Sloane is not that bad, i mean there is still Nazeem, the true evil of skyrim XD.

I find kill Sloane would just to lame, player as her perfect girl would be kinky :P.

But will be interesting how the story will continu and what laura have in her mind.

You're right about it being lame. That's the main reason I don't want to let the player just kill them all. She has her allies and stuff, but those are just made up so people would stop asking. :P

Hours of story content that ends in running in and just killing them all is really boring.

Also, at no time does Laura or Kat refer to the player as dragonborn, or even show any hint that they know who she is.  Which I really, really like, cause the whole "chosen one" schtick gets soooo old.

Bugs in v3.32 SSE:

Mission will not proceed when unlocking chansity belt from Locked Away. It seems that the jail door will block Laura's movement. After disabling the jail door and get into the jail, the mission will also jam -- the player will stop inside the jail and cannot move or open inventory and Laura will not do anything. This will also happen when Jade makes player smell the potion.

I'm using the Anniversary Edition, could that be a reason?

SKSE Preliminary AE build 2.1.3 - runtime 1.6.323

It's not entirely unfeasable, however last I heard DD wasn't updated to be working with AE, as its dependencies weren't either.

At any rate, it's still boggles the mind why scenes would frequently stuck on SSE. Even more curious when the issue couldn't be reliably reproduced by Laura even when she tried it. So if anyone with more SSE knowledge has input on the matter, I guess this is a good place to chime in.

100% agree. It's cool in the main storyline, but turning out to be the chosen one or the boss in pretty much every faction questline is boring. That why this story isn't about the player.

Although, honestly, a little too much not about the player at times (sorry).  It's an interactive video game, which means the player should be central to, but not necessarily the center, of the narrative.  There should be a reason the player is involved.  There are a couple of places in the LBS quests where a minor rewrite would help with this.

You initially go to Solitude after Jade because, well, you are getting paid.  Then suddenly you are playing slave for Kat... for reasons?  Maybe I missed it, but there should be something in there like "pretty please, Laura can't do it, she'd be recognized."  It doesn't change the quest in any way, just makes the player more key, and helps to establish motivation for the rest of the series, i.e., Laura and Kat consider you a friend and include you in their plans.

A few dialog revisions could improve things a bit.  For example, when they think you are Jade and lock you in the cell, showing a little more concern for the "missing" player while they are talking; right now they are very self-absorbed.  I understand why, but it doesn't help to endear them to the player.  When the player's motivation is friendship instead of "chosen one" you need to show that Laura and Kat think of her as a friend.  The player still isn't the center of the story, but is important because friends are important.

You're right. I didn't really add lines like that because I was worried it would get annoying if they constantly went 'please' and 'thank you'. But I'll take a look at it again at some point. Thanks for the feedback. :)

Especially if we end up discovering that Kat and Laura become the masterminds / ring leaders of a clandestine group of resistance fighters who inadvertently find out WHO Sloan's husband was working with in Skyrim. Bad things would be possible to Laura and Kat If it becomes known that the White Gold Concordant was secretly funded by the organization mining near the Thalmor Embassy, and that the efforts of slavers instigating a large scale institution of slavery and forced servitude that benefits the Thalmor and their Nord collaborators.

I'd relish the opportunity to see Laura and Kat become the leaders of a group that works towards freeing those who end up in collars and chains against their will, whether it is a simple as tie ins to "Slaves of Tamriel" getting a proper conclusion, or a more in depth inclusion of Laura's Bondage Shop in competition/cooperation with Elvira's Restrictive Fashion, or possibly even an extensive inclusion and dynamic relationship with the efforts to remake/reintroduce the old Slaverun quest into a larger Slaverim.

Hello,

Dunno if i may help but i was stuck with the (in?)famous "guard scene" on Origin, using... *drumroll*... SSE !
I tried alot of things, disable/enable, wait waaaay too long, and the guard was happily grinning at me while doing nothing... (should this be part of the mod? how deviously frustrating!)

Anyway, i managed to unstuck that guard by disabling (from MCM) : FrostFall, DCL and Wildcats (<- a nice combat mode) and almost everything went smooth (except the couple *no spoil* reuniting for the first time in front of your cell in the bedroom, and further a misalignement while lying on the bed)

Btw i noticed the guard was doing back and forth movements, i don't know exactly how this should happend but :
Should he go away after locking the PC into the cell BEFORE sleeping? He did it like 1/10 times, most of the time he just stand still :
When he stand still, if i wait (with the wait command ofc), he's looking at the cell when the wait is over, and turn around again (maybe it can help)

If he should go away, then as i say 9/10 of the time he don't, and it brokes here
The only time he forcegreet me is when he come back after the sleep

(btw i hope it's understandable <_<)

Now while returning to Laura's shop, both Laura and Kat are busy, i can't talk to them, disable/enable do nothing, hitting laura wakes her up (she's sleeping ._. ) but i don't think it's the right way to ask someone for the quest :D

Anyway, the best for the end, thanks you again the for mod, the plot hooked me and i get the feel the story goes way beyond the simple "tie-me-up-please", it's more about slavery and
commitment, the tight gap between consensual slavery and slavery as is, and Laura is too cute !

And I thank you for taking it as feedback and not criticism, as far too many mod authors do.  :)

And it doesn't need to be constant, just inserted in two or three places so that the player is made to feel like part of the team, rather than an errand girl.  Errand girls do deliveries, friends let you chain them up to trick slavers.  Good friends let you keep them chained up 'cause Laura likes you calling her "master".  :D   Wish you could do that more often to tease her lol

If the guard or Darius sticks you can usually restart them by using the console to disable and then enable them again.  If you can't target them use tfc (toggle free cam) to let you move your view freely through bars and walls until you get a clear shot at them.

For me it was Darius.  I was locked in the bedroom cage, he was in the basement (I dunno why he spawned there).  I used tfc, scanned through the house until I saw the stuck npc, disable, enable, he pathed correctly.

Design Note:  The delivery set does not prevent you from putting clothes on over it.  Since the idea is, I think, to make deliveries wearing ONLY the delivery set, for advertising purposes, this probably should be adjusted.

How do I complete the parts of a familiar face quest where I have to escape embershard mine?

I get into the room with the chest, then Jade leaves and locks the door.

I can't get out of the room.

That's called a riddle. Use your brain and follow the hints.

You cannot hide the collar, regardless of what you're wearing. Being allowed to wear clothes makes this mod more compatible with others, i.e. Frostfall. If you want to stay naked (as I do), roleplay it. Yes, I know that roleplaying in Skyrim is a weird concept. *sigh*

Spoiler

Unless I'm mistaken, I think that it's normal for DDs of this nature to allow other clothes/armor, but the first time you try them, Laura does ask you to undress before she puts them on?

I did figure it out shortly after I posted this.  I tried to delete it.

I like the new quests.

One thing I did notice that is if you cleared out Embershard Mine before the quest A Familiar Face, then it would do a CTD when you entered the mine.

If you don't clear out the mine, the quest worked fine.

That might just be an issue your end. I cleared the Mine out almost immediately for the Wenches quest, and I had no issues with CTDs when I revisited for Laura's quest.

I assume (as @SilentAntagonist121 said) that it's a problem on your end, because as a general problem this would have popped up long ago.

Wenches does alter the innards of the mine, so maybe there's something else in your LO that touches Embershard Mine? Or just Skyrim being Skyrim and crashing for no apparent reason...

Thanks for the comment. You fixing it by disabling stuff is another step towards understanding what the hell is going on. :)

I'm way too insecure to assume that I know something better than others. I always start questioning myself everyone I get feedback/criticism. ?

I haven't played the story in a while so I don't really remember, but I'll take a look at the start of BI.

I don't want to force player to be naked. That's awful. It's done in some quests, but those quests are meant to be awful.

And like CaptainJ03, you can't hide the collar.

Umm, actually....

I just found this problem.  LBS depends on DD, which depends on SkyUI.  SkyUI implements Favorites groups for quickly changing equipment with hotkeys.

Here's the issue:  SkyUI can be configured to unequip everything  before equipping a group.  Because it is higher on the dependency chain than DD, it does not respect DD locks.  This means that, if you check a particular box, you can create Favorites groups that will strip off bondage devices.  They may still show as equipped in your inventory, but they aren't.  They vanish from the character model, you can unequip them in the inventory pane without issue, and they won't reattach, so quests break.

This is a problem with Devious Devices, not LBS, of course.

Spoiler

Laura and Katarina getting bound and held hostage in their own shop

And thinking, "Girl, if you'd just let me be her slave when I offered you wouldn't be in this mess."

I'm on SSE and I can't even get Embershard Mine quest to start, Laura tells me about it, but no quest fires, anyone have a list of quest ID for the MQ so when it locks up like in the slaver cage camp etc I can fast forward please?

I have tried Setstage Laura_SQ08_Quest 1 thru 1000 and nothing happens,

It's a known problem.  In my games, I avoid enabling that option to remove equipped armor.  Or if I simply must have it, I assign it to a higher-number hot key (one that I don't normally use) so that I don't press it out of habit, using it only when no devices are equipped.

I only found it because I wanted an empty group to use for getting naked to more easily try on clothes, and I hit that one by mistake.  It's the only group I have the "strip first" option enabled for.
