Spoiler

Once again, this episode ended being longer than planned, with nearly 150 images. As much as I like good stories, I think such a length might alter the comfort of view, so I chose to part it in two. But as those two halves are closely linked, I also chose to do so when I'd be nearing to the next (and final) entry's release : so the good news are that you could expect that final part coming in about one week. :innocent:

Secondly, I've been wondering for some time if my library shouldn't be the library of all LL's stories instead of just "stories outside the chronicles". Should my chronicles be featured in it alongside the most noteworthy story blogs ? Is their place legit there ? The question is simple and complex at the same time, and I might be biased. So I chose not to be the one to answer it, thus the poll above. Smiley_jap_HFR.gif

There are also some minor things planned in the near future, so the blog should become livelier a bit longer than usual.

Great entry! Really enjoyed Malicia's narrative in contrast to the real events. That was really fun and it's definitely something you could expend on in the future, everybody likes good dragon stories!

I'm also glad Serana didn't get fully carried away by the silliness of the other characters and stayed true to her nature ;)

I'm looking forward to the second part.

I didn't know your story weren't part of the library :O. I thought it was a given that they are featured as well, there is no reason to not pad yourself on your own shoulder from time to time.

Btw. I was the one voting for a description not be written by Malicia but instead by Tirloque (I'll probably stay the only one voting for that)... Even though I like her, I like order and consistency even more :frown:.

Maybe have a second description written by her below the index entry... I'd really enjoy reading it. ;)

Well that was fun!  I loved the Librarian scene and the DragonballZ fight!  You picked the right music for that fight scene.  Also!  Who knew the word "sex" was prince's senzu bean?

Adrea:  Cerberus is the right way to describe Gro-Shub.  I couldn't get away with anything in there.  No Food, No Liquids, and especially, No Magic!  I can literally create water and control the flow.  Why couldn't I have a water skin in the Arcanaeum?  :rage:

Hahahahaha Trilog. Very funny episode.  :)Liked the fighting scene and the way he teased Serana. Compliments.

I learned a new thing about Malicija. She knows Stranger came to be with her, but she is sneaky and want to put him and Serana together. That's not nice but I guess all redheads are doing it. It is a ginger's genes ;)

One chapter left, you still have to opportunity to kill off Serana in a violent and embarrassing way. Do the right thing!

Darn it! I was just about to start writing a proper commentary to Tirloque's wonderful episode, and then I saw your reply...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Phew...ok...ok...I can do this. Ahem, Tirloque, please disregard my maniacal cackling at Spy's suggestion. Your Serana is actually quite lovely and seems to be rather reasonable. 😊

What a charming story! It's strange to say it here on LL, but it reads like a fairy tale (for adults). It has that magical aspect of wonder mixed with heroism, humor and weirdly enough - innocence.  On top of that some of the effects that you create (the shrinking scene with the 'Cerberus', for example) almost give this a Disney-like feel. And Malicia's narration is simply perfect.

My personal favorite dialogue was this one:

Stranger's trick with touching Serana's boot was rather clever and probably would've worked if he wasn't dealing with an incredibly powerful and ancient vampire. 😅

And of course his miraculous regaining of consciousness the moment there was a mention of sex was hilarious.

Overall, great work! Really looking forward to the next part. 🤗

P.S. You're a great storyteller and your stories absolutely must be in the library! Why weren't they there to begin with? 😮

P.P.S. I don't think I've ever asked, but where did Malicia's term "to honey-honey" come from?

Excellent work, Trilog. I say: if Malicija doesn't want to have sex with Stranger, he should do Serana. Maybe they are meant to be together after all since Malicija would rather spend her time with her Caramel (and I don't saying it on dirty way). :)

Well, this chronicle (it's currently nearly as large as Tabrielle's chronicle) is an extended demonstration of Malicia's storytelling style already, I'm not sure I could expand way beyond that. Though she might exert her skills from time to time, in others' characters chronicles. :innocent:

Actually reacting in the most rational manner would lead most people to get carried away. Though Stranger tried to push both his luck and his undoing too far, as usual I might say.

That being said, though there are some inconsistencies reaching the end of DG's MQ, the Serana my characters met didn't strike me as a suggestible character. On the contrary even, so that trait stayed in my version of her ; though she has shown some slow evolution signs when changes aren't forced upon her.

Now that you're writing it, I do realize you have a point there. If the objective is to consider my blog like any other, then it should be processed the same way, to keep things sorted. Having it written by the sisters or by several people would kind of give it a special treatment in fact, and might deter from the initial objective. Smiley_jap_HFR.gif

I guess my DB influences were never as obvious than in this episode. I'm stoked you liked the fight, and that the music synced well with it, since they take quite some effort to make and are parts I do enjoy to create and read. :classic_biggrin:

As for Stranger (who is NOT Prince, though there are some heavy similarities in the way they talk), let's say for one part, though his strength is subpar compared to regular heroes, years of beating have mad him unbelievably resistant. So he keeps his zenkai boost ready to oblige surrounding ladies at anytime. ^^

Thanks, Devianna ! Well, considering Malicia's love for princes & princesses' concepts, turning her own stories into fairy tales certainly is a part of her objectives ! Only, there's a gap between the original, adult version, and her slight adjustments on the revised told story. ^^ As for the Disney aspect, Malicia's personality may tend to provoke those around her, her reactions coloring events that may have been lived otherwise by other persons.

But I like the fairy-tale assessment, and Malicia won't complain either. ^^

I'm glad I managed to translate Gro-Shub into a vision close of how Malicia perceives him, because the image you quoted sums-up him quite well. But that precise line is in some way inspired by to Matrix Revolutions, if you saw it. :classic_wink:

Thanks again. I'm glad the effect of Stranger's renewed vigor came out well. :classic_biggrin:

You're right about your analysis of Serana btw, she may have felt less insulted if she wasn't a Cold harbour daughter, among the most powerful vampires of Skyrim. That being said, even if it was Tryade, I'm not sure the "panties" request would've been received much better. He is too used to Ivy. ^^

9 hours ago, Devianna said:

To Malicia, it comes from practical observation : couples tend to call their beloved "honey", and so when one responds "honey" when being called "honey", she deduced they are in love. And so "honey-honey" means the act of romancing someone, and all its immediate physical consequences. ^^

She knew Stranger came to visit her, but perceived him as a friend. And as she also knew him as being hot blooded, she naturally thought he could solve Serana's cold blooded problem. She has noticed Serana seemed to avoid any kind of love relationship each time a guy approached her, and so she thought she had to create the circumstances with one who won't hesitate. ^^

I think that's one of the features of the humorous approach, people don't take everything overly serious and thus small inconsistencies are barely noticeable. :)

Well, one could argue that it's mostly "Tirloque's curated LoversLab stories" anyway and thus a bit of an extra treatment is justified. :)

The devs left a lot of undefined and shady areas regarding her, for which an author would necessarily have to make choices. Even if I try to make her consistent with what is known of her, there are necessarily differences. Also, Skyrim's power scaling is the one of a playable game, and so my vampires' powers clearly differ in magnitude from it, Serana's physical speed and to a lesser extent strength reflecting that. Anyway, the characters depicted in Malicia's adventures are the ones you may encounter in more serious Mereth chronicles. Serana wouldn't be interpreted much differently in Tryade's chronicles for example, though the situations she's in may differ greatly.

But by inconsistencies, I was rather referring to ingame's version in fact. Spoilers to those who haven't completed Dawnguard :

Spoiler

Serana's and her mother's very reason to oppose Harkon is to prevent him from bloating the sun. And then, once Auriel's bow becomes available, she would casually agree to let you use it the way Harkon wanted ? If that's not a contradiction I don't know what is... Smiley_whistle_HFR.gif

There's plenty of stuff absolutely inconsistent and poorly done about her, she feels to me like she is 17 and part of a young adult vampire novel and not a millennial old vampire. But I think we had this discussion already in another place. If you want to see why Bethesda's storytelling is so bad have a look at this if you're interested:

This is a talk by the lead writer of Skyrim and Fallout 4 and after that pile of convoluted thoughts, that's supposed to be a talk, you'll understand why Bethesda's stories suck.

I definitely like the image of serana that you presented, and her perplexity from what is happening at the very end.
And the stranger, as always, will not miss a single chance towards lady. ^_^

Well, technically she was turned while still being virgin, and spent some hundreds of years in a box, so having her behave like a 25 years adult can partially be justified. Anyway, your lead writer starts very afar from the main course, but I may find the courage to check this out more thoroughly. :classic_tongue:

Thanks, Crw ! I knew you'd react to Malicia's comments about nuns. :classic_biggrin:

If there is a domain where Serana is ill at ease, it's clearly romance,. So to have a guy coming out of nowhere, seemingly instantly recovering from powerful blows and starting a courteous courtship like if nothing ever happened definitely destabilized her. As you mentionned, Stranger is not to be underestimated in that regard. ^^

Plan B) Malicija remain a friend with Stranger, BUT Serana fall in love with him, they go to Valkihar castle and produce many little vampires.
