I have also tried a new game with only this mod and its dependencies, and the CTD happens every time there as well.

 

I searched this thread and saw someone mentioned this mod was built using an older version of Pama. Is this still the case, and what version should I be using? Or is there some other fix I've overlooked?

Just to check, I assume your not doing anything to try and speed things up, your letting the mod scripts spit you, move you to the roast and then the spike? While it shouldn't affect the Spit roast NG decap is now a requirement for the current LL version of deadly furniture, you do have that installed? 

 

So, I should add some dials to Tipo. Yes, you need to meet the conditions (amount of gold, stage, etc...)

It seems to be just this particular scene, where the player moves from the spit to the spike, that is the problem.  It doesn't crash when an NPC is selected for this scene.

 

I am on the latest version of AE, if that's relevant? I have also noticed that the character's face, hands and feet turn a different color than the rest of the body when on the spit, but this does not prevent the character moving from the spit to the plate/spike when I advance the scene using the space bar options.

 

It's only with the spike ? not with the plate ? if yes, it will be easy to solve : just remove the spike, and redirrect the cooked player to the plate.

I'm having a similar issue. I am on 3.0.4 version of Pama's mod (I also tested 3.0.3) and the Oven does not spawn for me during the quest New Equipments, which after leaving the soulgem extractor and ending the conversations results in CTD.

Oven was added in V3.1.1

There is no ‘oven’ in the description of the mod pama, and it was added in 3.1.1 available ONLY on his patreon. So the oven will not appear, because you do not have the correct version.

I see. Oh well, I guess I will have to skip this part of the mod. Only, I don't think there was any information about that in the mod description, might wanna add that.

As far as I remember, when taking the quest ‘New Equipments’ there is a dialogue ‘(need pama 3.1.3)’ or something like that was written.

You are correct, I went and checked that, in my ADHD brain I thought it said 3.0.3, not 3.1.3, sorry.

The oven is still locked though, I have the patron version and the oven is there but covered and doesn't uncover, I assume Del never got to doing that part of the quest since it was patron only anyway and was waiting for the oven to be public.

Del finished, this quest. Apparently the mod didn't remove the block from the oven, which it should have.

 

Anyway, a note to you. There are 2 ovens (1 in the kitchen and the other in the room with that electricity flare machine and soul gem production). The one in the kitchen should unlock after completing the quest ‘New Equipment’.

Odd, I'll have to run through it from the start again and see as the one in the kitchen still had the block on it, though it might be a side effect of using the quick option to skip the quest.

If you use "skip" quest ‘New Equipment’. so this will ramain block on oven.

Ah, that would be it then, last time I did the run through it I ended up there at level 1 from simple slavery, didn't really feel like trying to go through the ruins like that, will give it another test later then.

I tried this as well. With the spike removed, I still get a CTD at exactly the same point. The only difference is the screen goes black for a moment before the crash. (Before the CTD happened while the characters were still onscreen.) I've tried removing the spike and placing a new one and the exact same thing happens.

 

I'm beginning to think the spike is a red herring. As always, the spike works fine when the VIP quest script isn't running. It seems to be something in the script that is causing the crash.

So 1-3 are correct, you shouldn't always get picked though, it should be a roughly 1 in 5 chance, are you reloading to a save before or after you have spoken to the VIP? You should always quicksave on this quest before speaking to the VIP at all as that is before the point where the game has decided which version of the quest is getting picked.

 

 I honestrly tried around 30 times to get that quest where you are getting spitroasted until i gave up. I got every single version of the quest with no crash. But never got the version where I was being spitroasted. I tried to spitroast myself and put myself on the spike without problems. And i tried it with slaves.

 

As far as i remember after you are put on the spike, the screen goes black, there is a sound - a little bit like an explosion - and when the camera is back your bloody bones are everywhere. So my guess is the problem occurs when those bones are thrown in the room? Not necessarily with the spike. Not sure, though.

 

The exhibition quest also doesn't start btw. I did not read everything. Maybe it's deactivated? 

 

I also had problems with special meat requests in some cases. In one version where the clone was killed everything worked fine. But now everytime i got it, around 3 times, the clone walked to simza and no conversation started. Maybe this is the version i will be killed? Not sure, i will look at it with sqs next time, to get the quest name.

 

I also have problems with the dwemer device. There is no quest using it and there is no dialog popping up what you want to do. You hang in there, can't do anything and you can't even use the load option from the menu. I have to go to the main menu to reload. I only have Pama 3.0.4, though. :(

 

Edit: I updated to Pama 3.1.9 and the dwemer device now is able to kill and disintigrate you. Destroy Limb does nothing, though. Not sure where that comes from. I also tried exhibition with Pama 3.1.9. It works again. Not sure why this seem to need the newest Pama version.

you can get it by using setstage. explore the quest in CK, get the stage where player is picked. But it's better to play the quest, for aliases distribution.

 

Ah, I see... player body made invisible, and bones placed to show player was eaten and reduced to her bones. But the script is not perfect, need improvements.

 

This quest exist and works.

 

player clones can be... buggy. there is nothing I can do. expect this king of bugs with player clones.

I guess this is not in the repeatable quests?

I skipped the introduction quests in my current save. Later i thought it might be a good idea to buy the Pama patreon to get 3.1.9. Then i used setstage to get the dwemer quest stages all to max to make the devices usable. So i guess my ravenous state might be a bit corrupted right now so this repeatable quest might not show up.

 

If there is no repeatable version i think it would be a cool little quest in the spirit of the Experimental Spell quest. Mistress wants to experiment with your slave soul. 3 possible outcomes: disintigration, limbs removed, free soul stone for the player.

it is repeatible. The quest is finished and can be relaunch if player dies.

How do you restart that electric dwemer device repeatable? I'm sure it's not in any of the dialogues with mistress. I'm also sure it worked in any older version of the mod. There were some strange metal things on your arms and your legs. Probaly some kind of clothing. 

 

Maybe this framework here could help if you want to create more variety of aftermath stuff?

Sorry, started a new save. Seems like no one else is reporting it as an issue so may just be on my end. If I get back to it I'll make sure to do better bug reporting.

 

Anyhow, this was my first play through of this mod in a year and the changes are great. I love what you've done with it and I wish more mod makers copied your philosophy of allowing people to skip parts they've done dozens of times to get to the new stuff. The variety of quests to do at the end is probably the best part and I hope you keep adding more things to do.

 

Also there's a mod called Enhanced Death Cam on Nexus that allows you to move the camera and extend the duration before the game loads a save, would be cool if you used that to extend some of the scenes involving player death.

okay i have this weird issue where i have to get the 35 pieces of human meat and i do like even different kinds and i even cheated in an extra 35 that this mod added to be sure and somehow i cant progress the quest 

edit: i figured it out i had complete alchemy and cooking overhaul installed that makes human flesh hominid flesh and can't be used i uninstalled caco and now it works fine

OK, I'm back on Ravenous.

I made a rep quest for the soul extractor (the pama dwemer engine).

 

I need also to read that mod thread, and extract the ideas and bugs related points.
