Been there too many times. Lots of folks accidentally convert head parts when doing the rest. That will also get you CTDs. I generally delete head parts in facegen and everywhere else - and let the CK replace the facegen parts. May not look as the author intended - but acceptable - and no CTDs.

I keep the head meshes as they are. (Learned that from Hentai Creatures) So they stay as intended and don't cause crashes. For the other nifs, I learned to take a look at the unconverted nifs if the coverted versions make problems.

When you tried converting in the past, presumably with Nif Optimizer, did you hit that one checkbox it has for head meshes? That's what I've always done and never had a problem.

Ok I'm no expert when it comes to meshes. Ive run it through nifoptimizer thats it. So let me see if i get this right you removed the head nifs and just converted the rest?. I wish we can just get the working mesh folder somewhere. that be awesome. Or some help doing it right would be great.

If there is a legit use case for converting head meshes, what is conversion supposed do do, give better performance?

There are actual NIF differences between Skyrim and Skyrim SE. NIF Optimizer takes care of those. Just don't let it touch head parts without selecting "Head parts only". Otherwise it will cause run time CTDs.
Adviser69 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 So, Angrim's Apprentice seems to be working pretty well when just the assets are optimized for SE. I've been playing with the SE version of Nikitaa's Succubus race, and it's integrated in almost flawlessly. Converting the plugin itself is not recommended at this time however, as you will be unable to converse or interact with Angrim, and the Succubus related buffs/debuffs don't work as intended. Alas, I'm and not skilled enough yet to figure out how to convert the seq and string files. Otherwise, it performs as intended and place pretty well with the SE variants of it's requirements. I do like the perks of this mod, even if I do end up in a harness and armbinder every so often.

I converted everything and then copied the old facegen date over the converted ones.... Try this one... SexLab EagerNPCSE.7z I will burn in hell for not converting by the rules....

Thanx but you are safe i ran everything except the folder with the headnifs through nif optimizer again and voila its fixed. I'm sure i wasn't the only one that didn't have a clue what i was doing so your post might still help someone else.

I put unconverted oldrim meshes into SSE, I use unresaved esp's, I usually skip essential steps in the converting process. There is a tiny little cell in the hell of modding exclusivly reserved for me.

You can generate SEQs from SSEEdit (load mod, right-click it, Other, Generate SEQ) and I don't know how to handle strings files, but neither seem to require reprocessing anyways.

Many thanks folks Hmm, I got Display Model converted no problem, but I can't seem to be able to download the script edit for Puppet Master. Everytime I click on the link I get an automatic "connection reset" screen. It's been doing that to me for forum embedded links for some reason. Not sure it's my connection on my side, as it only happens on this site, and only clicking on said embedded links.

I found a little 'bug' in DM while playing with my conversion and that is the reason why DarkConsole has not made a release for SE jet. Sometimes the scripts break, and you DM's move back to their home location. They stay tied up. It is a bit strange. I've left a few tied female vampires at one of my houses sort of as chained living mannequins, only to come back a few in game days later and find them gone, only to have returned to their original spawn point, still tied. Funny thing is, this has never happened with my Adventurers Tent. Though it could be because I constantly use the tent as I traverse between towns and homes since I disabled fast travel.

For me My Home Is your Home did the trick. But you can only use it on followers. It seems to happen only if you don't enter the location for quite a while.
