Draenei Race

Hi,

 

I recently stumbled upon this tumblr: https://eriayai.tumblr.com/ with a good looking draenei character. Sadly it seems that the author doesn't wantto share the assets (which is ok, it's his/her work after all). So my question is: How do you think he/she did it? Did they use the existing mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51208/ or did they start from scratch?

Wow, rarely this quality of work can be seen. My bet is that they started this from scratch, because none of the draenei mods are even close to this result, except the position of meshes.

BTW would be happy if anyone would make something like this for public purposes.

Yeah I'm really surprised that after all these years noone created a high quality draenei race for skyrim

Only mod with legs that don't look like they are just plopped onto the body instead of boots. Too bad it's private, looks insanely good.
Whoever made it is really good. I'm not jelly oh no I'm not. ^^

So far the author is saying that he's not against releasing it as a Race, though it still needs work as there are still some bugs.

https://eriayai.tumblr.com/post/172363640068/just-some-updates-to-my-dragon-girl-and-stuff wasn't made from the scratch, in a way it's a mashup with custom textures...

 

Needed 10 minutes and a well-stocked archive to imitate the meshes for that draenei character:

 

• a beast skeleton as base!!!
• some female body (used simple UNP here)
• a head mesh (took the Lunari race head mesh here because it works fine with the fins) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21602
• the mesh for fins you'll find here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/81731
• some horns (e.g. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57198/ )
• beast hands

The Dranei race is the one with blue skin. One of the races from World Of Warcraft? Scroll down firther in the link.

You might want to have a look at this. Most seem to have built in boots, but scrolling through the pictures I found one without the boots that resembles the image you had. There still seems to be some seamwork though but perhaps it could serve as a base to tweak?

Well, thx guys, but somehow I only satisfied only from Eria draenei work, others... they are not even close to "Ok" for me (guess it's just me). I guess I'll have to do my own mod if I would like to have it.

She has shared her amazing dreanei race mod and i can confirm its great.  She appears to be working on a lightforged dreanei mod as well that she may also share.  And with some digging it looks like some people have gone and modified some armors to work for the races hooved feet.  Downloaded files tonight will have to go about doing as the read me file says to make use of the modded armors.

 

I am curious though if it would be at all possible to make the race nude so long as the original creator was ok with it.  The model has underwear on by default.  Of course wearing  certain  armors seems to create the fluffy bits and nudity.  Though placement of nipples for example is a bit off.

 

At any event I will happily do my best to use the race mod and modded armors for them and eagerly await to see her other dreanei mod release.  If at all possible could she or someone with her graces make her space goats naked please.  Thank You.

Would love nude version (tried removing the underwear in Nifscope and there are holes in the mesh where the nipples should be.

the nude version is already in the archive, you just need to create the required body in the BS.

Never used Bodyslide before so didn't know. Now we just need a follower that uses this body.

oh sweet.  I got the Dreanei model armors working so i can go about playing them.  And i didn't realize she included the means needed to make them nude models right into the downloaded file.  But i don't know how to use bodyslide to do it.  Anyone have some videos that would help guide me through it?  Or is willing to instruct us?  A really basic step by step or pics would probably be enough.

alright fellas after some tinkering and playing around with bodyslide and watching a few videos.  Erias amazing dreanei ladies are now naked and bouncy in my skyrim.  And i got about a dozen armors edited through bodyslide and another persons mod so they show up on the dreanei legs and all.  Granted the collision physics i have working on the other female races are not in play here.  but I achieved my main goal.  Nude spacegoat ladies and working armor for them.

 

If i wanted to edit additional armors to work for them it would require more then what I figured out with bodyslide.

Did anyone here got the mod to work in SSE? Because i tried but I allways get a crash when I load the race in racemenu.

I am not sure its been converted over to work with special edition.  She shared it with others something like a year ago and is presently working on a lightforged dreanei mod.  You would have to use the link earlier in the post and contact the person who made the original mod.

 

That's the thing with special edition you are not gonna be able to use the same mods.  Not everything has been converted.

 

I would suggest asking the original creator for an official answer.

Kk, so when I start a new game and try to use the Draenei, I get an invisible face with floating eyes, teeth and hair. Do I need to do other stuff with BodySlide to get a working face?

With nexus mod manager I had a full body and everything.  But the race is in underwear.  In order to get a nude mesh you have to use bodyslide to create it.

 

So now i have naked dreanei girls bouncing around in my skyrim but no collision physics because I don't know how to tweak the bones to make collisions work.  I'll take it though and if she is nice enough to share the lightforged dreanei ill happily do the same.

 

Also since the dreanei have horse like legs you will need to get special edited armor models for the legs to work right.  And use bodyslide also to generate the meshes.
