Meanwhile, back in Fort Dawnguard ...

 

 

I'm using Light Placer to add lights to the glowing sigils on the jewelry. The placement is a bit hit and miss at the moment, but I think I'm getting there.

 

It's not helped by there seeming to be a limit of 16 lights per actor. So the feet get one light each, which is why it's lighting up the ground and the tops of her feet. It's a work in progress.

(I found her just after Helgen walking unescorted back to Falkreath, which I suppose is the nearest Imperial controlled city. I'm probably going to have to jump through some hoops if I get as far as the Thalmor Embassy, but some chances you have to take when they're offered...)

I applaud you for taking advantage of the situation. I normally pick her up after the "peace conference" at High Hrothgar. She is, as you say, unescorted and easy prey.

I turned the wrong way out of Bleak Falls, and ended up in Ilinata's Deep and then Brittleshin Pass.

 

So since I was here, I thought I'd harvest a couple of Saints Bandits from the camp outside.

 

 

They seem to be adjusting nicely to their new life.

I'm in Fort Sungard, teaching the Forsworn proper manners.

 

 

I wouldn't mind, but I just set out to clear Bilegultch Mine for Sidgeir. Then I set out on a quick nocturnal werewolf prowl before heading back, and I think I ended up clearing half the Forsworn redoubts in the reach, as well as killing a spider for Calcelmo. Still haven't got back to Sidgeir yet.

 

This is turning into a really weird playthrough.

Solid stone construction requires diligent work when one does not have an industry capable of mass producing stone structures. The place also has a central position in the city, just a few steps away from the bard college. That is prime real estate.

Now here's a thing you don't see every day: Saint Arob of Dushnikh Yal!

 

 

She's helping me test a new collar. There's a glass capsule containing a daedric sigil which bonds when held against the throat. The collar then manifests as an orbiting ring of fiery runes, proclaiming:

Unfortunately, I'm still trying to get the bugs out of this particular enchantment, so it's orbiting above her head, rather than around her throat. Still, it makes for a striking image.
