Bad Dog Posted November 3, 2020 Author Posted November 3, 2020 Getting close! The flying works, the wings work well enough. I went with a non-hoodie SOS schlong which just flops when it's not angry. Everybody gets wings according to their races and as you see, followers fly with you. A few tweaks--maybe a few more wing colors so the songbirds can get wings that match better--and it's good to go. Spoiler 2
Ryokentaru Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Followers fly with you, you say? Now I need to create a flying posse and take the fight to those arrogant dragons in the sky.
GDelscribe Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 What I know about bat penises is that they rarely if ever hang, they shrink to half their size and actually function similar to horse penises at flaccid rest, bunched into a pseudosheath or foreskin like adaptation. Its why I actually designed a custom dong for bats long ago bc the irl explanation is even wierder. But yes. This is p accurate. The balls to body ratio should be a bit different as traditionally bats are PACKING. Spoiler https://i.imgur.com/f6oa5xs.jpg At largest size they are equal to 40% of body size and at smallest, 10%
Bad Dog Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 All right, new version is up! Details in the OP. I've been running with this on my current LE game and it seems pretty stable. Tho I have to say, my last game was on SE and I was all like, so how is this better--now I'm back on LE and I'm reminded of all the hoops I had to jump through to handle LE. Task Manager open so as to kill Skyrim when it does a hard freeze. Abandoned Prison save so I can start in a small cell and then switch to the real save. And so on. And OMG, the time it takes to go through load doors. Other than that I really like my current game tho--I downloaded Skyrim Realistic Overhaul, downscaled the textures to max out at 2048, and I really like the result. Also running True Vision ENB and I'm happy with it. Maybe next I'll see how close I can get to all that on the SE side. Thing is there are a few things that just aren't as good--I haven't found a first-person mod I really like, player head tracking doesn't seem to work, the face-to-face mods aren't as good. And of course the whole HDT disaster. But I think this mod is a solid improvement. Wings fold at least a bit tighter than the old ones did, and I lost weeks to get that little bit. Bird tints try to follow the morphs of actual birds and the stacking order makes sense, so can put a beak stripe on top of a cap on top of a head color. Bat schlong is a simple SOS schlong. I can do a multi-stage hoodie if there's interest. I have a mesh for it but decided I wasn't happy with it and went with what I have now, which I think is a better starting point. EDIT: Well, it's going up. Really slowly. Like a bit every minute or so. Keep checking back if you don't have the 5.0 files up for base mod, schlongs, digi, and NPCs. CBBE and Titties are still good. 1

I would love to see the hoodie version (because I liked the SOS bat version) ?
Raydric Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Hello, Bad Dog. I would like to know if you have plan to make a facial retexture for male bats. I know this sounds familiar to you because I've raised this issue before. I hope me bringing it up again doesn't bother you. For future mod plans you mentioned: "Lighten the male heads?" I'm not sure if you were referencing my face retexture request or if you misunderstood what I was asking (I'm not very good at explaining things). So I wanted to post about this again in case I was not clear enough before. Spoiler (Tattoos do not suit him very well, cause of dark cheek) Bat women have no problem, only their feet so far, but the facial appearance they have is so soft and well done that the tattoos look great in the day and the night I just wanted to tell you about this, only the facial aspect. I love them like the others like: Nord, Imperial (overhaul), Deer, Equine among others. Although they have a soft facial appearance, it is still possible to distinguish between both sexes Now that I figured out, bats share some similarity to Bretons in facial texture Spoiler I love this species that you created too much and I would like others to enjoy it too ? I hope I didn't make a very long post and I didn't bother you about this (again)
Bad Dog Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Yeah, that's not so great. I'll have a look at it next time through. Maybe for the foxes too. 1
Slyghos95 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 The new bat genitalia is wonderful and I think it must be your first time @Bad Dog working with exotic genitalia. I can't wait to try on hoodie and anthro version for bats too ?
Bad Dog Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 Clearly you haven't loaded up the Cellans (otters).

poblivion Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 @Bad Dog I really like the possibility of changing the type of bat's ears ? Would you be willing to create this option for the Lykaios race too? Add a few types of ears, for example long pointed ones like the Egyptian Jackal, or similar ears like the Worgen and etc... Thanks
zankurous Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Hello. There seems to be an issue with the facial hair slider on female birds since selecting a particular one causes CTD on the LE version. This slider does work without issues for the bird males though. 1
Bad Dog Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 I see your glow-in-the-dark and raise you this: Apparently when a bird shows up the PC gets painted with their head tints? Or something? There's a call in Birds to reapply tint layers to fix the PCs wing color, but I dunno how he got the ones from a random PC. And I dunno how he's targeted anyway.
MadMansGun Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 i'm not using the wing addon so i don't have that problem. looking at the script i'll take a guess that there is a crossover going on with "Actor akTarget" and "Actor akCaster" (but i suck at script so i am most likely wrong) maybe a spell or something is setup wrong so it's sending a area effect hitting other actors, therefor Target and Caster are not the same actor. also "Game.UpdateTintMaskColors()" somehow does not feel right to me, based on other things i have fucked around with (and royal screwed up because i have no clue what i'm doing) in the past it does not look like it's targeting anything....so defaulting to player maybe?
Bad Dog Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Yeah, all the tint layer calls seem to affect the player only. Certainly I couldn't get them to put color back on NPC's wings--I had to make wings with the colors I wanted. So I have no idea how the engine decided to apply a random NPC's face tints to the player.
MadMansGun Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 looks like Game.UpdateTintMaskColors() is the wrong script for the job, i found this in a search: void UpdateTintMaskColors(StaticFunctionTag * base) { PlayerCharacter* pPC = (*g_thePlayer); TintMask * tintMask = CALL_MEMBER_FN(pPC, GetTintMask)(TintMask::kMaskType_SkinTone, 0); if(tintMask) { NiColorA val; val.r = tintMask->color.red / 255.0; val.g = tintMask->color.green / 255.0; val.b = tintMask->color.blue / 255.0; UpdatePlayerSkin(pPC, &val); } UpdatePlayerTints(); } apparently this is in SKSE's "PapyrusGame.cpp" script.
017333 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Hmm. Would someone be willing to take some screenshots of the new and (allegedly?) finalized bat equipment? I don't currently have Skyrim installed nor do I really want to go through the trouble of setting up mods right now, but I'm still curious about the finished result. I'm asking since there were lighting and gapping issues with BadDogs example a page ago by their own admission, as they were seeking opinions before releasing the update. The first version looked pretty interesting from what I could tell, but I'm not sure if there were any texture issues? The testicles looked a little dark (like pitch black dark) and lacking detail from that angle. It was hard to make out the overall effect. I wasn't sure if it was shadow from lighting or the actual color, especially since the rest of his fur was a lighter shade.
Bad Dog Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 @MadMansGun That looks basically like what I want tho. At least the UpdatePlayerSkin part, that's what's getting the tint back on the wings. UpdatePlayerTints isn't necessary for what I'm doing but it shouldn't be a problem either. There must be something down in there that's picking up the tints of the last character loaded or something, rather than the tints of the PC. Maybe just doing a SetTintMaskColor of the base skin tint back to the color it already is would do what I want without the side effect. UpdatePlayerSkin() doesn't seem to be exposed to Papyrus. Nice digging, btw. Who the hell uses subversion these days tho?
MadMansGun Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 you have "SetNthTintMaskColor" "SetTintMaskColor" and other "set" commands dam near everywhere: BDBirdADWMagicEffect, BDBRealFlyingME, BDBWingColorPersist maybe add "Debug.Notification" lines to all of them, Eg: Debug.Notification("SetNthTintMaskColor line 42 in BDBirdADWMagicEffect)
Bad Dog Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 Do I now. There's probably redundancy in there somewhere.

So out of idle curiosity, have you had any further thoughts about the implementation of a "realistic" wing style option where they are attached to the arms? Your explanation from the last time was pretty interesting to me. I was wondering if, chiefly because I would assume you don't have any hand in developing the wing mods your own mod uses as a framework to build off of, would it be possible to collab with the author of those and see what they have to say about supporting it? It's just a thought. Maybe as an idea for later on, after all of the other stuff is finished up, and if you think it's worth trying. Would be interesting to see prototypes if you do tinker around, though. I think your work is great. Happy holidays, btw.
Bad Dog Posted December 26, 2020 Author Posted December 26, 2020 Happy holidays to you too. There are so many logistical problems with putting feathers on arms, I'm just not inclined to go there. Armor with sleeves. SL animations. All the other animations. Feathers blocking your view when you try to fight. Just seems like a bunch of problems for limited value. I'd be willing to dive into creating animations but I have to see what it's going to get me.
RylethIV Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 guys, quick question, the nexus version of the mods are the same of the ones on loverslab? or something is missing on the nexus version?
