BruceWayne Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Current status:April, 16th 2013 I'm happy to announce that I resumed working on SexoutAffairs. The last few months have been rather stressfull, so my time and motivation, coupled with the fact that I couldn't look for one more second at the GECK, were rather low (zero in fact). I always knew that I wanted to return to it at some point, since it is far from the state I want it to be. Enough with the excuses and self-pity, let's get to the stuff I'm working on right now: Endings: The setup for the endings is complete. I did a big chunk of this, before my hiatus, so this is old news. I'm currently setting them up and need to figure some stuff out. The way it works now is, that after a certain point in your relationship, Inga comes up to you and asks for your advice. Depending on your answer and the nature of your relationship, different things will happen. Don't want to spoiler anything, so that is that. I replayed the mod for a couple of times and didn't like the way I've handled the sex. I have an idea for it to be more interactive, but it is still in its very early stages and I'm not sure if I'm going to rewrite all the scripts I'm using for Inga or if I'll start the new system with a new character. Which brings me to my next point, I have made several new character concepts. I will upload them over the next couple of days/weeks and hope to get some opinions from you, as to what (kind of) character you want to see next. Since we are able now to remove/alter Polls (which wasn't possible on the old site), I'm going to remove the old sound effect poll, which has done it's job, I think. With roughly 9-1 in favor of sound effects, the result is quite clear. In case you don't like the sound effects, you can delete the SexoutAffairs.bsa (only contains soundfiles) and there will be nothing, but eerie silence. In case you are wondering about the weird figures, I think the poll only counted people voting after the forum software switch, but retained the votes prior to that. Lastly, I want to thank everyone for playing this mod and providing feedback. So if you still have ideas, suggestions or criticism (hopefully of the constructive kind ), have at it.The IdeaSeptember, 28th 2012After coming back to F:NV and starting my recent playthrough, I realized, that there was something missing in the Sexout plugin department: There are only a handful of mods that cater specifically to straight male couriers (SexoutSex, SexoutCompanions, SexoutFadetoblack to name a few). Those are great mods, but they lack the depth of some of the mods, that are designed for female couriers exclusively.So, I thought to myself: "Hey, if no one else is going to do something about that, might as well be my turn to give something back."So I started to collect some ideas, wrote them down and came up with "Sexout Affairs" (short: SOA).First I wanted to implement some small encounters for the major settlements in the Mojave. I made my test character Inga and wrote every line of code with her in mind. After delving deeper in the sexout modules and some other major mods and beginning to understand the inner workings of the GECK (I´m very far from understanding it all, mind you) I figured that I can use the dialog- and quest structure I created for a greater purpose. I don´t mean making every NPC "marriagable" and/or "dateable", but creating some unique characters with their own personality. This may make them more "predictable" in a way, but imo far more memorable (think of randomly vs. hand designed dungeons in RPGs).The idea itself is pretty simple. You talk to your potential love interest and collect "LikePoints". Based on your characters attributes, skills, allegiances, etc. you get different tresholds you have to overcome in order to impress her, date her, get in her pants, etc..Questions? Suggestions? Ideas?You have an awesome idea for an existing or new character?You want to see some cool feature or quest, that isn´t covered by this mod or in other Sexout plugins?You want to contribute in some way?There are some things I cannot or will not do.I'm not going to do stuff that involves creatures. There are enough mods out there that cover this area already and it's not something I would enjoy to do.I won't change Vanilla quests or dialogue.I'm not able to add new features to sexout itself, so I have to use the resources that are already available.Older status updates: November 12, 2012With the last update, Inga got a lot of really cool new stuff. More dialogue, more different kinds of dates, more ways to have sex with her and all that.But the question I have and maybe others too is, what will happen with her, if every dialogue option is exhausted? If you've seen every scene that's available? Went on every date possible? What if she gambled away all your hard scavenged cash or made a little fortune while gambling in the Vikki & Vance Casino?Some of the possible answers to these questions were already discussed in this discussion thread. Some people want the option for marriage, some want her to be a companion, etc. Personally, I'm not really convinced on any of these options. There are plenty companions available on the Nexus and here on loverslab and marriage would be a feature that would strongly depend on the character of each individual NPC in question (I'm not completely ruling it out).My possible "solution" to this problem, would be to offer multiple endings to your relationship with her.These endings would depend on how you interacted with her, how you responded to certain topics, how much she likes you and maybe a little randomness too.In the light that this is a Fallout game, where morality is or should be one big grey area (despite "Karma" *shudder*, thank Obsidian for largely ignoring this in FNV), there shouldn't be instantenously obvious "good" or "evil" solutions for Inga and subsequently all other characters. Maybe a well-meant advice took a turn for the worst, a life changing event, that randomly occurs and needs you to make a tough decision for her, 3rd party influences (rivals) that cross your path and a lot of other possibilities and opportunities. As this is a Sexout mod, a lot, if not all, of these consequences should feature sex in one way or the other.The other option would be, to let everything run it's course and not let anything happen after every option is exhausted. Basically, leaving all the options as is and moving on to the next character, without having any kind of solution or progression, beyond what is already available.My question now is, what would you prefer? Having characters at your back and call, without progression or would you like "consequences and conclusions", whatever they may be? Even if it would mean, that characters aren't available anymore for dating and mating after certain scenarios.If you have an opinion on this or an even better idea, I'd love to hear about it!October 22nd, 2012 different greetings and responses, depending how much she likes/dislikes you new dialogue (with some new lines from ChancellorKremlin) You can have dates at her new home (thanks to Kainschilde), at the bar and Gambling is now an option for dates as well (given that V&V reopened and it gets recognized properly) sex now in her own bed (the Nashs don't have to move over) new sex scenes... she comments on your performance after sex... sex available in different locations the bar in the V&V now has a bartender that can help you on your quest to get some lovin'. other stuff I can't remember right now:) Bugfixes: travel packages now have more tolerance to reach their targets. I figure that´s enough for initial testing and stuff. It will be playable with female couriers as well, so you dont have to roll a new toon to try this mod. The images are from imgur, which acts weird sometimes. Open the image in a new tab, click on the URL and hit Enter. The picture should show properly. Not sure why it works, but it does. EDIT: You should probably move your new sig image to a different image host due to the same issue.

I will try a different one. I´ll definitely take you up on that offer tho:) EDIT: Images were set to private... Do they work now?

I went the harsher route for my soRapist mod, so I'm glad to see more intimate style mods appearing (the DocMitchell one is another one, although female PC oriented). Now if we could get some more intimate style animations (hugging, kissing, and some others I mentioned in another thread), that would really help with mods like this. By the way, is that a molerat peeking over the edge of the bed in the last shot ?

It tells her where to go:) As for hugging and kissing: I´d love to implement stuff like that. But then again, this will not be a date everyone, fuck everyone mod like Art of Seduction. Think of it more like this great mod for skyrim, but with a scoring system and sex at the end. Companions are beyond the scope of this mod. There are other mods that handle them already, like SexoutCompanions. I will only do custom characters for maximum compatibility with other mods and because I like to create custom characters:) Maybe I should shed some light on the system. LikePoints are currently rewarded through dialog choices. There are two kinds of them at the moment: specific and general. The specific ones get stored seperately for each character. General points are used for shared dialog topics like faction dialogue. Basically a way to minimize topic creation. They get cleared after the conversation is over. Then there are DatePoints, which determine the result of your date during a date event. Based on that score, you get awarded an appropriate amount of LikePoints. During conversations I run a script that compares your LikePoints with a personalized dynamic treshold. It looks like this: set iPlayerAp to (30/((PlayerRef.getav charisma + PlayerRef.getav strength + PlayerRef.getav endurance)/3)) You will get a value between 1 and 10 for the first treshold (whether or not you can discuss personal things with her). My educated guess is, that it usually ranges between 5 and 6 for your average build. Tresholds get checked at the GREETING-topic, so if you pump yourself with buffout, mentats and the likes you get a lower treshold in this case. Other tresholds are also based on this, so if you lower the initial treshold, the others drop too. I plan to make different tresholds for different characters to keep it interesting. Maybe mix other factors in, like faction affiliation or something like that.

Maybe I find a way for "special" builds to obtain enough Points without drugs. I think you can still get 10 with high enough speech skill, before you have to pass the first treshold, so nothing is impossible.

In fact, as long as you check non-SPECIAL stats I'm fine; my Courier is Level 14 and hasn't left Goodsprings yet. I'm going to have to find one of those mods that lets you put over 100 points in skills or I'm going to get stuck on the Level Up screen...

I purpose the dating system as a sandbox, rather than specific to a certain character. It means you can have a date to anyone you saw in the Wasteland, including custom added character people downloaded in internet. You can purpose a marriage to anyone too along with the dating progress. Beside of sandbox dating, you can also add uniqueness with specific dialog or story to certain character. Like Cass, Veronica, etc, or even your specially made characters. Your date partner will ask you specific items that you need to find and gave her, to increase the relationship and dating progress. Like toys, teddy bear, post-war food, etc. You can get a Lover Comfort (like Skyrim) effect in the PipBoy after having sex with your partner, or special bonus Lover perk if she became your companion. You can have a polygamy marriage. Or you can became one of your wife's husband. Like you can bang any prostitute and other woman, your partner can have affairs with someone else too. There will be positive and negative effect in the PipBoy. That's all, I need more time to think more ideas........
