It makes me happy that the very best companion in all of Fallout comes not from the Nexus, or arguably from Bethesda, Obsidian, or Black Isle, But From LL.

Not to give you a complex, but it's a groundbreaking mod.

I have no bugs or anything, just my thanks.

Thanks for the kind words, it's greatly appreciated!

I know Ivy's backstory.  I brought her to that place she warns me not to, the place left off the note. Can I release her suppressed personality? HOW?

There are several places where you should never take Ivy, but they cannot be reached through 'normal' gameplay channels. It's more of a minor Easter Egg than anything else, so don't expect a subquest that will release her suppressed personality.... yet.

In fact, should Deborah wake up then you (as player) would be in REAL trouble.

@Reginald_001 Have you checked out Mod Configuration Menu (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21497/)? It adds a configuration menu for modifications to the in game menu where you can perform all of the usual actions. The MCM allows for the configuration of modifications even if the player has been stripped of their items.

Really useful and helpful if a quest for Fallout 4 were to strip the player of items and you needed to alter the configuration of her at some point. Also if the MCM is anything like the one for Skyrim then you could potentially have it so certain options can be locked out in certain situations. There would also be a opportunity for drop downlists, checkboxes etc. Generally a wide variety of graphical configuration options.

Using soft dependencies you could make it if you haven't already utilise MCM for the configuration options if it is installed and active; otherwise utilise the holotape for the configuration.

It may have a F4SE dependency but it does enable much more complex scripts; though the number of updates by Bethesda to Fallout 4 breaking the script extender does need to be weighed up against.

Thanks for the suggestion!

All of Ivy's important configuration is done through her service menu via dialogue making it not really worth the effort. No other mod should remove the holotape from the player's inventory and if they lose it in game.. he.. that's life in an RPG.. Immmmeeersion! (j/k).

@Reginald_001 If they don't obey the nostrip tag or keyword then they may do! Also if the tape doesn't have that applied to it.

The configuration menu can also be used to hold troubleshooting options - important if been stripped and you run into a incompatibility during a playthrough at any point in the future.

For instance DCL has such options and configuration options present there. With it's menu when the player is in one of its devices then its configuration menu gets locked out. Thus meaning you can have a lot of configuration options present on screen at any one time grouped together with lists of options.

So you can prevent configuring if situations during your quests require it or it is felt necessary during certain parts of the vanilla quests.

@Reginald_001 I may have an account for a voice actress. May be useful for either the companion or the quests you are working on. Though payment for roles will likely be required.

@Reginald_001 - If you are interested in a really good synthesized voice then check out Mycroft AI's Mimic TTS (https://github.com/MycroftAI/mimic) and Mozilla's DeepSpeech (https://github.com/mozilla/DeepSpeech).

You will need to pipe or generally redirect their output through in order to record their output though.

Thanks for all suggestions!

@Reginald_001 - If you feel that your project at any point requires a team. I recommend using something like GitHub or GitLab to collaborate and manage the mod for source code manager (scm) functionality. Alternatively an equivalent service either here on LoversLab (if there is something like it available to site members) or else where on the internet.

In order to help prevent conflicts, regressions in changes being made in the modification and keep a good log of on going changes and who was assigned to each "issue".

I cannot reveal anything yet, but something very special might be coming for Ivy in the coming months... very special.. Just know that development is on-going and very, very, cool stuff is happening in the background.. hopefully more news in the coming weeks/months.

I know that.  That's what TGM is for.  I feel the need to free her.  She's been imprisoned for 70 years.

Did you make it possible to free her? Perhaps even make her grateful?

Teasers!!?? Ivy is just one fantastic tease! (thought -- less tease, more action.... when she suggests something wicked, an option to actually do it? hmm)

Simply the best companion ever.  AND she  stays out of my line of fire...

Honestly don't see how you can make Ivy better, but somehow each update turns up the heat by at least 10 degrees.

fantastic job, great work, excellent, fabulous, stupendous... man I am running out of words.

With the diverse sexual mods out there there are already many options to 'have sex' in game with Ivy. Personally the only thing I still really, really, want to get working in game is 'snuggling on bed' while talking, or 'hugging' while talking with her. But this is beyond my skills after some weeks of trying. It needs 1st and 3rd person animations I can't make, and without those I can't get my head around the scripting part. :frown:

The most important thing is that the base mod for Ivy should never have any dependencies on other mods, so she will never be dependent on mods like 4play or such. ;)

This is truly the best companion mod I have ever come across in all my years of gaming.  Whoever wrote the script shows a superb understanding of people, their personalities and their weaknesses and the voice acting is beyond belief.
I do not want to give away spoilers, so all I can say is travel with Ivy and talk to her on a regular basis and I guarantee you will never be disappointed by her.
Reginald, I salute you Sir.

Wait for the dialogue option to appear then give it to her through dialogue.

(You only need 1 to fulfill the quest)

Hi,

I've been testing this mod for a few hours, and stumbled upon a few problems with Ivy:

- Companion infinite ammo and unbreakable Power Armor mod doesn't work for Ivy

- Ivy has the worst fighting skills of any companions. Ok she is a Sexbot and not an Assaultron, but is it normal that a Mirelurk baby successfully ate a leg from her Power Armor and if I hadn't intervened would have probably won the fight. Piper without armor and an average pistol is a killing machine compared to Ivy.

Aside from that annoying problems, I like the mod.

Zurbaron

Maybe that power armor mod or another mod is messing with her. Never had an issue with her fighting ability. Nothing's ever gotten the upper hand on her and she's usually killing everything in one or two shots without any problems. She definitely doesn't need any power armor.
