@Proje Thank you! The skintone comes from the Better Body mod collection, I think. The sim is supposed to be Widowmaker from Overwatch (with some artistic liberties taken).

@Juliette Tango Thank you! I think there's a matching spider necklace in the Spooky Stuff pack which I don't have, so I also retextured a pendant to use one of her icons. In the end, I decided not to use it in the outfit to not go overboard with the theme.

 

For a reason unknown to me, some of the textures (e.g. makeup, shorts, accessory bottom...) lose their sharpness in-game when compared to CAS, even when at the same camera distance (!!). It bums me out a little because the details looked better in CAS.

She probably uses it to go fishing, or shoot any flies and mosquitoes (spiders kill flies, and she has really good aim?).

It took me a long time to accept this (it bothered me a considerable amount). I finally came up with a likely explanation; Rather than using CAS to edit sims as they will appear in-game, MAXIS enhanced CAS to look better in order to sell more games (keeping in mind that the free demo for Sims 4 is just CAS mode). It makes it frustrating though, to spend a lot of time in CAS, and not have it translate into the game properly.

 

Widowmaker looks great. Love the spider accessories / makeup. Very sexy!?

I always hated this but this is just how developers made the game. Of course I respect them for The Sims 4 but I would wish they know it's a really disgusting thing they did with loss of the textures quality in the live mode and never do such an ugly things later. We could have much more nice look of some small but signifficant details, such as pubic hair for example.

Thank you for confirming I'm not just seeing things with the texture quality degradation. I'd understand if it was the case for the lower graphics settings, but not for the highest where I'd expect preserving the maximum amount of details. Also, a properly implemented level-of-detail scaling should be de-facto unnoticeable. ?

@erplederp thanks for the feedback! I been trying some frustrating things so I decided to recharge with some simpler ideas ? loving the blue chick! ?? She's very cute and pleasing to the eye! ?

I've noticed that cas seems to use a different kind of lighting scheme, lots of bloom and ambient light, literally zero shadow, 

I've noticed this when trying to use reshade in CAS, 

For me, light is a huge killer for the 'solidness' of the sims when taking pics outdoors, they seem a lot more 2d compared to when they are indoors and it's why I have my game permanently in night time with a mod by Twisted mexi ?

Rebecca finally graduated, and has moved in a college friend that she really hit it off with.  

Olive McCloud.  The Scotch/Irish really shows, doesn't it?  lol.  She was in Rebecca's graduation ceremony, but now that I have control I see she hasn't graduated.  In fact, as you might expect from a random generated NPC that you've interacted with a lot, she's a hot mess.  I'm using cheats to sort the poor girl out, she's now got her degree and the skills you would expect her to have if she earned it.

Still looking for a hairstyle, since Rebecca has alpha hair they would look odd together if Olive still had Maxis match type hair.

 

Rebecca with the plumbob, I guess she tucks her hair up under any hat she wears.  Olive is on the right.

 

Olive moved in, stats fixed, just before I started working on her appearance.

 

Some improvement, but I'm not done.  As I took the shot, she asked Rebecca for sex on her own.

 

 

Their last couple of terms, they started hitting the bars together.  And picking up a guy together.  And if anyone knows why his dong looks like that, let me know.

Thank you! ? I really enjoy animation with physics rig ? took ages to get the right rotations for them to fly ?

I started this a while back but its not easy as I thought ? timing is sometimes tricky in groups to make it work in sync but without everyone being in time I'd that makes sense ??

If you're referring to it being black, it's because the skin tone does not support penises / pene. It has no skin texture in the section that the penis uses.

I did reverse his age a stage, one because with his cc he doesn't look at all like an elder, and also I didn't want him to croak in the middle of Rebecca's college career.  He was one of her professors.  If I run into him again, I'll change his skin tone-- and his green eyebrows.
