I feeled really sad for him and he's reunited with other 8 deceased cast members except Johnny Hardwick who played Dale died in 2023. My condolences goes out to his husband, King of the Hill Cast members and their families.

Update: the 59 year old suspect  Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez turned himself to the police this Monday past. At the time of this writing, he's posted $200,000 bond for bail that same night before he got placed on house arrest. His next trial hearing is on August 19.

For the King of the Hill Fans:

The new season streaming out August 4th on Hulu.

According to Wikipedia, Out of the 31 people that have been credited as a cast member for King of the Hill, 22 are still alive in good spirits by God's grace.

I have so many feelings at the moment. I am sad that Johnathan Ross died. That said I never knew the man so that is where my feelings of sorrow ends and rage begins.

I am pissed. Why should this Sigfredo guy get a bail in the first place? Sigfredo shot an innocent person for simple act of loving another man. Like what is Sigfredo going to do when released? Kill another person for handing him a tissue? I would be content to let him rot in jail till the end of his days. Problem is rich fuckers think it is okay to release criminals all willy nilly. Not only does there need to be consequences for murders like this there also needs to be some peace of mind for Johnathan's husband and other people who don't feel comfortable letting a murderer go free. I would say let him rot in jail and anyone who tries to pay his bond gets shot but nobody listens to me. Maybe the answer is lethal injection. I don't know. Right now my answer is a bottle of vodka.

Because the law and a judge say so. Without that, we have rule by mob. No one wants that because at some point the mob might be against them.

An innocent man had his house burned down and was killed. We are already past the point of mob rule. If you have a better idea I am open to suggestions.

Arrest, trial and if convicted then the punishment the law metes out.

So do nothing? That is your answer? Do nothing and wait for rich assholes to bail a murderer out of jail? Whatever. You do you man.

Nothing? He was arrested, right? What's your suggestion? Storm the jail he was being held at with torches and pitchforks? I for one am glad we don't live in a country where a person's guilt is determined simply by virtue of the fact that police arrested them.

RIP to my job, which I am probably going to lose in two days.

It's been a good four years. This is the longest I've ever held a job; average was a year before this, except for a 3-year job I held in high school almost 25 years ago, and that stretch includes two separate 1-year jobless stints (and 3 years on workers' comp).

I've been putting in applications pretty regularly for about two years but haven't gotten a single bite. My resume` is sub-par owing to a 3-year stretch from 2016-2019 where I was on workers' comp.

It's been good. I got to enjoy working from home for a few years, having an easy stretch compared to the preceding 20 that was brutally hard. Actually had health insurance for the first time ever. Paid taxes. Bought my first car with my own money.

When I lose my job, all of that will end.

I always told myself I wasn't going to make it to retirement. I guess this last 4 years was my farewell. I had to work, but it was easy. Very easy. It's a shame it's coming to an end. I have so much I'm going to leave unfinished.

In case you did not know, from the late 1990s for Season 2 on King of the Hill, Joss replaced the original actor Victor Aaron who died in car accident back on September 4, 1996 at 39 years old one week before his 40th birthday, when his car was struck at an intersection by a truck that ran a red light.

Victor Aaron did the first 2 episodes of the first season on King of the Hill and The King of the Hill episode "The Order of the Straight Arrow" was dedicated to his memory posthumously.

YouTuber Mikayla Raines aka Saveafox has committed suicide at 29 years old. She was diagnosed with autism. Her husband announced her death on social media platforms and he blamed the clueless trolls cyberbullying her on social media platforms.

Way too young.

A wildfire has destroyed the historic Grand Canyon Lodge, the only lodging on the Grand Canyon's North Rim, as part of the Dragon Bravo Fire, which has burned over 5,000 acres and destroyed at least 50 structures.

I went there in the early 80's, so freaking cool, did a full moon guided tour down a trail, surreal, sad now that it is gone!

The south rim is one mile across from the north rim but the drive to or from the North to the South rims was 176 miles each way, very remote.

I saw the story but couldn't work out what was historic about the lodge. Did something significant once happen there?

Thanks but I'm none the wiser. The place is less than one hundred years old and nothing seems to have happened there apart from the original burning down. I suppose it has history of burning down. 😀

Well there has been a lot of history there over the years, now whether it meets your definition of history is another thing, I was there and that is history, at least my history.

Do a type search on the history of the Lodges at the Grand Canyon... or not...
