem with seams on the neck with both cbbe and fg. I couldn't completely solve this with any textures. Depending on the setting of the mirrors, the seams come out either in bright light or in the shade. Perhaps not yet visible from afar, but up close they are terrible. I don't know how people solve this vanilla head problem because the seams go through the normals in children's straight lines, and there are fewer vertices there than on the boot shaft.

even vanilla body have visible seam. And this is rather hard to fix this for modded body because:

1)vanilla textures already mismatch a bit = no proper original to copy from

2)if you will try different neck types in looksmenu you will find that texture which is close to seam is changing from each type, this is extremly breaking for invisible seam, I dont know why bethesda decided to make it such way

3)the connection is made at a significant angle, which greatly degrades the quality, look how it was done with the hands - the angle is close to 180 and as a result the seam is better

I’m using both, CBBE and FG. I use CBBE for most Clothing and Armor and FG for naked body and DD. Downside was so far that I could have physics and collisions only for one of them until I realized that the main difference was in the ini-file. So I integrated the CBBE parameters into the FG-ini-files and it worked for both. There would be the problem of clipping, which I resolved by (mostly) not using CBBE-clothing alongside the FG-body. My files for collisions and physics are still work in progress and I fear will stay that way for ever. ☺️

ocbp.iniOCBPCollisionConfig.txt

I also use LooksMenu bodysliders for both CBBE and FG. Of course there is always only one of them in effect. Clothed the CBBE-sliders and naked the FG-sliders. It’s up to me to adjust the sliders of my PC and Companions in a way that don’t break the immersion. But using the randomized bodysliders of FG for NPCs sometimes leads to surprising results. My immersive explenation is that some of the CBBE-clothing must have built-in a mighty corsets... ?

After this I’m finally coming to my point of interest. ? Some mods I’m using have implemented body-morphing features, but I have to decide whether I use CBBE or FG. Why isn’t there an option to use both. As far as my understanding goes this morphing alters different non conflicting slider for FG and CBBE in looksmenu, so it should be possible to use both of them at the same time while only the effects of one of them are showing.

Recently I am / was using the following mods with body-morphing.

Wait, so you made a point release that breaks compatibility? Disgusting.

Of course, FG,

CBBE's body is more like Sims's cartoon style.

In today's mainstream TV and PC 3A game makers' choice of art style, the chance of realism and cartoon is 100 : 0

I like how JaneBod looks but doesn't seeme to be very well supported...
Is there even a present that makes Fusion Girl looks exactly like JaneBod? Is it even possible?

Look exactly like Janebod how?

Overly-developed bodybuilder muscles, or a thigh-gap you can drive a truck through?

If you are talking a body preset that gives you a realistic, moderately fit and nicely proportioned body, make one. I spent a couple hours in Bodyslide tweaking the Fusion - Athletic preset to get the look I wanted, then saved that as my own preset that I can use for future playthroughs without having to build it from scratch again. It just takes time.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the bodybuilder look, or massive thigh gap, or grossly huge breasts and butt.

Wow, you seemed a bit aggressive...?

Yes, I do prefer the individual muscle curves of the arms and legs of janebod. I personally am rather lean so I can tell how other lean people would look. And I do not think it is possible to add those curves with only the sliders without modifying the mesh.

Also, the breasts in Fusion GIrl look rather round like those fake ones. Janebod ones look a lot more natural based on my personal experience... No offense.

And about the thigh gap, umm maybe a bit wide but not unrealistic really. Any skinny girl will have that thigh gap. Look at attachment for real people comparison...

Sorry, wasn't my intention to seem aggressive, rather pointing out the seeming absurdity of making a preset for a body replacer so that it will replicate another body replacer, when there is so much variability with both of them. There would have to be tens of thousands of possible presets to account for all the individual slider positions and their interactions.

As far as breast shape, you can make them as natural or fake looking as you like with FG, depending on how you use all the sliders. I haven't used Janebod, so I don't know if it has the same gravity and top slope adjustability that FG has. Here is my character that I am currently running, and I don't think her breasts look like they are filled with silicone. On one of my first iterations of this body, the breasts definitely looked fake, as I didn't spend the time to adjust that out.

I don't try to make my characters super lean with very low BMI, as that just isn't interesting for me.

Personally, I find it very tricky to customize the boobs of an NPC, let alone its whole figure. I started to feel like an amateur plastic surgeon in training, constantly making small changes here and there, trying to get some satisfying results, but failing, constantly having the feeling that fixing one thing breaks another.

Yah, it does take a lot of time and can certainly be frustrating. I don't try to customize the NPC's in the game, except for the odd tattoo I put on my companions just to make them a little different from the preset they are using (I use Loving Cait/Piper/Curie mods for them) and instead focus on making my character look the way I want. Doing the makeup is the hardest thing to do, followed by any tattoos that aren't on the front of the character (no matter how I try, I cannot look at the backside of my character in Looksmenu under any circumstances). This makes selecting and placing any back tattoos a long and arduous process of 'apply, exit looksmenu, switch to freecam, back into looksmenu, repeat ad nauseum until desired look achieved.

3rd person, align on back, tgp, slm 14...... apply tats, tgp accept.

not familiar with tgp - does this lock the perspective so that as soon as you go into body in looksmenu it doesn't automatically flip the view to the front of the character?

I've tried opening looksmenu while facing the back of my character, but as soon as I come out of console to use it, then select body to get the overlays, the camera automatically goes to a front view.

Toggle Game Pause And do it in the order listed. You'll have to use the mouse to select menu items, it's a little weird, but will place tats fine. You have to tgp again in order to accept the changes. Play with, you'll figure it out. ;)

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Hopefully the mouse still works for me, as I use an XBox style wired controller on the PC (Played the game for 5 years on my XBone till I got a computer that could actually run it properly, so that's what I'm used to.)

I'll let you know how it works out for me.

Sorry for the late reply.

TGP didn't work for me - gamepad controls are not compatible with that method.

However, TFC did work for me. Toggled that, moved to the view that I wanted, then went into looksmenu (SLM 14) and was able to apply the tats I wanted on the back. Was nice to actually be able to see them before deciding whether I wanted them or not. Also worked to apply back tats to Ivy.

I actually prefer FG over CBBE.

It looks better, feels better :) and acts better.

I take the trade off with lesser clothing choices.

CBBE knee fix may or may not work. It looks like a immersion killer to me.

What i miss rather on both, is the physics of hanging tits if PC character is in the horizontal position. Tits seem to hang like if the character is in the vertical position. I use OCPB and MTM.

Anyway, otherwise i am quite happy with FG. It works for me with Unique Player as well.

Thanks for making this. CBBE is great and all, but its always nice to have a choices.

I have already built a female(1st time, been playing fallout since it first came out in....'93'...'95', what ever it was)hero in CBBE. I can rebuild her any time I want, but when I saw some of the Fusion Girl screenshots I just had to see if I could do it. I have been modding different games over the years(I'm 63)including Fallout 3 and New Vegas, both of which I have not only failed to mod miserably. Multiple crashes and reinstalls, I have all but abandoned these games on my Windows 7 computer. I have had alot better luck with Fallout 4. I have just uninstalled everything, downloaded all the sex mods in the online guide you have, except Fusion Girl. Windows 10 and my Norton's Security setup is blocking the Fusion Girl download.
