srayesmanll Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 ... also: i downloaded the new coreNG' date=' but ended up switching back to the old one and keeping the datapack, because when i activate the new core, all the sex animations stopped working in breeder content [/quote'] Remember, the NVSE extender is no longer included in the core, so you need to download and install that separately ( http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=5965 ). Hopefully that's the issue .
seyal Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 i have the latest NVSE and Extender, both installed, but the new core wouldn't work, the game played find, no CTD or anything, just sex animation wouldn't work, for example, if i tried to get the deathclaw mutation i would click the appropriate option and then the scene should play but doesn't, instead there like a 1 second pause, and i get the mutation and the deathclaw runs away, or when i breed with the alpha male, i get 3 eggs, but no animation, and the blackout to the ridge over riverside never happens, so i switched back t the previous core, and everything worked fine again

seyal Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 ok so upon furthur testing, i found out that its ALL sex animations are broke for me, not just breeder, and its only the new coreNG for some reason
Guest user29 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 sorry, but that's great news! I'm going to see if I can't crank out Claire's path. Probably going to release an update in a few hours.
eviljanitor Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 ok so upon furthur testing' date=' i found out that its ALL sex animations are broke for me, not just breeder, and its only the new coreNG for some reason [/quote'] Did you install if with the nexus mod manager or Fallout mod manager. The nexus mod manager wont install it correctly you have to use fomm to install it correctly.

The nexus mod manager wont install it correctly you have to use fomm to install it correctly. it is using NMM, but i havent had any problems using it thus far, i've gone through numerous updates with the NG/breeder/pregnancy/BR/sSCR files over time and havent had a problem so i'm about 99% sure it has nothing to with NMM, unless theres something in the data itself that prohibits the use of NMM, which im sure isnt the case
zippy57 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 If you're using NMM and haven't had any problems with it then you must be the luckiest person on the face of the planet. Go buy some lottery tickets.
seyal Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 people keep saying that NMM is the worst thing since AIDS and that it never works properly, i had plenty of problems with it with oblivion(which i started playing after FONV), but for FONV it's worked with no problems so far
srayesmanll Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 NMM installs it perfectly fine. Used it without issue for Oblivion/FO3/FONV (although for Oblivion I repackage some things, but it does work). I've used it since beta .15 and had no major issues with it. I think earlier ones had some issues and it's missing some features that FOMM had, but I've only 1 or 2 minor hiccups with it, and never an issue with any of the sexout mods (I always 7z them and manually drop the in NMMs Mod folder to install). Here's what I would suggest: 1) Make sure the extender files are where they are supposed to be - ../fallout new vegas/data/nvse/plugins/ - If not, download the newest version (v11), unzip the folder, and manually copy the files there. I know you said you've already done that but make double sure. 2) Uninstall the Core and the Data pack, the reinstall both. With NMM you'll get the "Update..." dialog with the second one you try to install, just make sure to hit "No". Hitting "Yes" will uninstall the first one and install the second (a feature if you are updating 1 version to the next, but a pain in the ass when installing related items). 3) Double check the extender files are there. I know I'm repeating myself, but it's always good to double-check.

As I noted above, I been using it since beta .15 and other than 1 FOMOD that kept failing for about 2 weeks, it worked fine. By the way, that 1 FOMOD that failed has been installing fine since version .18.
seyal Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 exactly, i've had no problems with it, and thats what i do, i install through 7zip, and check the folders in FONV data, to make sure everything is where its supposed to be, then i run BOSS, and FONVedit, to make sure there are no conflicts, like I stated before, i havent had any problems so far, and the current one its a game stopper for me, the new coreNG doesnt show animations for me so i use the old one and everything works fine now... when an update comes out that requires the newest core for the mod to work? i may have a bigger problem

Did you happen to install anything else? Some pose/dance mod, update any other sexout mod? I didn't see a load order posted from you, could you post one, please? Maybe there's a mod conflict that's only rearing it's ugly head with the new version, but worked fine with the old. Currently, the only new item I'm not running is the SCR that got updated today. 1 other thing, did you verify the animations are actually there? Should be in the ../data/meshes/characters/_male/. Look for the sexoutNG/SexAnims/etc folders.
seyal Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 i do have the anims, today i updated, breeder from 4.5 to 4.6 and SCR to 8.1 and pregnancy to 7.5, and the new core/data for NG, and i updated the NVSE and extender to their latest versions, at first i was getting a NVSE error message ingame, but after re-installing it and checking to make sure it was in the right place, it went away also is there a way to pose a load order from NMM?
Guest user29 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I usually don't mind off topic stuff in my thread but you should take this to the technical support forum. You'll find more help there.
seyal Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 to tell the truth, i'm fine playing the game the way it is now, if it works with the old core and i can still test stuff, i'll use that until i have to switch
Golgo13 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 You get the key to the queen's chambers upon escaping with Sam' date=' meeting the NCR squad down by the river, then defeating the ambush and Sam will talk to you and you'll teleport back to camp forlorn. [/quote'] Huh-- The NCR troops freaked out about some deathclaws, and, since they were upset, I shot at them with my grenade launcher as soon as they appeared. I immediately had a heap of dead deathclaws, which I suddenly realized hadn't been hostile, and I felt like kind of a dick for killing my friends for no reason. There was still one praetorian, which must have been outside of the blast zone, and the Alpha, which showed up several seconds later. I experimented shooting at the 10000 hp Alpha; but, even with 10 C-4 charges, 2 timed mini nukes and a Big Boy critical fired from Esther into his head, and me armored-up and buffed with every chemical in the game, it just runs up, swipes almost all of my hit points off, I fire Bozar with AP ammunition and my 100 guns skill into his head, and he swipes me down the rest of the way. If those NCR idiots did anything other than just stand there, it might help; but I'm just soloing the damned thing with an audience. I guessed I must be on the wrong track. I still think I'm on the wrong track, somehow... I'm just not sure how. ** The solution: I discovered that the deathclaws finally drew aggro if I used the "wait" command. So, I equipped Bozar, first; waited; the NCR troops started firing, which gave me the chance to fire without having the thing bear directly down on me. After it had taken some amount of damage, it retreated to the river. I was only carrying 6 Big Boys and 6 timed mini nukes (more than I've ever needed for anything). I finally finished it off with 5 of the Big Boys and 2 timed. It was too far away for me to tell how they were hitting, although I know that at least one Big Boy and one timed were criticals. If that thing just has an "off" switch on the back that makes it fall over dead, then I suppose that I really did it the hard way. Otherwise, it seems pretty hard to me. Then, again, if I weren't using Project Nevada, I suppose that I'd have a lot more hit points, and my gun would do massive skill damage.
catapsis Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Honestly, I just whip out tgm when dealing with the deathclaws or similar. The mod isn't really about showing your combat prowess.
Guest user29 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The alpha's health will be fixed in the next version. i test on a level 1 character and I had him set to scale with PC's level so I didn't catch it. But if you were level 50 you had a level 50 alpha with a stupid amount of health. He's set to level 5 in the next update. Killing the alpha triggers a dialogue with sam. For future reference, opening the console, clicking on something then typing kill will kill it instantly.

Especially if I need to do something from a Breeder-free save.
Guest user29 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Here's a stealth update. It's got everything in it for Claire i'm going to do up until the next stage. I don't want to tell you how you recruit her, but you do need to have either Sara or Miranda recruited before you can start on Claire. The girl's night drinking stuff should work well, but everything after that is untested and I need to know if it works. You will almost certainly need a fresh breeder save because I messed around with her AI packages. To help you test I've reduced the maturity time on the eggs and deathclaws to 3 days down from 7 days each. I've also put a very special NPC out in front of Riverside. So instead of having to run through the promontory each time you want to help me test, just start a clean breeder save, and talk to the guy in the power armor and he'll kick off the riverside episode for you. After talking to him, talk to the sheriff just like you normally would. Again, he's just standing around the gates to Riverside.
srenarc Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 A rather strange issue I've come accross is sometimes after waiting/sleeping for multiple days, almost every npc in riverside disappears. The only ones who remain are the sharrif, the militia people, and the miners. Also there are no dialouge options for anyone but Sara as far as recruitment goes.
Guest user29 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Its unlikely they disappeared. What I've noticed is if you update and dont start a clean save they'll all clump together in a house or near a fence or something. Recruitment is started by talking to an npc a little, which then unlocks dialogue with lucy about how to further recruit them. The paths sorta differ from there.
srenarc Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Hmm, I'll have to search all he houses then. But I did do a clean save, in fact I started a whole new game with the update. But I shall search for them. Thank you.
Guest user29 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 No need to search for them. Just do a breeder free save again. Like disable breeder, save, enable breeder and chat with the new NPC I added so you can skip some stuff and help me test. Once they're broken you can't really fix them. Though I did just hop on and wait 3 days indoor, and 3 days outdoors and didn't see anyone disappear. When something like this does happen in the future you need to first stop, try and repeat it, if you can repeat it tell me exactly how you did it so I can see if it's something I'm doing.
