I started with just a single breed of dogs (whippets) for v1.18, but more breeds and other animals coming in future version. - Optional bestiality module (to avoid Patreon's attention, I will refer to bestiality as 'interspecies' on all my Patreon posts) with a few animations for the first dog breed. This is disabled by default so to turn it on, Ctrl + M to open the mod manager and tick the appropriate box - Update the API documentation for modders - Bug fixes and minor improvements

mrxenovers Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Another reason for Background support Addon is for example in my game I'm doing a Car mod thing and I'm not sure to what extent Car-culture immersion is already in Life Play but I'm working on Racing interactions where the player can street race (crime) and earn money. I'm not sure if this is already implemented but if not Im also looking into a "show off car" interaction where depending on which vehicle you have determines the chances women/potential partners approach you and to what extent they are willing to go with you (like for lower end cars you might get approached but the npc will be friendzone and offer to be a contact; whereas cars like the lambo/expensive cars girls will be willing to be companions or appear naked or have immediate sex on the spot, Also during the showoff interaction depending on the car it shows it in the background as scene background . I want each car to have its own racing/speed stats with the option to add mods to the few select cars available (currently) and before each race interaction player has to do a "car checkup" where there is a lesser chance for the "car damaged" scene to occur which removes players purchased mods depending on the severity of the damage (randomized within maybe 4 damage varities that remove more or less expensive parts) 1

Just adopt a dog first then you can: - Go into contacts menu (shortcut P ), find the pet > click 'Take out for a walk' - Spend a lot of time at home doing anything (Except sleeping and napping) Both of these will trigger a fair few of the scenes For scenes triggering guide, just look into LifePlay/Content/Modules , all the lpscene files in there can be opened with any Text editor, in there, you'll see the triggering conditions for each and every scene

I was playing about with the submission/dominance slider and noticed that a 100 submission dealing with a -100 submission seemed to have no real effect on the game. I was thinking there should be some chance for a submissive to not be able to refuse a Dom based on the numbers of the two characters. I toyed around with a spreadsheet (see below) and came up with these two formulae to give the player a chance to say yes or no. ((B1+SQRT(ABS(B1)))/100)/-2 to calculate the dom's influence ((B2-SQRT(ABS(B2)))/100)/2 to calculate the sub's influence. I had thought that (when given a chance) saying yes would increase your submission and saying no decrease it when it came up. ---- Can there be a way for a player to be forced into prostitution or porn, or at least get a pimp? ---- This one may be a bit too complex... but will or do the cities have zones like 'slums', 'uptown', 'the seedy side' where the events that can trigger will change? Like more assaults in the slums, more rapes in the seedy side ect... Thanks again for the game. 1

Now that's been released that content.. i want to believe that you will add other animals too since there are some kind of "interesting" options in the world of the Zoo to try and hmmm you know. Or it will be just the Domesticated ones? if you think about it, by adding the others, you could also create a new job in a Zoo *wink* kinda normal but with some.. extra's from time to time but i saw an option about catching it with the Dog... that options means you could get a scene with a threesome with the dog? or it's just an option to saw again a scene just with X character and the dog? Even more, i give you an idea... When you are outside your Home or from some buildings.. (if you go to the park or somewhere.. don't know) you could add a option about getting Raped by a Dog... or Multiple Dogs... hehe.. Just an idea, maybe your level of intoxication is the chance that when selecting out of multiple options, a different one is selected instead of the one you choose? So like, you can select to "Leave her house" when dropping them home, but if your intoxicated, there's a chance that "Stay with her" is selected instead. Just a suggestion. Also, has anyone actually made a mod for LifePlay / Is there a list anywhere? I've searched around a bit but couldn't find any 1

In any case there remain a lot of work on UI to make it interesting because, for now and it will be more and more heavy, the left/right button to choose an action is nearly unuseable, with too more choices. Another problem concerns the contact and mainly the type of contact indicated right of the name. It mix different type of datas so we easyly loose some informations : - I hire an employee, it indicate that it is my employee - She become one of my girlfriend and I don't see anymore on the contact screen that it's an employee of my business You may indicate elsewhere all the status she have (for exemple before the siblings) M2p

raeleesv Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Okay, newly downloaded and have been playing a few hours. I've read the entire thread here before I installed so had some idea what I was in for. I know there's a lot done and a lot still in development. Figured I'd jump in with both feet and give it a try. Now that I have, here's my two cents (bear with me, I'm typing as it comes to me so thought-process might not be linear. Apologies in advance. And made some suggestions bold, so a tad easier to find in that wall of text maybe): Despite reading all 14 pages here before I booted up, I REALLY struggled to get off the ground. While free mode essentially is an excellent idea, I had NO idea WHERE to start. I know I had to find accommodation and a job, but hovering my cursor gave me lots of business names and no indication what they were. I had to guess by the icons (which in this instance really is like reading a map with no legend) so needless to say I was, and continue to be, pretty lost. So I jumped in quick start. Was given a male avatar. After some clicking was able to change him to female. I altered the stats without knowing really what any of them were or "did" (Again, a legend here of some kind may help - even hidden behind a ? button or a pop-up I could close or re-open if I need; case in point; children. Do the numbers mean ability to raise or desire for them?) As I edited my body shape I was left standing there naked as I had no idea how to access inventory to change into clothes. Took me starting a second game to figure that out, but then I accidentally deleted the clothing options with no way to undo or reset. That led to starting a third game (good thing I saved a preset character in all this!) and more character editing. The sliders are excellent in number and cover some incredible detail - but that list is verrrry long. Breaking that up to subsets would be good, for example: HEAD, EYES, NOSE, MOUTH, TORSO (including shoulders, hips and ass), LEGS (including feet), etc. Having so many detailed options is great, but after the 10th slider and another 20 to go it starts feeling overwhelming and like a mammoth task with so many options before me I just didn't bother getting to or I could be there all damn day. Also as a suggestion; it would be fantastic to have a way to turn left OR right when rotating in edit, the constant click-click-click to get them to turn full circle in one direction every time was frustrating. Even a reset pose button perhaps would be handy. Anyway, so I finally edited my character and returned to the world map. But I didn't know how to move. There's pop-ups blending over text, meaning, when I cam over something I'd get a pop-up giving me the business name PLUS another pop-up which from memory was some kind of game guide. Great to have the pop-ups but difficult to read when they're of similar colour and on top of each other, so I'm sure I missed information there that I couldn't get back. Alt-Tabbing out of the game, I opened the Docs folder/controls .txt and finally started getting the hang of moving around the map with the default WASD keys. Returning to the game and looking in the menu I started tweaking game settings (and I sincerely do love that aspect, allowing character preference, some awesome options there!) Then I tried to load another map. None were installed save the default. I forgot to install them *facepalms*. It would also be really great to know what those stats mean in the lower right corner of the screen beside the avatar icon: by that I mean do they change like The Sims needs (green = good, yellow/red = needs work), or is that just the level that increases and decreases depending on scenes you trigger? (Nevermind, figured it out). Zooming in during sex is awkward though, and pressing letters opens up the search menu. Frustrating the first few times without a guide and having to learn as I went. Question: how do we speed up sex? The info pop-up was at the start now I can't find it and can't remember. A means to open that reminder would be good (again, maybe a ? button could click on or the like, idk). One thing I didn't account for was the fact that, so far, it's been dead silence since there's no sound (so far, anywhere, at all). I'm guessing that will come when the game is at polish stage? Another thing that just came to me: when I was in the quickstart game and changed from male to female, I hovered my cursor over the map and found HOME (23 mins) that had a red lock icon over it (man, that place was hard to find, and accidental!) I also found one that said WORK (11 mins). I'm assuming the house belonged to the pre-set male character (so I didn't need to find one, since by default this random character had one), and that he wasn't supposed to access it since it was during work hours? What do the numbers mean? Regardless the lock, I clicked home and was still able to visit there. (Ignore this, I forgot I had to 'arrange viewing to actually start living there). Anyway I managed to trigger a scene by pimping myself out to see what would happen. I didn't realise I had female attraction on (I forget the specific wording), and TBH its really hard to see that tiny check box beside preferences depending on the scene background, nearly impossible. Least FPS is solid and there's been no noticeable lag that I've seen so far. So by and large this game has HUGE potential, and I really cannot wait to see where it goes. There does seem to be a lot of content and thought behind it (once I manage to get the hang of it, which is hopefully going to be pretty soon). I know graphically there are kinks to be eventually ironed out, especially with the clothing and hair styles. I'd be happy to forgo the visuals for some solid game play assistance at the start, especially for those like me who are feeling pretty lost, frustrated, and a tad overwhelmed. But I shall persevere (and added my meagre Patreon support) because I think this is going to be something special. And a huge thanks for all the hard work you've managed to put in to get even this far. I can't mod for crap, so my hat goes off to you! Thanks again! EDIT: A bug (I'm assuming?) is whenever I change my color dress to anything but the default it saves until a scene is triggered, and then returns to default color. For example, I wore the beach dress (which is blue by default). I changed it to black. Moved around town. Triggered a scene. During the scene the dress is again blue. Then when scene ends I'm moving around in a blue dress again and have to go back in to change back to black. EDIT #2: After testing with the standard dress, at least it seems to retain its color choice. I chose black for that (dress) and after triggering a scene and moving about town it's still black, so for some reason the beach dress isn't retaining color options so far but the standard dress is. Also, I'm sure someone mentioned it previous (but after 14 pages and 5 hours of this now I'm a little braindead); how do we find our favorites (landmarks)? I rented an apartment, went to the store, then couldn't find home despite favoriting it. How do we find favorites again? I had to give up and start over... The home icon stays up and I can see it so long as I am camming nearby, but if I'm not in the vicinty I can't see it, and the work one just doesn't show at all unless I have my cursor hovering over it. I have to guess where I think work is to find it. Maybe an icon or arrow or something that signifies these regular landmarks (that's not the same as others to help distinguish it) would be handy because right now I'm losing more time camming around trying to find work or home FFS. ANOTHER UPDATE: Okay been playing for 5 hours straight now. I think I've got the basics sorted out. Phew! A few issues I've come across to add to the few above. In one scenario with the incest setting on I had the option to go into my relative's room and touch him while he slept. Then the scene changed. The bosses son wanted me to go to a party. I said no. Then there was another scene straight after that where I got to see my relative's phone/browser history. In short, three scenes all practically one after the other that didn't make any sense. The first (my attempt to touch) didn't conclude, or felt like it was ignored/irrelevant. Had such promise too... Another scene I was sleeping when I had a scene with a neighbor playing music too loud. I had the option to ignore so I did and went back to sleep. Only my avatar now kept her eyes open (where previously in the lower right hand corner box her eyes were closed prior to this scene for sleep). So the eyes remaining open while she's supposed to be asleep is a glitch, I'm guessing. Not a huge deal but there nonetheless. Also after testing the 6th game the dress not retaining its recolor option is back again. Not just the beach dress this time, but the standard dress now. So seems like the color the player chooses for the dress/clothing only lasts a few scenes, if that, before reverting back to its original/default color. I really need to take a break now and stop editing this post, but now I've played the game a while I'm starting to really enjoy it! Fantastic job! 2

I think for me, the biggest thing that could be improved (that was touched on in the post right above by raeleesv but not really related to my suggestion) is the map. Sometimes icons would just disappear for no reason and I had no way to get them back except by a new game. But a bigger thing for me was... The map really looks like looking at an archaic google map. I probably wouldn't expect this to become where you can physically walk around like a sims game (which be cool but I dunno how feasible that would be in a one man team. I imagine the complete opposite of easy lol)...but having a map (like in a screenshot posted recently on page 13) look like that would probably make me come back and play a bunch more. It would be a ton easier to identify buildings and make the game look so much nicer. I'd rather have that than the better looking characters that have occasionally been shown on the patreon page. Overall though I still loved the game, though did seem to kinda run out of things to do...but I did play a ton so heh (and game is free so hey I got a ton of time for a free game that is actually really indepth) and besides my few months I could afford patreon I'm still glad was able to support for that time. 1

raeleesv Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 After another day of game play here's some suggestions: * Change the map (as several have suggested) - even cartoonish style (as much as I hate that) to differentiate between buildings. After a while all the grey boxes just blur into one lump. Might also help players recognise their home/work/favourite landmarks more easier if you don't want to add more obvious visual tags (and ruin your vision) over said lots. (Though I do like the way the map/ground changes color depending on the time of day, orange for dawn/dusk, blue/dark grey for evening etc). * A map legend. In my opinion this is definitely needed. Toggle it behind a (?) button or the like so it doesn't block the screen, and those that don't need the help don't get spammed. * Please can we have an undo button when dressing? Having to start a new game because I accidentally press the button twice (in the early days before I knew delete was a permanent thing, with the item never to be seen again) is a pain in the butt. Added to that, can we have a way of accessing the inventory from the UI? * Expand on the UI in the lower right corner. I know there's some similarity there with The Sims (and you're probably trying to avoid copying which I get) but the writing on the stats as they increase/decrease (as you hover cursor over them) is very hard to see when you have poor vision (or like me don't wear your glasses). I know you can't accommodate for everyone, but it's just a suggestion. In general personally the UI is clunky with too much emphasis on the avatar's constantly swaying head and not enough on the stats that "matter". I know earlier suggestions were to make the UI less complex. To me it feels too simple, and new players (like me) are completely in the dark on what the needs all mean and how best to fill them. Again this is where some kind of legend system might help. You already have them in place to a degree (glass icon for bar, music icon for nightclub etc) so a hover text or toggle that suggests how to fill needs with these icons might help? For example, hover the cursor over the arousal need, get a hover text with a few words saying what it is, and some symbols/icons (like the lips from the brothel) that coincide with the map on how to fill need. * Not sure this is something we need to mod ourselves individually, but sleep/energy/mood doesn't deteriorate anywhere near close to arousal state. For instance, my character went to a brothel, work, bathed, did light exercise, house work, went to the prison, back to work, masturbated, pimped self out and had sex with at least 6 different people, had 6 alcoholic drinks in a row, and still energy/mood was at around 98%. On the other hand it took watching 2 YouTube videos to change arousal state from 0% red to 60% green. These inconsistencies to me felt glaring, almost like whatever else you do in the day doesn't matter half as much as sex does. (Yes I know this is a sex game, but it's tagged as a life simulator, I'd expect exhaustion to make the mood plummet if nothing else. Just my opinion. * When companions are with us they bear no relevance on the story/outcome. For instance my character visited the prison with her uncle to practice her sneaking skill (and I still have no idea what that was but sounded like something different to do). My character was grabbed and raped by an inmate. Uncle disappeared for the scene and "did nothing". He may as well have not been there/felt like the game forgot he was there. Surely the companion would alter the outcome perhaps stop the situation altogether, or depending on relationship have the option to join in, even to act as "look out" while prisoner attacked. Just a thought. Added to that, there was no change to character's stats after that. It was like "damn, I'm being raped" and a second later "my boss' son calls and wants me to attend party with him"; there's no impact whatsoever. Mood didn't drop. Nothing. Kind of anticlimactic and pointless. Just a random sex scene for the sake of it. * Relationships. Maybe it becomes more apparent the longer you play and I just haven't seen it yet, but would be nice to know if we're building any kind of rapport with anyone we meet or if it's something we have to mod as we go by modifying stats. I know in real life we have no luxury to know what anyone feels about us, so I get why there doesn't seem to be any implementation of that here (or if there is and I just can't see it yet, maybe ALT+P? I can't remember the add family/NPC page off the top of my head or even if it's there or I just imagined it), but I'd like to play the game organically and have my choices matter instead of just mod my way through. * Apartments don't seem to serve much purpose beyond trigger scenes (since needs to rest/sleep/mood etc don't really deteriorate or bear relevance to a daily life kind of game play like The Sims). It would be good one day to get to a point we can furnish places to our tastes and move about in a 3D or even 2D environment, but since that's a long way off, it would be good to at least be able to choose the backdrop of our apartments since they're basically all the same regardless how much you pay. At least some variation because so far I haven't seen that yet. Same for work; it's the same backdrop. Variety would be good, option to select even better. * Repeating what I said last night; break the morph sliders to subsets: Head, Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Torso, Legs (or something to that effect) so you're not stuck with one massive list of sliders and no idea what they specifically change (even if they generally state the body part first, I don't want to open Google to see what each subsequent muscle group means/where it is). And PLEASE give us a reset or undo button for the morphs/sliders - desperately. And again, the ability to rotate left OR right, and reset stance there too. The constant clicking in one direction only is frustrating. * Again for the sake of clarity: a (?) button at the start/map screen players can access for basic help/guide/tutorial. Toggle to show/hide so won't take up space on the map. Because once those (i) pop-ups go I feel lost if I didn't remember them all and never see them again. * Variation on RP scenes. Okay, this is probably just nit-picking now, and I'm almost certain it will evolve as the game does. For now while there's a range of scenarios already available, it doesn't take too long before you start getting the same ones. And it really does all feel like a 'choose your own adventure' book with little repercussion (beyond pregnancy that I have seen so far) or sense on when they occur. For instance when I'm sleeping my uncle wants to show me a photo of a dog on his phone. How about wait until I'm awake! Nope, I sleep, my uncle shows me his phone, and my UI tells me I'm still asleep... random! Doing housework which the companion can "help" or I get the option to be annoyed at his inability to help. Sleeping or napping and waking up to feel his hands on me and I have the option to be repulsed and angry or lead to sex. Having a bath or using the bathroom and I see him watching (similar to changing clothes scenrio we already have), where I ask him to join, get pissed off and tell him to stop watching, etc. Even at the bar have a companion buy me a drink or meal and then get mad because he expects sex in payment and I either agree or turn him down, or leaving the bar when I get jumped. Just throwing ideas out there... * Thoughts and memories. Thinking outside the box here, but when a particular scene happens, are we able to/would we be able to have a memory/thought of it in the form of perhaps a thought bubble above our UI avatar's head? When my character was raped, would have been nice to have her at least think about it. Remember it. Lose a good percentage of her stats (since it would/should have been traumatic), and gives me the player something to work towards in building them all back up again? Just have cause and effect for at least a few days anytime something significant happens that our avatar remembers and has actual repercussions for longer than one scene? Since there are already separate "pages" for adding family members and Inventory, why not have one for memories? Major events are listed on a memories page so we as players can look back at the choices we've made, even have the ability to "share" or build some kind of story from it, something like that. (Loosely thinking of Detroit: Become Human timeline for choices like this, doesn't even need images just something basic will do). * Ability to rotate camera horizonally as well as vertically during sex scenes. Self explanatory, but the inner pervert in me would love to zoom in on the money shot and is currently unable to see much depending on position (also may help the current clipping that happens when watching someone masturbate and I cam in only to have their body disappear into the background image). * Cum layers after sex finishes/cumming. Also self explanatory. It would make the option we already have to bathe necessary then. Plus may add to arousal levels if wearing cum (or decrease it, depending on the scenario), or effect work and social stats if for example you show up wearing a full facial bukkake publically (because in real life people judge!) Just a thought. I am looking forward to playing more, but even after almost 2 straight days of playing now I'm starting to get to a point where I'm not sure what else there is to do in it that I haven't already done. I'm sure there's plenty, and I'll be honest I do love the incest option so kudos for that Anyway that's all for now. I'm sure there's plenty, and I'll be honest I do love the incest option so kudos for that This ^^^ Adding a simple cum overlay that dissapears after a while like Oblivion's LAPF mod or a mesh inside the mouth or over the face like the Oblivion Tamago Discharge mod would be simple to implement yet greatly increase immersion and sex appeal to this game; the sex scenes are so anticlimactic when they end in nothing. Better camera functions would be greatly appreciated too, sometimes the camera is really wierd when you're viewing first person through a character's eyes and you cant properly see what's going on, better panning functions would remedy it. Even just adding more backgrounds during scenes would also help the game visually alot too, but I do agree that more RP/trigger scene variations would be awesome!! A thoughts and memories function would GREATLY increase the RP and sex appeal of the game as well, Oblivions LAPF mod had a sexual diary, it was pretty simple but reading made you horny and immersed you even further. 2
raeleesv Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Had two issues last night: First, when my character was at work, an "event" happened where the RP text gave me the option to show off my athletic ability. The screen then showed my avatar, and I think it was 5 avatars standing behind me in a line. Out of all of us I was the only one naked. I was at work. Not involved in a sex scene at the time, just working as usual. Being naked (without a sex scene) had to be a glitch since my avatar was the only one out of all of us naked and the text didn't elude to this athletic ability being anything of a sexual nature, just work related. Second, when given the option to start a sex scene with uncle and NPC dog (I know, I'm a sicko), the dog didn't appear. The dog's name didn't appear either (the name field was blank) but the option to remove it's clothes was there (though the dog obviously wasn't wearing any clothes). In the scene options, the text showed up as "Remove 's clothes" implying that the dog was there just invisible. Camming around and zooming didn't help; he wasn't behind the 2D background, he just wasn't there. Another option I considered: my character went to the hairdressers last night and I selected get a haircut option. It would have been nice to have the character editing screen load and I get to select a different hair style. We can buy clothes, why can't we "buy" hair? (or can we I just haven't seen it yet?) I know I can edit other NPCs in the CTRL+P (I think?) screen, but I can't edit my own. That sucks. EDIT: worth mentioning have been playing v1.18, in the process of downloading v1.19 from Patreon as we speak. Maybe above problems have since been rectified. Will keep you posted if they happen again. 1
