This is the reason why profiles exist.

I have three separate profiles, plus the one I had shattered skyrim on. The one I'm working off of right now is a basic, stable setup with around 600 mods that have already been meticulously patched, and work flawlessly. That's my usual starting point when I create a new mod list to try out all the new stuff I've been looking into. The reason I spend so much time rebuilding mod lists is the combo of northern roads and lux via. I can't live without it, but I'm having to constantly make patches for it when I add new mods that alter the landscape, or add new settlements. Anyone who has ever tried using those two mods on LE will tell you what a nightmare it can be to make them work.

Rebuilding for the umpteenth billionth time. Old build is too heavy on resources, dragging me down to 30 fps,  28k draw calls in some places, and as much 2d upgraded to high poly 3d as possible, coupled with hi rez everywhere. Sensibly on the textures, terrain 2k, large objects 4k, mountains 8 x 16k with all bodies being 4k too, but individualized nearly per npc. And script heavy too. Haven't been able to run Dyndo in a while bc of the weight on resources. Plus, dedicated SMP build. Hevi af even though optimized to the hilt with occlusion maximized per populated cell.  Put that profile to the side for at least a couple more hardware generations.

18 more buildings, some very detailed with 38 extra inhabitants around a long sprawling Riverwood will do that though. Otoh, the back side of the idyllic giant mashup...

But damn if it don't hand out a beat down on the hardware.

I've never noticed much of a difference between 2k, and 4k textures when it came to landscape, buildings, etc. Doing everything in 2k was the best decision I ever made, because everything still looks great, and my frame rate doesn't suffer for it.

Playing a male character for the first time in a long while, while testing out my new mod list. I'm really starting to like the Southbound Scouts armor.

I always liked Sofia as a follower, so I gave her a new body, my custom female skin, and some new armor.

Also, I think it's time to redo the rain drops that come with R.A.S.S because they look like crap.

O look, a cave! she said. I wonder whats inside! she said. Well, the cave was falmer and chaurus infested, got tentacle attacked and defeat raped

But we persevered and got new armors. Falmer armor for Sofia and I got a sticky slimy tentacle one. Now I have to make a brew

Question for those of you who know about such things: how come my screenshots often look much darker when I post them than they do in my game or on my desktop?

I think we need more bandits chilling with weed, I guess there would be a lot less annoying radiant quest.  🚬🥴👌

This is how I've been 'playing' in Skyrim lately. I thought I had done everything that the game had to offer, and then I got addicted to another part.

Once I get around to actually play a character again, having this will be very interesting.
