I love Ivy, but I'm having serious problems with WIVS radio.  It seems to work for a bit, until I get the Nick Valentine station then it just stops working.  I've reinstalled, done a "clean save" and reinstalled, LOOTed the load order, manually changed the load order, and still no radio.  She works fine, makes her usual comments, and whatever else, but no radio.  I was enjoying brainwashing my settlers into sci-fi, especially the Logan's Run commercial and now it's gone.

By the way, was it Ivy running around screaming "exterminate" like a dalek when we were under attack, or another mod I have?  It bloody scared the crap out of me and took me back to being about 5 and hiding behind the sofa.

Can you go into more detail, what do you mean 'until I get the Nick Valentine station'...?

I've never heard of this bug before and I'm pretty sure it's not Ivy related.

When you complete the Reunions quest where you kill Kellogg, the BoS appear and it creates a radio station if you have the Far Harbor DLC ( http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Valentine's_Detective_Agency_Radio ).  At this point WIVS disappeared, or at least I noticed it had disappeared anyway.  I have two other radio stations ("KMart" and "Archie & Reg Podcast") from Nexus and they work fine, so no idea what's going on.

As an asides, a mate has said he had a similar problem with 3.1 and the radio seemed to just disappear, but he can't remember what he was doing at the time.  The only thing we had in common was the fact he had a LOT of radios (sometimes 5 or 6 to a settlement), and we have wondered whether there is an upper limit to the radios.

It's not a deal breaker and I love the mod, but it is a shame I can't hear the sci-fi ads and crazy music.

That issue in 3.1. turned out to be not Ivy related, but had to do with a mod that changes Sanctuary, overriding the Radio Emitter (it's a hidden object in the world that radios require).

Your situation sounds like some other mod is overriding either the radio-emitter in Sanctuary, or is changing radio frequencies, or is using the same radio frequency that WIVS uses (99.69). Moving Ivy all the way to the bottom of your load order should fix it. But it could be that once the object is removed, it will never return in your current save (regardless of whether you fixed the issue).

'Cleaning the save' as per the instructions of the original post in this thread, then re-installing Ivy, should do the trick in re-enabling her radio. But you will have to re-recruit her, resetting her affinity, etc..

The quest Far From Home (Valentine's detective radio) starts at like level 15 or 20, you don't have to complete Reunions first.

I started a new game and Far From Home started just fine, no radio problems. Same for Nuka World Radio. Then much later I finished Reunions.

I also have a settlement with 10 W.I.V.S. radios on. (I replaced some of the files with my own music, works fine)

And recently I thoroughly went through Ivy's .esp (Reg knows, I did Hole in the Wall 30 freakin times just to make sure the bug I was experiencing wasn't Ivy) and didn't find any conflicts with my 235 mods (some of which I made for myself).

Ivy is clean as fuck. I mean dirty, she's a dirty little synth lol

This. Dirty as you want her to be.

Having been with @Reginald_001 and Ivy since Page 1, she's pretty clean as far as mods go. He's done right by the coding since the beginning. I had a (beginning) radio issue with her as well, but later sussed out that it wasn't Ivy at all, but some other mod which I still haven't figured out which. The only other radio glitch I'm aware of is the radio in DC near the stage and crops being tuned to WIVS, but I'm thinking that might be from the TftC mod. Definitely not from IVY.

WIVS has been working for me before, during, and after Reunions. In one instance, I had WIVS playing while I was stalking/killing Kellogg even! I would definitely look into the other 2 radio mods for conflicts.

I've topped her, bottomed her, had some nice sandwich action with her in the middle and no joy with any of it.

I don't use any Sanctuary mods apart from stuff that's global (SimSettlements, Scrap Everything, turrets, water anywhere and some Adobe walls), but looks like I'll have to re-install her and lose her affinity again.  Having said that, it's preferable to rebuilding the pyramids my settlers sleep in because Sanctuary alone took around 5 hours to get just so (this was before the radio station being taken offline).

My mate googled it a while back and said that alternate start mods can cause a problem with radios (apparently it was DC radio that disappeared in that case), so could it be that?  I do use Start Me Up, along with ASIA Sexbots because it does make more sense.  Ah well affinity grind here I come...

ETA:-

In the case of the object, is there a reference ID I could do to call it back via a "player.placeatme" or "moveto.player"?  I've used that occasionally to move settlement workbenches somewhere more convient, and although I know they're different, I'm just wondering if it's possible.

I tried the other two radios just out of curiosity *after* WIVS went online, just to check whether the FCC had started targeting unlicensed radio stations in the Commonwealth.  To be fair the Archie and Reg podcast is quite funny (in a completely irreverent and British way), so if ever you get bored with WIVS it's worth listening to.

There is no ID for the radio, well there is one, but it wouldn't help.

If you want to try to fix your radio, clean your save, then reinstall IVY.

Follow these UNSUPPORTED instructions on how to:

  1. Load your current save.
  2. Remove/recover any items you gave to Ivy that you don't want to lose (i.e. special/upgraded weapons/armour).
  3. Dismiss Ivy.
  4. Leave the current cell by walking or fast travel. The point here is to get far enough away that the current cell unloads. Sometimes loading into an interior cell from an exterior cell will work, but YMMV. If you're in Sanctuary, I wouldn't use the Root Cellar as it may not force Sanctuary exterior proper to unload. Go to Abernathy at least. Diamond City would be better.
  5. Save your game. <-- FIRST SAVE
  6. Exit game.
  7. Uninstall (completely) the Ivy mod. Don't just deactivate it.
  8. Enter game and load your last save. <-- FIRST SAVE
  9. I usually go to yet another location or wait/sleep 24 hrs or even both, then save your game again. <-- SECOND SAVE
  10. Exit game.
  11. Install and activate newly updated mod.
  12. Enter game and load SECOND SAVE.
  13. Go pick up your new toy and have a coke and a smile.

With all due apologies - anyone have an easy way to replace Ivy's hair?

Maybe by KS or Apachii?

At times it seems like Ivy has a bad fitting wig. Kind of like Trump.

Along those lines - anyone have favorite outfits for her?

This is what I do with lots of my NPC's on my pc.
Go to console click on the npc and get their id
then type SLM XXXXXXXX(the id) 1 and the menu comes up where u can change appearance including hair.

before using menu leave the console and return to game to edit in the  menu.

There is a good video on this on youtube - ignore the complicated ones this simple one works fine.

Ivy is absolutely awesome and working fine for me so far!

Ivy is listed BELOW Armorsmith Extended on my load order, but everything works fine so far, are there any details you could provide on that please?

There is a Doctor Who 'Easter Egg' when you make Ivy wear a gasmask. This means that keywords for the vanilla gasmasks are not added in AE if you place Ivy below that. If you place Ivy above it, then her Easter Egg won't work. So that's a choice players will need to make. :)

You can use FO4Edit to make a quick patch so ivy works nice with AE

I believe I have a bug report.

I am not positive, but I think there is some conflict with RSE and Ivy the over sexed companion (perhaps all companions?)

After I rested in a bed, and woke up with the "lover's embrace" she stopped re-equipping her clothes, no matter what I give her (thankfully doesn't affect her weapons, or she would be completely useless in combat.)

I am dual posting this under that modder's support thread. Hopefully one, or both of you can figure it out.

Cheers to two great mods that I am just trying to get to play nice together.

My unofficial confirmation is that bug existed before I ever installed RSE and Ivy. Pretty sure it's related to Four Play and it's associated community patch in general. Still happens to me sometimes too. Just redress her and any other companions/npcs. Or don't cuz you know... bewbs. At least you finally got your sexy on. Have fun!

Bethesda running a stream teasing some new fallout game, and i'm more excited on the release of the next version of this mod. I don't know if that says more about IVY or Bethesda...

Could you tell us if subsequent updates to the new version will require clean saves?

If you had 3.2 installed you don't need a fresh game for 4.0.

But you will want to start one, anyway, just so you can pick up on all of Chic Geek's gorgeous voice work. :)

Again, there is no 'technical' need to.

It's Fallout Online.  They're taking Elder Scrolls Online, giving everyone a PipBoy, and marketing it as a new game.

Edit: And they've revealed the new game is Fallout 76.  Apparently they've decided to skip Fallouts 5-75, so the release date will be around 2088.

I feel the same way.  LOL  So it's a combination of both.

Ivy is hilariously profane.  I laughed alot at Ivy's dialogue.  So wonderfully warped and perverse.

For the record, I think Ivy's original appearance is very inline with the style of the Fallout universe and that Reginald_001 did a great job in capturing that.

Having said that, here's how Ivy looks in my game.

Sorry about the jacket - I got tired of waiting for the better quality texture to load...
