akadeadpool Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Update on situation with Alternate Conversation Camera, Improved Camera and Smoothcam: I don't know what happened but I passed the main menu with all 3 installed now. What I did to my modlist is this (not event sure how they solve the problem, it just works): - remove old skse plugin like Follower Trap Safety . I already use NFF so the mod is redundant. - remove 1 or 2 skse plugin that I don't see any use. - I move PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions to top section of the modlist (i.e among the lowest priority) and hide all files that override PapyrusUtil SE (most of files are from Sexlab Framework). Now I need to check if SL still work and if my game is starting to crash lke crazy mf.
trgdolors Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 (edited) The fixes for MBO seem to work! You just can't have TDM without the procedural leaning! And changing the value in that one text file fixed the impressively bad grip problem. Thanks to Maltodaxtrin for pointing out the issue, akadeadpool for finding the solution, Thardrim for sharing how to keep using the mod in non-broken form, and Temphyx for pointing out specifically which file to change. And everyone for testing, and helping the new-(and not new)-bies! Hopefully you are OK, Aylis! We miss you! Some big stuff happening! TDM and other interesting new mods, Arthmoor taking his mods off Nexus today (except Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch)... Its exciting times... Edit: Heck, we have mods now for jumping off cliffs and paragliders; there's even a guy on Reddit looking for a mod so he can get publicly executed... Edited August 6, 2021 by trgdolors 1
wollboi Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 @Aylis I updated my Morrowloot Helper spreadsheet. I kept wondering why Haldyn in the Rise in the East quest was handing me my ass when the rest of his dungeon was what MLU would lead me to believe. Turns out his level is drastically increased by the Non-Playable Factions mod. I bumped Rockjoint Island's level from 12 to 20 (Haldyn's minimum level). Hopefully this may keep new players using the spreadsheet from getting steamrolled. I went through the other NPCs altered by that mod and none of them warrant changing level orientation, just Haldyn. (Hajvarr Iron-Hand gets a minimum level of 8, which is less than his dungeon; Vigilant Tyranus outside of the abandoned house in Markarth is a 15, but it's just him so I don't think it warrants mentioning in the spreadsheet). I also added a few notes for some of the areas to more easily identify what quest/faction they belong to. Helps if, for instance, a player wanted to skip Thieves Guild quests. Still a work in progress because I haven't gotten past like level 20 in this game in two years before starting a new character. Morrowloot Helper.xls 2
akadeadpool Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 (edited) @wollboi you can use skill uncapper mod to increase your xp rate so you can speed up your PC's power. It helps with exploration with MLU. Edit: I found major interior light problem in some houses. Turns out the cause is the current load order for Window shadow and Luminosity. Those 2 mod order should be reversed. From Window Shadow mod page Quote (You can still pair this mod with Luminosity or ELE, just place it after this mod in load order) Edited August 6, 2021 by akadeadpool 1
trgdolors Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 If I am reading it right, the new update to Embers XD has finally officially changed the name of the ESP from EmberHD.esp to "Embers XD.esp". This would effect installing, updating, and patches. The guide's version was 2.2.1. It is still available on Nexus. But patches will start changing. I am going to not update that mod until it gets sorted out. However; if you are starting a new build, it would be good to build it for the future. Obviously, with the several recent changes in the modding community, this guide will have to get updated eventually, Until then, if anyone is not sure about something it is probably best to post here and we can maybe figure out how to go forward together.
wollboi Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 (edited) @trgdolors You beat me to it. @Aylis The new update has also moved around the plugins. Now there's (hopefully) one patch for JK's, TML, and LoS. I'm going to bite the bullet and install and see if it messes anything up. Unrelated - Has anyone tried Growl out? I'm thinking about giving it a try over Moonlight Tales for my next character. The perks and quality tweaks look about the same, but it's much more modern and less script heavy. From what I see the only thing it lacks is an ability to configure involuntarily transformations (or at least configure them as much). Edited August 6, 2021 by wollboi 2

DO i have to install LODs and Billboards in FOMODs or in Filesection of a Mod if they are not mentioned in the Guide? Hello again, sorry LOD is correct. In this instance it is specifically referencing the far distant objects you see in game (i.e. way past what your bow will shoot) Easiest to relate is when you are between riverwood and whiterun, right where you kill the single wolf (stock game) in the bend. Looking through the trees you will see the billboard (static object LOD) for whiterun. if you get the high res whiterun looks clearer, crisper, (and if i remember right you can still see individual stones on the wall with modded billboards. stock it looks like a cardboard cutout of whiterun. They are used when DynDoLOD is run to stich all of the billboards together so the mods you add like whiterun trees , the changes (adds lots of trees near whiterun) is shown as distant as well, not a grassland and a tree pops up as soon as it gets within cloak distance. So yes, put the LODs and billboards in, i think aylis has a few long distant screenshots in the screenshots post 1

Hi @Alarich79, thanks for coming back on this. The answer to your question is, unfortunately, no and yes. In general, when the instructions don't specify a download, probably not. But, because almost everything is in flux at the current time, - maybe, yes. Personally, for a new build, I would likely go with anything related to Dyndolod 3. Just my opinion. other LOD offerings, not mentioned in the instructions, should probably be avoided. Some of these may be hard choices, but you can later redo xLodgen, texgen and dyndolod even if it is a huge pain in the ass. Quote First things first, i didn´1 install all the mods for now, but all [the] list in [up to?]... Again, this is a difficult time for a large build like this because of the many mods that are disappearing and/or moving. Your best bet though, is to complete the installation using all the mods you choose (and can find available). Make particular note of any non-optional mods you can't get. But the main things here are to: 1) complete the install in the correct order. 2) enable the mods in that same order. 3) make sure that all addon and patch .esps appear AFTER the last mod they affect in the right pane plugin /load order list. Quote If i start the game, everything expect of the point of focus (middle screen) is horrible blurry. Everythingis a little bit sharper if i am moving around. There are several possible causes for this depth of field (DoF) issue. In this build, in particular, look first at Dripping When Aroused - open it's MCM listing> Settings and scroll down to Heavy and Light Visuals effects. raise them much higher than the default and see if the problem goes away. Another source may just be the enb. DoF can be adjusted in-game by hitting Shift+Enter and looking at the right side of the control menu. It can also be disabled entirely by editing the file enbseries.ini and making these changes [EFFECT] EnableDepthOfField=true set it to: EnableDepthOfField=false This file is found in the main Skyrim SE game folder. Personally, I hate DoF and this is what i choose to do. Hope some of this helps. -Best 1

wollboi Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Meant to post this earlier, but got caught up in actually playing the game. A very weird experience, right? Bad news is - Nothing that I can tell. Good news is - Yeah, it works. First I tried just the one JK's/TML/CW patch. The list as it is now has several different patches, but I wanted to see if one would do it. Nope, crashed in Windhelm (after running Resaver and NetImmerse, of course). Second time I installed everything and it seems to work fine. Went to all the problem spots I usually have in Windhelm--or did before switching to the newer High-Poly NPC patch, which has really fixed that area for me. Ran around for a while with no issues. Played the game for a long-ass time without a single crash. (Please for the love of Talos get rid of all the wench mods. That fixed almost every crash I had.) Went into every indoor town except Markart I think. Checking that next. Also, holy shit I think the framerate is a lot better in town. TL;DR - Works for me. wollboi Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) @maltodaxtrin Not sure what you mean by bolded, but it's confusing because the FOMOD is confusing. When you install it, you'll see what I mean. Originally I thought the same thing, that you'd only need one patch, but that seemed to hose it. Spoiler I just installed all of the patches listed above in the last post and it seems to work fine. Other testing - Markarth also fine. Fast traveling from Windhelm to anywhere is fine, which is always something that crashed sometimes for me. Still not a single crash thus far, and I'm now completely convinced the framerate has improved, especially Riften. Would love for somebody else to test it out, because I'm honestly having a hard time believing it's working this well on an existing save. Mindflux knocked it out of the park on this update. @jaeos What did you not like about Growl? Just curious. Still haven't touched it myself. @Aylis Damn. Hope it gets better. I'd personally stay away from chiropractors. Just seems like it could aggravate the issue to put strain on it. The only thing we need to do is download the right patch for it for Capital Windhelm Expansion, the one for version 2.2.3 or newer. (Although it is probably not necessary anymore because a patch for it is already included in Embers XD 2.2.4.) In any case, I think JK's Skyrim and Dawn of Skyrim - Riften Patch needs a patch for Embers. This has been bothering me since day one. This is Riften, just before the entrance of the Temple of Mara. The Riften Patch takes out the pedestals, and Embers adds back the flames. Nothing game breaking... but it has bothered me so much, that I have made a very simple patch for it that solves the issue. Both the meshes and textures for the bow get overwritten by ENB Light. Why? I don't know, it happened to me after I updated to a new version (maybe I messed up the installation with so many options in its FOMOD). In any case, I made a patch for the textures and meshes. I post it here in case anyone has the same problem: Auriel Weaponry - Meshes and Textures Patch.rar Just place it at the end of the Patches Section in your LO. Anyways, I hope it helps. wollboi Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) @Thardrim Yep! Those braziers bug the shit out of me too. I pretend it's the levitating fiery love of Mara's embrace. I just don't know about Dawn, and the problems are going to get worse the longer we stick with the old version. Also, very happy you tried out the update and it's working good. Do you feel like the framerate has increased in Riften/Whiterun, or am I just crazy. Rant time - Unplayable Faction Armor is getting on my nerves. Yes, the armor is fantastic, but why would the author change NPCs in any other way. Pretty sure this is why some of the blackface bugs (White River Watch) are still happening. And it throws off MLU big time. I've already pointed out Rockjoint Island, but Dustman's Cairn is worse. It adds several enemies right before the dragon wall. You get swarmed by as many as five Silver Hand bastards and three draugr at the same time, and Farkas is utterly useless. The SH enemies are supposed to be the same level as the player, but they're armor is so good it makes it way harder than it needs to be, and you have to deal with two kamikaze two-handed dick-kickers. I've seen at least one person complain about it on the mod page, and the author just points out you can change it in SSE, but I don't really feel like that's something the user should have to do. If they wanted to include an optional patch to add enemies, fine. I died about ten times before I finally had to drop the difficulty down. Just stick to the armor. Literally every problem I have with my MLU level "guide" is because of that mod. (But, yeah, that armor looks dope though.) Edited August 7, 2021 by wollboi 1
