i dont want a fight, i want to use mods that require aaf but i dont want to join a chatapp just to download a file while there is an easy way to avoid that.

and before someone comes with "your data is already out there" it has nothing to do with my data, it has to do with the systematic system behind needing to join a chatapp to download a file instead of having a link to the file to be able to download it without joining the chatapp.

maybee i am a bit oldbrained there but in my eyes a chatapp should primarily serve as one and not as a mainstay for filesharing, i already get the chills when i read that yet another forum did close down to solely move over to discord or if some event for a game is only avaible if you have things like facebook, instagram and the sort of sites.

At first, it's not a chatapp. There are lot of communities, who using Discord for mod sharing. Yes, and these mods are not in nexus or other sites. If your both hands are left and you don't know how to left server or delete your discord account, after downloading mod, it's not our fault. You simply cannot go against your principles and that's all. No one owes you anything. And AAF/TFM discord servers is not only for bloody AAF sharing - there are AAF troubleshooting, mod ideas, mod help and many other helpful things. And as I said before - AAF team can keep their mod where they want. It's your problem, that you are soooo dramatically against Discord and "Oh no, please, not Discord!"  And about traffic in their channel...muahhh... Don't be silly...

Just sign up using a different email address. You’re an adult. Signing up for Discord is nothing compared to finding a job, supporting a family, and dealing with a mortgage.

what part of "this issue has been discussed and resolved" did you not understand?

 

a. you have bought nothing

b. you did not work on AAF

c. as far as i know you've contributed absolutely nothing to this community

d. you proved to us that you know this subject is not welcome in this thread
 

given a, b, c and d, what makes you think that you are entitled to any influence on this matter at all?

ive already told you this: your personal concerns do not mean shit to me. and why do you think they should? have you secretly sent me a payment? have you made some mods for fo4 that earn you some respect? do you dedicate any time to troubleshooting for others or moderating?

 

don't want to use a "chatapp"? whoop-dee-doo! I guess that means you don't get AAF. makes no difference to me. i prefer to reserve my efforts for the users who don't think its too much to ask that i host my work wherever i feel like and are still appreciative of getting free work. there are way more of them than there are of you. otherwise, i simply wouldn't work on this at all.

for me that is just providing a way to reach and download the file and not hosting a file as in this case its already hosted in your place of choice and providing the link would just be a way to reach the file.
