Specs, stories, and my yes- pictures of ya road hoggin', pig stompin', loud ass rumblin' boss mobile is what we's lookin' for! You worked on it with blood, sweat and tears- or at least you did to pay for it. So show it off! '69 RoadRunner that I found parked in an abandoned lot (lost my pics lol). Never wrecked and her previous owner had already put a Holly four-barrel in it with racing headers and chromed parts. I had to replace the radiator and starter plus a few other things. Interior was still in decent shape. Didn't really look like I wanted so I used and abused it for awhile and then sold it.

Reginald_001 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Been stuck with Skoda since I drove one. They're just so stable, so sporty and so robust and reliable. Nothing beats it in the densely populate area where I live. This is not mine, but mine looks the same, all black, no white roof.

Plenty of pep to get going fast and great on fuel. My only complaint about compacts is that they don't handle high speeds very well- especially in wet conditions due to their light weight. I hydroplaned a peppy little Honda Civic right into a wall on one slightly rainy day(wasn't even going that fast) and swore I would drive nothing but the heavier roadsters from then on. I drive a Buick Regal gs now. Mine is older a has a few scrapes and dents than this new one-

After about 2 years of restoration, I got it back on the road, passed the TUV, and one of the first things I did was take it to a German Car show. I had to laugh, as I was late getting to the show, and the show crowd could here me (the car) coming with its big ol' V8 350 PS and side pipes that just... barely... passed the "too loud" inspection (they actually get a decibel reader and walk around the car). As an American, I follow the US model of car showing. Park Car and then put up the hood to show off the engine/engine bay. Germans don't do this... which is interesting because they ABSOLUTELY LOVE ENGINES. The picture below is literally 5 seconds after I parked the car and opened the hood... in another 10 seconds, there were probably 50 people around the car and I couldn't see (the car) anymore,,,,, The car was originally bought (in 1967) at a Chevrolet Dealership outside of Cape Canaveral, Florida. So I always imagined an Astronaut as a previous owner! For this show, I had a 1967 Sunny Florida Tourist Road Map... Kennedy half Dollars (dated 1967) in the ash tray, and a February 67 (month the car was built) Playboy in the passenger seat! Needless to say, the car was quite the hit, and more popular with the crowd than a lot of the domestic European Sports Cars that were there (no doubt, this was due to the rarity... I have lived in Europe for 22 years, and only seen a handful of C2 Vettes).

But, American vehicles are definitely more stylish and offer a greater variety- especially going back to classic models like your beautiful Corvette.

Still hella fun to rip the front tires off the ground launching from a stop. Spoiler '68 Cougar - 510hp 351W small block highly modified engine, Muncie Rockcrusher trans bolted to a 9" modified posi rear. I don't have any pictures of my daily driver but this one looks just like it except I have the 20" rims, eurostyle de-chromed trim package, and a black interior, but it's a 06 BMW 760Li that I got dirt cheap because the previous owner couldn't afford it financially. Being Build 2009 and already driven 100.000 km / 62.000 miles but still in very good condition. Powerd by a turbocharged (and now slightly tuned) V6 engine. Now delivering about 305 HP / 227 kW and 450 Nm / 350 ft-lb by around 9,5l / 100 km or 24 mpg Maaan, I´m so happy and proud! :-)

AKM Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 1972 Chevy LUV. Fire engine red, and mostly rust. Idiot frame was a full box, which meant that water got up in it and sat, and rusted. Miss the utility. Don't miss having to stop for fuel every other run into town. Damn thing had a 10 gallon tank, with a 20 gallon appetite. And the points. Don't get me started on the points. And yes, my first vehicle. Spoiler
