Once I've gotten everything I'm sure I want, am restarting with a fresh playthrough with more realistic settings on each mod so I can play it all without having bugs, conflicts, or having to rely on debug functions or console commands to fix them (also need to decide whether to play as 2B or Widowmaker hmmm...)
zniachtl Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 I basically embarked on this adventure because I had seen I was only at 64/75 Achievements - with this run I got it to 75/75 (which is how I noticed I didn't "need" Namira quest for 15 Daedra, but whether Sithis or Nocturnal did the trick I honestly can't say) Oh yeah, I definitely always load my lvl 1 starting cell Save first, which I always rename/resave to get it back UP for faster Finding it Also I sometimes - but not too often - use the button in Savetool: [Advanced] / [Remove scripts attached to nonexistent created forms] BUT not too often as said, because it MIGHT easily clean up stuff I don't want cleaned up. Stuff I threw on floor that I want on floor.

My current dragonborn is far too busy on her quest to prove Orsimer superiority (by shagging all other people in Skyrim unconscious) to care much about becoming thane of milk-drinker cities or preventing the end of the world. I might give it a go at some point though. There's a tonne of content in Skyrim I've still never seen despite getting it day-one.

I can barely get all my sexlab mods to function let alone build the courage to attempt a long playthrough that I doubt will get very fat due to crashes/bugs. I am 90% convinced it is impossible which is kinda depressing, I have no desire to play vanilla skyrim ever again. A fully decked out devious playthrough of this game would be my final hurrah for video gaming and would happily put my pc to rest and move on to the real world seeing how new games are borderline trash.

Make sure you're using a good mod manager, friend. I use ModOrganizer and it has made my life so much easier. Here is my pattern for adding in a mod; Fully read the mod info. Top to bottom. Yup, everything. Install any pre-reqs, make any suggested adjustments. Check the most recent comments on the mod for any game breaking issues or reported incompatibility. Download the mod. Install the mod with MO. Run LOOT. Works for me out of the box 9 times out of 10. I roll with 150 mods on SE. About twice that on OldRim. I've got tons of SexLab mods and some script heavy hogs. Runs like buttah. If you put in and take out a lot of mods, I highly recommend cleaning your saves every now and then.

I am around 120plus hours of troubleshooting my devious playthrough and it is a long and frustrating journey. I have made some progress after taking a 2 week break, but still encountering multiple bugs and an occasional CTD. The only program I am using now that I don't fully understand is wrye bash tagging, but I never seen a required tag needed for SL mods so I just bashed my mods and moved on. My biggest issues seem to be with YMOYL, Defeat, and SL submit. Sofia just doesn't cooperate 30% of the time and flat out refuses to get arrested with my PC in prison overhaul. There are other issues I have but these are the main issues I discover early in play through attempts that I just cant seem to figure out. Any advice or advanced troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated... JackBikwik Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Ah, I don't use Sofia. I never liked her. I do use defeat and YMOYL, but not submit. I have found that there's too much overlap with other mods I prefer. The main SL mods I use for OldRim are: Amorous Adventures, Untamed, Devious Captures, Devious Devices, Deviously Helpless, SL Alternate Starts, Scent of Sex, SL Romance, SL Solutions, SL Aroused, Sex with Thieves, SL Kidnapped, SOS and of course all of their requirements and bunches of animations. For SE: Abduction, Amorous Adventures, SL Alternate Starts, Flower Girls, Flower Girls BDSM, and SL Pleasure I would recommend going through the MCMs for Defeat and YMOYL and really familiarizing yourself with the settings. They both hook in to a lot of different events and sometimes conflict with each other and other mods. They both have context menus that will allow you to determine how they act and when. It can take a lot of time fiddling with all the MCMs, but it's absolutely necessary in order to get things working smoothly. I don't know about you, but I'm an Alt-O-Holic. Going through the MCMs to get everything playing nice gets tedious the 10th time. So I would start a new game as a female, make all the MCMs set how I want and save a game called "newgame Female". Then I would do the same thing for a new male char and name is "newgame Male". Since I use different settings depending on gender. Then each time I want to start a new character, I'd just load up that template, go into racemenu, make the char and save it as it's own separate game.

The strange thing ive been finding is that I will return to a previous save and experience CTD's, even though the game was working fine 15 saves after it. I have restarted and reinstalled and replayed and resorted so many times I can get my mcm settings set in 15 minutes when a normal person would take 45. I'm now at the point of just scratching all of my desired mods just for maria edens simply because it has almost everything I want in a sexy skyrim run but I know a serious playthrough with this is unthinkable. Ive given up on bothering with actually playing the game and just "play with" the game now, which is what I think 99% of everyone here does as well. Perhaps I'm just expecting too much from this old ass game and just need to accept the fact I will never be satisfied with what is offered and what I want just isn't possible. I was telling my programing buddy about how much work ive spent on this and his jaw dropped and told me if I would have put that time into programing a new game to my specification I would be 25% done by now lol.

Never beat the game not even once, don't have any idea how it ends. My character usually starts without being the Dragonborn, can't even learn shouts or anything.

My game is stacked with LL mods that serve as consequence and avoidance diversions as well as economy and experience-limiting tools from Nexus. It's all there to reinforce a game where I can play normally, but if I fuck up, the consequences are severe. I never touch the civil war because it's silly for one person to win a war, and I essentially treat the Western Watchtower dragon kill as an aberration, so the Greybeards never get a visit. There's plenty to do in Skyrim without playing the main quests, and once you hit level 30, you can overpower most enemies anyway, which is the reason I nerf experience. That allows me to drag it out to around what would otherwise be level 60 or so before the game gets boring and needs a restart.

It's part of the appeal of a heavily modded game to me - that I do get to play with new mods and experiment with how the game works. But this also means that sooner or later I will break something and have to start a new game. I have, however, managed to do most of the game content as part of said heavily modded games - just over multiple playthroughs rather than all in one.
Mexicola88 Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I might do a complete 100% run in a few years if we got it all for SE and with a new pc that can handle the game in 4K rockstable 60 fps with ENB and every heavy graphic mod there is. I got a very good pc but it can only handle 1080p with a lot of ENB stuff because of CPU limitation of all the scripts and shit. With a custom SLI profile and without some effects due to flickering because of SLI i can play SE in 4K but without ENB. Gonna need a single GPU hardcore PC for that in the near future maybe in 3 or 4 years. Well who knows we might get TESVI soon. Hope we get sexmods for that pretty fast then. If the game makes me drool alone because of the graphic then im gonna try that 100% run. I probably already did it all at some point well except the hearthfire houses i never liked that and the artifacts never collected them either. But everything else yeah done it but always in different playthroughs. I mean you know how it is you install new mods fuck something up or there are a bunch of new mods or updates and then at some point you have to start a new game. After SE was released i made one playthrough completely vanilla as a male char never did that before, and never gonna do that again.
420BonerHitler Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I did a pretty long melee-tanky run a while ago with a bunch of SL mods and other stuff from nexus, like 170 or so mods (thats just esps, so not even counting retextures and stuff) and enb. The game runs at about 50-60 fps in cities and indoors and drops to 40-50 around large amounts of grass/trees (them flora mods, man). I'm super careful and don't trust the game to not crash so I saved every few minutes, which lead me to having my 2 save slots for the character numbered in the 600's lol. Though the run was surprisingly stable, no major random crashes unless I was doing something weird and out of the ordinary, no SL problems, and no save corruption. Went through most of the main quests, the entirety of both the dlc main bits, and some side questing. Oh and the occasional kidnapping, murder, seduction or whatever else, heh. I guess that's just my idea of a better reward for saving generic nord town than another legendary amulet or something. Only trouble I have to this day really is that dang SexLab Animation Loader, if it isn't in the perfect load order spot (seemingly chosen at random between spots 150 to 170 every time I launch the game) it crashes trying to load saves. LOOT won't fix it, so to get the game to not crash on loading I have to manually rearrange it in the load order, load up the game, and test a new save to see if it comes up in the mcm because if it isn't in a new game's mcm then the game 100% crashes trying to load any and all saves where I used the animation loader (so exiting the game can cause it to go wonky and I'll have to rearrange again). Other than that, and the severe lack of fallout 4 action here (FeelsBadMan), I'm pretty content.

Attempting it again and this time we're going all in, got a mod list up and running and it's stable as oldrim will ever be. A 60 count on the fps indoors and out, even wi' Snapdragon biting on it. Got Legacy o' the Dragonborn to keep track o' my OCD completionism and got a plan, tackle one hold at a time in it's entirety, then a DLC or guild questline then move on to the next hold. And fer simple roleplay purposes, using a Bruma alternate start to enter Skyrim and it's questlines a lil' more naturally. Wish me luck.

godcalledsick Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I got a few saves to lv 50ish or so doing most of the DLCs content and the Companions/mages guild questline. The load order was mostly immersion mods(frostfall and camping stuff), Enai's gameplay mods and PSQ + Defeat + belly inflation mods like Fill her up and Soul Gem Oven. Weak to moderate enb like bleak or antique dragon and a fuckton of armor mods. The runs were as stable as it can be I think, most of the crashes happened when I finished a sex scene. Now i'm going for a slaver run with PAHE and the assorted mods, planning on making a veritable sex dungeon at some point in a large player castle/home. Not really planning on doing much questing this time, mostly because I don't think many of them will fit this character's morals/disposition and some concern for stability too.

From sandboxing with mods harder than Todd Howard's thick head to messing around with stuff like SD+, defeat, or PAH quests end up like never getting done lol. Vanilla quests aren't really that good anyways imho. Bethesda's writers are kinda dumb. Main character's a mary sue.

Ernest Lemmingway Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 I've tried, but I usually become bored with my play and start over, or after 100+ hours things start getting extremely buggy, quests don't update properly, etc. The latter is usually because I forget you can't truly remove mods from Skyrim saves, even when you "clean" them, and things go south. My CDO doesn't let me start the MQ until I've finished all the guilds and found as many of the shouts and special abilities from quests. Which is where the boredom usually sets in and I leave the game for a while or start a new game with different mods. Sadly it lives down to Bethesda's record of underwhelming endings for beating the main quest. Even Morrowind and its DLCs had more memorable endings, even if those were just grainy, low quality mpeg videos. And you could see something from your efforts. Defeat Alduin/Harkon/Miraak...and no one cares! Aside from members of a specific faction, that is. New radiant quests =/= recognition for saving the world. Again. And again. This is the only game I've gotten all the Steam achievements on. Honestly, they're mostly just busy work with Skyrim and not that hard to achieve save a few, like defeating a Legendary Dragon.

I mainyl add them for added difficulty, random nature events and the fact that in the films and media, when the bad stuff does happen... it's to the secondary characters and you never really see it!* *Caveat- this new media world (TWD, GoT, Torture Films) is pretty graphic and disturbing.. but of course nudity is the worse!
