haha nothing special Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) Can someone explain why laura extends the "Locked Away" quest for so fucking long? I took the quest on the 2 in-game day and she still doesn't let me out of this shit. The settings were set to min 1 day to max 7 days. It's 9th FUCKING DAY. Can someone please provide me a quest id so I could skip the prolonged bullshit? PS: Not long after I posted this, she tells me what I have worn this belt long enough. The cage doors automatically opens andwhat the hell am I supposed to do? Edited May 30, 2023 by haha nothing special
Miauzi Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Vor 13 Minuten, haha, nichts Besonderes gesagt: Kann jemand erklären, warum Laura die Quest „Locked Away“ so verdammt lange verlängert? Ich habe die Quest am zweiten Spieltag angenommen und sie lässt mich immer noch nicht aus dieser Scheiße raus. Die Einstellungen wurden auf mindestens 1 Tag bis maximal 7 Tage festgelegt. Es ist der 9. VERDAMMTE TAG. Kann mir bitte jemand eine Quest-ID geben, damit ich den langwierigen Blödsinn überspringen kann? So I won't do it and if I were you I would consider whether this type of mod fits your way of playing and thinking at all. ?

So you have your min/max set to 1/7, and that means you waited 7 days before asking, right? 2

Now I'm in a part where she is supposed to take the belt off, but she just stands between the counter and the gate door. What am I supposed to do?

Now I'm in a part where she is supposed to take the belt off, but she just stands between the counter and the gate door. What am I supposed to do? She tells you to enter the cell, the subtitle didn't show? Anyway, you enter the cell, she leaves you in there for a while (she goes off to find the key, short scene), she then asks you about the experience, about her payment to you, and then finally asks if you want to be released (you can ask to restart the quest basically). You say yes, she removes it, but then leaves you in the cell for a minute or two - in case you want to, uh, "get it out of your system". Then you are free to go. As for the length of the belting, I cannot confirm this, but there may be a discrepancy between the quest timer and the ingame timer. If you are absolutely sure you have waited long enough, try waiting an extra day or two (Waiting 24 hours), and make sure that when you ask and she says no, that she did not add more time (a window pop ups, so it's hard to miss). I personally advise quicksaving before asking, so that you can quickly go back and just wait 24 hours. Alternatively, instead of the Wait function, try to Fast Travel between far off places (I personally go from Castle Volkihar to Riften, it's more than 24 hours IIRC). Note that doing either of these will likely trigger plug events, if you have any of the vibrating ones. It can get annoying spamming the events, I know. ? Finally, I get that sometimes we want to rush the quest's ending because we are tired of it, or because it gets in the way of something, but there is no need to come in here and rage-swear. This is a quest that has been in the mod for years, not some recent, broken thing, and any issues can be calmly worked out. Edited May 31, 2023 by Viri1 3

As for the removing process, when I enter the cage, she only stands there and does nothing, besides staring. When I tried to interact with her, only the "This person is busy" notification popped up. Am I doing something wrong?

Am I doing something wrong? sounds like she is stuck trying to get to you (not 100% sure), and if that is the case something you can try is to use console to knock her down. i would make some kind of save first, then open console and click on her (need her refid) open console pushactoraway (her refid) 1 close console what should happen is that when you close the console she should fall down, then get back up and try to get to you again (if she was stuck). i have used this (knocking them down through console) on stuck NPCs and it usually works if its just they can't find the path to where supposed to be. best of luck
Taki17 Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 1 hour ago, Viri1 said: I cannot confirm this, but there may be a discrepancy between the quest timer and the ingame timer. I can confirm that. It's not the timer per se, but the scripting logic in the conditional statement of the function responsible for the release check. Function CalcRelease() CurrentDay = Utility.GetCurrentGameTime() Int CurrentDayInt = CurrentDay as Int DaysPassed = CurrentDay-DayStarted Int DaysPassedInt = DaysPassed as Int If DaysNeeded < DaysPassed Laura_LA_RandomDiaGlob.setvalueint(4) ;release Else Int Random = Utility.RandomInt(1,3) If Random == 1 Laura_LA_RandomDiaGlob.setvalueint(1) ;No release ElseIf Random == 2 Laura_LA_RandomDiaGlob.setvalueint(2) ;No release ElseIf Random == 3 Laura_LA_RandomDiaGlob.setvalueint(3) ;Longer wear EndIf EndIf EndFunction As per the above, release only happens if the value of DaysNeeded is higher than of the DaysPassed. Which means in case the player tries to request an unlock after the exact number of days set in the config menu, the code will run onto the Else branch and will return either a no release or a longer wear. Which makes it so that asking it a real-life minute too early can be the deciding edge between having to try again in the next round of conversation, or in-game days later. A "greater than or equal to" check instead of the current "greater than" would improve its logic. And while we are at the topic of code review, casting CurrentDay and DaysPassed into integers is superflous, since they are not used anywhere in the function. However substituting these integer values in place of the floats they are cast from (which I suspect was the original intention of having them here in the first place), would allow for a more forgiving release time calculation too. And using conditional variables instead of globals for the dialogue conditions would be a cleaner approach, since this value does not need to be shared between quests or scripts anyway, so no need for them to be always present in the game data. 6

haha nothing special Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 After digging through SSEEdit to look up for the "Locked Away" QuestID, the game doesn't even register this as a quest. showquesttarget didn't show an ID of the quest. I hope this will help in the future fixes.
Nothing really needs to be corrected. This scene has a high script load and if you have other mods in parallel - which increase it further ... the whole "mechanics" can hang up then that's all useless - the only thing that helps is an earlier save... and the system usually "strikes" itself but if it's already "stuttering"... what will happen with the first real quest about "Jade" - where you have to spend a whole night in this cell ?
slicksly Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I couldnt find this reported from some quick googling. The sale price for furniture keys does not obey changes to the setting in the MCM for me. The rest seem to work as they should.

If the pathing fails she should warp to the correct spot after a while so pathing isn't the issue I think. If I remember right, this could be caused by a bad Fuz Ro D-oh install. Maybe it's too old or the loadorder is wrong. Make sure yours is okay. Let me know how it goes. Edited June 3, 2023 by Laura

I'm unfortunately still stuck on this. Any ideas what I might try? I saw someone mentioning they saw the body fly away through ragdolling, maybe that's what happened for me?

I managed to solve it thanks to your help. I found the RefId of Silisus and teleported me to him first, and I ended up at the quest marker, but the body was not visible nor was it interactible, not sure what had happened. Moving him to me yielded the same result. In the end I managed to solve it by spawning a new copy of him, and pick pocketing the note from the now alive NPC.
LieutenantPaladine Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Hey there! I just completed my first full playthrough of the mod and I am very pleased. That was a wonderful conclusion to the story. I have some questions going forwards. Will there be any integration of bondage furniture to the mod? If so, could the player help seek out and acquire the furniture? I think it would be neat if the shop sent you out to grab furniture. Feel free to use or discard my idea as you see fit. Cheers, LP
Caladian Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 I've noticed player pathing also being fubarred. I would have to almost cheat myself to position, will only teleport you to correct spot if you are already within like 1-2m. Outside of that, you actually tend to path away from the objective. Question on the otherhand though. Storywise, is the 'alternate experience' the furthest in the storyline? Right now I can't complete the quest by going back to the shop.
