eviljanitor Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I would love to see the deathclaws worked on there my favorite out of all The breeder factions. I woulnt mind seeing them expand there operation near sloan Will post more latet currently out atm replying via moble phone
Guest user29 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I'm wondering if something more close by wouldn't be the next logical step for them. Turn 5 deatclaw eggs in to your alpha and get a force to go overtake cottonwood cove or nelson?
eviljanitor Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 That sounds interesting the only downside would be with nelson there are currently no female npcs. Cottenwood cove would probably be the better choice. Though there is the problem with the truck on the edge of the hill. If the back is opened everone in cottonwood cove dies.
Guest user29 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 It would be more of a kill all the legion and take over the town sort of thing. Initially. It wouldn't be hard to add a locker of slave girls you could volunteer for the cause.
eviljanitor Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Ahhhh then I woul suggest nelson then as well as the 2 neaby small legion camps. With those out of the way you Could strike camp forlone hope.
KainsChylde Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 The truck of radioactive waste is only a deterrent for humans. As abominations, deathclaws are immune to radiation.
fredia77 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 my thoughts is that riverside should be the key to the whole mod. You start with the camp and meet sam and then do that part of the mod. After the great escape, you get tossed here at riverside to conquer it. Then after you conquer it, a random stranger or the good old hint at the local bar about the next adventure. Like she can tell you about something strange happening at the california drive in movie that someone should check out. A escape prisoner from this farm talks about a crazy old man and cows. And yes i finally figured out your detailed walkthrough, so thanks.
Guest user29 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Something does need to link everything together, you're right.
KainsChylde Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Here's your link to the aliens. The scorpions, blowflies, bighorners, deathclaws, and wolves. Its all some big breeding experiment by the Zetas, trying to figure out just how genetically compatible earths species are with each other before they try interbreeding with us.
zippy57 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 That sounds a lot better than forcing someone to play one specific scenario to unlock the others, especially considering its entirely possible that it would be out-of-character for some PCs to take over Riverside.
saladboy21 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I'd say take over Nelson. there is more going on with other town.
ForlornForsworn Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 The concept of using aliens though would inherently remove the potential for creating a more interesting episode specific rationale for the various creatures' behaviors, though an FEV and/or radiation explanation as to how species are able to crossbreed would be an interesting one as the vanilla centaurs already show that FEV can forcibly integrate the genes of multiple species. Additionally, there is already the timeline conflict that can take place due to the fact that Mothership Zeta occurred before New Vegas and due to the aliens have been screwing with humans since the Renaissance (as indicated by the Samurai from Zeta). This in turn suggests that the experiments with abominations, and the like, have been going for a good deal of time thus ruling out the possibility of them experimenting with crossbreeding Earth species in order to test out the possibility of their own cross species experiments with humans.
zippy57 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I understand everything you're saying except the last part about timeline conflicts. Why can't they have just recently decided to start a new set of experiments?
ForlornForsworn Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Fallout New Vegas occurs in 2281 and Fallout 3 takes place in 2277. There is the other portion of the conjecture being objectionable on the grounds that the aliens have already been creating alien-human hybrids before New Vegas thus meaning they have no direct incentive to merely try to replicate an experiment which would have taken place at an earlier point in time. Also at the end of Zeta you seemingly destroy the alien menace by seizing control of one mothership and then using that one to destroy what appears to be the only mothership in the orbit of Earth, thereby removing the threat of aliens. With the conclusion at the end of the dlc implying that there is now a mothership in orbit that is under the control of humans whom have every desire to prevent the return of the aliens.
Miin Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 A quick question about Cayote den episode. Ive just met up with Fenris and I try and go out of the den and he approaches wanting to assert his dominance and sex ensues, after he stands up and dissappers? should that happen or have I missed something? I got the key to his den but.... what now?

Miin Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 He dissappers hence I cant see him hence I cant follow him
Guest user29 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I suppose it's possible he fell through the ground, you should probably reload and try again.
zippy57 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 There is the other portion of the conjecture being objectionable on the grounds that the aliens have already been creating alien-human hybrids before New Vegas thus meaning they have no direct incentive to merely try to replicate an experiment which would have taken place at an earlier point in time. Ever heard of peer review? Scientists replicate previous experiments all the time. Also at the end of Zeta you seemingly destroy the alien menace by seizing control of one mothership and then using that one to destroy what appears to be the only mothership in the orbit of Earth' date=' thereby removing the threat of aliens. With the conclusion at the end of the dlc implying that there is now a mothership in orbit that is under the control of humans whom have every desire to prevent the return of the aliens.[/quote']Key word "seemingly". I see no reason the aliens could not send more ships. Only mothership in orbit of Earth ≠ Only mothership. There's also no reason for them to not eventually send multiple motherships and destroy the commandeered one.
Miin Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Started over from scratch twice (thats a new game) and came to the same point and he dissappers, does not fall through ground Ive checked.
eviljanitor Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I would suggest somehow linking most of it through old world blues. It explains where most of the creatures came from. How they were created to an extent and factions responsible for their creation. (with the exception of bloatflies and bighorners)The explosion at big mountain could have ruptured and sent the contents of an f.e.v vat into the atmosphere covering the local creatures with small amounts of it.
Guest user29 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Then it's a mod conflict. I could play 20 questions to figure it out or you could post your load order.
Miin Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Thank you User29 that fixed it ^^. I lowered the sexout breeder in the loadorder and poof problem gone. Ohh and Im using alot of mods 130+ and yes I have even combined a few to get under the magic number in number of mods allowed before the game breaks, I dont combine anything related to sexout due to needing to update more often plus weird things happen if you do. And I use FNVEdit to make a merged patch. Last time I did a reinstall it took me around 10 hours to download everything and installing in the correct order to make everything work as it is supposed too work.
Miin Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Ohh yeah question: About the different mutations you can get, I know of the deathclaw one I think I read you can get one from coyotes as well? and I know of the bloatfly one. Can they be combined? and can you remove them as well? I know of the removal of the deathclaw one.
KainsChylde Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 In regards to the timeline vs. my suggestion, who says the experiment is recent? After all, if it was still ongoing and being monitored, it would be in a controlled environment instead of loose in the wasteland. The Zetas (I'm improving that name, btw, the species is never actually named as far as I know) had an experimental facility somewhere in the Mojave. During the events of Mothership Zeta, they abandoned the facility to reinforce the forces on the mothership. When they left, containment was breached and the creatures went wild. The current events in New Vegas are the end result of those escapees. With no cannon explanation of what happened between then and now, we're free to make one of two assumptions in regard to this mod: 1) Infiltration force here to recover the experiments to use for a counterattack. 2) Counterattack already took place, aliens won, and they're resuming previous operations. And in regards to the previous human/alien hybrids onboard the Zeta ship, they weren't what you could call successful were they? They weren't much better than feral ghouls. So why wouldn't they backtrack to square one to improve results?
