Guest user29 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I'm thinking I'm going to let you call the girls and have a party all throughout the pregnancy. It would be a shame for all that coding to only be used once.

(just curious)

sweetsugar1 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 yes did that and its issue ... do u know if it have conflict with other mod methods !!
ONB82 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 One suggestion, if you don't mind. Two things that make the atmosphere of your mod so good, at least for me, are the dialogue and the popups. It was great to see how Sam got slowly corrupted in her changing dialogue or how Lucy explains her complete devotion to the tribe. I also enjoyed the dialogue with the Deathclaws before initiating sex. Â There is only so far you can go with 3 different sex animations, if the context is not interesting and atmospheric enough. You have a hand for writing good text and personally I would love to see more of it.
Golgo13 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I always try to help out anyone who's helping me. Whether my bumbling about adds up to "help" in the computer realm may be debateable; but, at least, it could present a worst case scenario of an idiot choosing all of the wrong choices, somehow. Â Just in case I've already derailed my train somewhere back down the line, I wound up in Riverside with my friendship level with Lucy at 50 (although I know I could have raised it by killing time going through more impregnation-sleep-eat-sleep-eat... cycles), and my friendship level with Samantha is 10, and hasn't moved, no matter what I've done. Â Moving along to other things, if the Legion camp and the two fire geckos just outside of town are important to keep alive for later, I found that virtually impossible. As you almost certainly know, when I teleported in, we were already within the Legionaires' detection range. Even though I immediately crouched and displayed "[Hidden]," Samantha and/or the Alpha didn't concentrate as much on their stealth stat as I did (or, it could be the fact that Samantha never seems to stop standing stock upright everywhere we go, or that the Alpha, despite the deathclaws' supposed stealth capabilities, is as tall as an house, and was standing upright at the top of the highest hill overlooking the town). If I was supposed to leave Samantha behind at the deathclaw cave, it didn't occur to me, especially since I kind of stumbled unexpectedly into the Riverside mod. I'm assuming that bringing her along is o.k., considering how easily it would happen to someone not familiar with how the mod is expected to unfold by the author, and because Samantha specifically mentioned wanting to have geckos squirming around inside of her. Â For the same reason, I did all I could to avoid killing the only two geckos I saw anywhere in the region. I took Samantha's earlier words as an hint, and made my way down, basically, in a beeline toward town. I presumed that Samantha would either find the nearest path and avoid the geckos, if such a thing were possible, or get stuck, and join me when I went through a doorway. But, I watched as a flaming Samantha turned a corner as one gecko fell dead, and I instinctively killed the other before it killed her. I concede that there could be a path I might be able to lead her down past the geckos that this idiot couldn't find. Â My initial suspicion that Samantha should be brought along became reinforced after learning about Sara. After resurrecting them, I tried following her past both geckos without killing them. I couldn't get past both; but, if I left Sara at home, I could sneak past the one near the cliff. I know that the animation is the important part that will lead to furter events, but Sara was walking right through both geckos without drawing aggro, and I'm wondering if that might not be something I'm supposed to be able to do with Samantha, later. I went back to a save before I began all of this to keep Sara from disappearing down a rabbit hole through which I could't follow. But, although I had believed that the basemant hadn't been built, yet, because, when I first went into the house, and when I first went through the Sara scenario, I couldn't get any interaction message with the hatch, I checked, again, after the second clutch of eggs, and could. Since the Sara scenario presupposes deathclaws in the basement, are all eggs supposed to be laid down there? Is it important to move existing eggs there? Â This will probably be added later, but it was inconvenient that there was nowhere for my toon to buy food, or a campfire to cook on in town. I know about the one in the Legion camp, but needing to hike that far seems unrealistic; in reality, my toon would build a fire in town if no one had needed to eat in all that time. (I think it's funny that stoves and hot plates in populated/settled areas can never be used as campfires for making food. Are they all broken or lack electricity/gas? Then, why aren't there campfires nearby? Do the locals run on nuclear power?) I hadn't ported back to Victor's shack to stock up on stored food, since I usually find so much while I'm out that I usually wind up bringing back more than I started out carrying, which is enough for about a week. I know that there's nothing preventing me from doing it, now; it just breaks the immersion I was going for when I installed Sexout in the first place (granted, this mod is hardly adding to the realism; but, it still maintains its own internal logic, unlike personal teleportation in a world where that's barely mastered 2-way teleportation with its most fantastic lost technology). I want to eat my normal food, since, for some reason, I'm getting messages that those vials are sometimes being consumed after I wake up, which is enormous overkill for the amount my needs require. Â I considered lengthening the pregnancy time to give myself more time to complete activities in the mod-- I don't want an houseful of deathclaws breaking out and tearing everything up while I'm still playing through it, and I don't know if they just go automatically after a certain number have been laid, hatch, and grow full-size, or if I tell them when it's Zero Hour. Â Betty and Veronica eventually popped up at the edge of the fence where the crops are grown, and Betty was hopelessly merged with bedrock on two successive days; the next day, she didn't appear, at all, and Veronica was stuck in the bedrock. Since they don't appear to do anything, yet, it probably doesn't matter what their bodies are doing, anyway. Meanwhile, the bighorns, at some point, respawned outside their enclosure, and stood between the fence and the dropoff. After about four says, they somehow found their way back inside. That's probably the fault of the game's design; I'm just describing the idiot's point of view. Â I haven't gotten that far into the mod, yet; but, since I seem to have a way of choosing paths that ensure that I never do, I just thought that I'd share the oblivious idiot's perspective, and be told if I were already totally off-track. And, if I'm more trouble than I'm worth, just let me know-- I have a pre-mutation save I can always go back to until you all finish. Just be tactful when you tell me.

Whether my bumbling about adds up to "help" in the computer realm may be debateable; but' date=' at least, it could present a worst case scenario of an idiot choosing all of the wrong choices, somehow.  [/quote']  It sounds like you might be over-complicating things. And your first mistake was taking Sam with you. She's not really ready for any of the episodes just yet including Riverside. I've been focusing on laying the main bits of the quest.  Basic needs are something I add near the end you are correct.  You can kill any legion soldiers (sam is hostile towards them because she's NCR) and geckos. I have a special gecko that won't be hostile towards you that deals with Sara. I think you're remembering Sam's dialogue about finding geckos, I haven't implemented her pregnancies yet. She's really very basic right now. She's only got wait and follow packages. I'm going to get to her.  Once reaching P2 pregancy Lucy will have a dialogue topic about having a nest prepared for you eggs. You should get a pop up notification. If for some reason you miss the notification the nest still appears. After laying your eggs you need to collect them and then put them in the nest. From there Lucy will talk to you and you can progress from there.  NPC's sinking into the rock shouldn't be something that happens anymore. Were you testing version 4.8 or something earlier?  Hope that helps  One suggestion' date=' if you don't mind. [/quote']  Evil has a lot of fluff dialogue (I added some for Sara as you noticed already) and I'm going to write some for the characters during the orgy as well.  There's also going to be a little game once everyone is impregnated where you need to keep the suspicion level of the town down. So if it seems a little sparse right now, that's because it is. I'm doing more important things  yes did that and its issue ... do u know if it have conflict with other mod methods !!   Mature as in get big. The only way you'd have invisible deathclaws is if you didn't wait 3 days after they were born for them to mature. Since they were already in the basement to begin with they can't be invisible.
ouchtime Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Erhm... unable to test because when my deathclaws hatch they are hostile to Lucy and chase her out of the house so the whole town kill the DC
Guest user29 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I took them out of the deatchlaw faction. Ironically that's what's causing them to attack in some games. I'll put them back in for the next update.
wildlife Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 The "characters wandering off into nowhere"-issue seems to be fixed, now I just have the problem that Lucy decides to flee once the eggs hatch. Also, the eggs still glitch through the ground - this can be avoided by giving birth on the desks, but it's still annoying. Â Though for all my nitpicking - this is a fun mod and I appreciate the work you put into it
Guest user29 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Update34: Fixed Lucy fleeing in terror from the deathclaws when they hatched. Also a little other faction work. Let me know if the deathclaws attack someone they shouldn't be.
Guest user29 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 can anyone confirm lucy isn't being ambushed?
eviljanitor Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 can anyone confirm lucy isn't being ambushed? Â I just tested the baby deathclaws there not attacking lucy. Will continue testing to see if they attack anybody else. (edit) Checked all the way thru to the deathclaw orgy no problems with deathclaws attacking anybody so far. (unless you count sexual attacks during the orgy)

Guest user29 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 If I can do it, it's going to be something that's repeatable through their pregnancy just for fun.
Evilrunner Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Would be great if you can get that done. Â Starting to think up some dialogue now anyway for post Orgy. I can think up dialogue for Molly, and Betty and Veronic if you want. Just need a rough overview of how the sequence.
Guest user29 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I'm going to progress them through the stages up to p5. Near the end of the pregnancies lucy's going to get a new topic about birthing, and then everyone's going to give birth together in the basement at a set time.  Also during the pregnancies I'm going to put in sorta of a game where with each stage of pregnancy the town gets more and more suspicious. it's the player's job to reasure everyone that there isn't anything naughty happening (relatively speaking) If you want to think of some confrontations for that I'd appreciate it. If you need more than that just ask.  After the eggs hatch the player is going to have to feed them. I might make a respawning heard of wild brahmin or something they can go and hunt.  The take over is going to be err rather straight forward  After the takeover I'm planning on some public impregnation of the girls you didn't recruit. Then I'll need some ideas of what to do with the town afterwards. I'd like to turn it into a new nest.

Well you could have the player create a path to the old nest. (useing the mine and some explosives)It would allow the deathclaws easier access to the town and pose less chance of them being spotted by ncr or legion scouting parties.
Guest user29 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Molly won't be pregnant by then. And I did think about the cave but I think it's too far away to connect them.
srenarc Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 You could "implement" the teleporter from old world blues. It'd be a stretch story wise, but just put a beam of light in the promontory and one in the cave and link them like a door so you and deathclaws could come and go as you please. But good luck fitting that into the story. As for feasible ideas, I got nothing. Â As far as the fate of the town, you could have a repeating quest to venture out, capture new girls and bring them back for breeding. But that'd fill up the town after a while, and it would get dull after the 5th one. Maybe there could be hunting quests where you take a small group of deathclaws to some nearby legion or ncr camp and kill everybody. Maybe expand your territory? Just throwing ideas out there.
Schalli1980 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Well, i updated to the latest version and started the deathclaw episode again. After woke up in the cave, the deathclaes killed everyone except me in there. I think thats something you need to fix
Mastodon Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Oh, and why not to set essential characters... well... essential?
Guest user29 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Well' date=' i updated to the latest version and started the deathclaw episode again. After woke up in the cave, the deathclaes killed everyone except me in there. I think thats something you need to fix [/quote'] Â That's a faction issue I can't (or at least have no idea how to) fix. you need to start a fresh game and then go to the promontory.
Golgo13 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I re-started the deathclaw thing from a clean save, waited until I was P2, Lucy never said anything to me, didn't react if I talked to her (except with the "I need to get going"), and I'm pacing 'round and 'round the cave trying to find that nest I guess I missed the other times I played through this. The only features I can find are the couch, the mattress and the refrigerator. Everything else just looks like natural variations in the floor surface to me, which explains how I missed it the other times. Where is it supposed to be, and what is it supposed to look like? I'm pretty sure that I'd recognize a nest if I saw one; but, since I'm not seeing anything, I'm not ruling out the possibility that I'm wrong about that.
