JonX67 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 Hey there, I am playing with FO4 NG since a few days now (new computer, Win11 ...) and am slowly building up my load-order again. For now, everything is working surprisingly well. "Violate" (Version 1.6.1), does work as well, in principle However, it seems as if some of the MCM settings aren't doing anything. Like the hotkey for "Surrender". If I use it during a fight, my character does not surrender. Auto-Surrender at the set level does work. Also, other settings in the MCM don't show any effect. I deselected "Female", for instance, but am still getting F/F animations. I also selected 100% chance of Devious Device, but non is applied after the Violation ("Devious Device RC9" and latest "Real Handcuffs" are installed and working) I am using MO2 now, because nothing else is working on my new machine (and I am a total noob with it, after using Vortex for half a decade almost) I sorted mods with LOOT. So, question: Can it be a load order issue, and could anyone give a hint (or two ) how to fix it?

The only change I made was installing and activating "High Heel Sound" which is a requirement for "Devious Devices". In Vortex, I could just deactivate that plug-in and the requirement vanished from the list. No idea if that would be possible in MO2 too. Still a surprise how that is affecting the whole functionality of "Violate"! Guess I'll never understand modding, really
sexysimmer1995 Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 says im missing llfp.dll f4se is installed and working correctly

AAF comes with LLFP but NAF doesn't so you have to install it yourself (it's just like any other F4SE mod):
Renegade9025 Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 I hope I'm asking in the right area. I have the latest AAF from discord, animations packs and other requirements for violate mod. It pops up in the mcm and personalized the settings. In game, no enemies ever surrender when health below what I have set. Is it because I play a male character? Any help would be appreciated.

The most common is that you are killing the enemies too quickly, so they die before they get a chance to surrender. What is actually happening with these enemies? Do they keep fighting even though their health is below the threshold? Do they just die?

I make sure to use a weak weapon as well so not killing in just a few shots. I used "The Fucking Manual" and even successfully downgraded FO4 so isn't next-gen issues with "older" mods. I'm also new to modding on PC, but now officially have nothing else I can think to fix and make mods from this site work in game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, did more mods tweaking and now get NPCs surrendering, dialogue for violate, but then nothing happens. Guessing an issue with AAF?

Now I sound like an ass, because used that console command to force AAF to work. About to hop over to another mod support because violate is fully functional now, but another mod still not triggering animations.
SunScrubbed Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 Is there anyway to force a surrender on an npc? Like a console command?
EgoBallistic Posted April 21, 2025 Author Posted April 21, 2025 Yes. Select the actor in console, then run these two commands: ssq fpv_aggressor forcerefintoalias victims There are three surrendered enemy aliases: victims, victims01, and victims02. So if you want so make 3 enemies surrender, substitute victims01 and victims02 for victims in the second command.
professoul Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 I have some problem making multiple enemy surrender in one fight, because surrendered enemy will go back aggro if I hit another enemy. Is this intended?

deff. Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Is it possible, that mod somehow affects F4SE customcontrolmap.txt file? I have noticed, that when mod triggers animations, that file is totally messed up and some functions is disabled after that - can't draw weapon or default pipboy key is not working...
mishu_mihaita Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 Would be nice if you didn't remove the last version that worked with 1.10.163

Infinity31 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 is there a setting so followers keep fighting until there knocked aswell?
EgoBallistic Posted May 8, 2025 Author Posted May 8, 2025 12 hours ago, Infinity31 said: is there a setting so followers keep fighting until there knocked aswell? No. I have tried a couple of approaches to doing this in the past, but I always end up giving up on it because it's just not fun to watch. In Fallout 4, combat between NPCs takes absolutely forever, both sides end up hiding behind cover and missing 90% of their shots, while you are lying there immobile. I have thought about revisiting this, maybe coming up with a way to temporarily make your followers and the enemies more aggressive and do more damage so the combat ends more quickly. I don't have a lot of time to take on something that large right now, however. 1

SgtDragoonKnight Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 (edited) Howdy ya'll. I had decided to use NAF this time around fallowed the instructions (I think to a T) and So far the AAF Violate will activate and play animation (including harassment encounter) but im running into a issue after the scene is done im locked into the surrender pose breaking the game. I'm not receiving a bug report from it. So it quite confusing. I'm also using Vortex and at this rate I wouldnt be surprised if that an issue too. (Edit: started a new game, and it fixed the issue... Odd that it corrupted the whole save lot of the old game. Though I had basically reinstalled everything too before the new game with the old saves still not working.) Short long story modding is a pain. Can't imagine making one. Edited May 9, 2025 by SgtDragoonKnight
