I've been keeping a list of mods that are either a) update is available, but is not natively backwards compatible, b) updated, and the version uses something like CommonLibSSE(-NG), whcih means it's compatible for most versions (ConsoleUtilSSE-NG for instance, original author of ConsoleUtilSSE is unlikely to update it anytime soon). and c) mods that are not updated. po3 has a LOT of mods in this category, although strangely, some of their mods (like Security Overhaul - Lock variations) *are* updated for 1.6.629+ (probably).

Also made me find out that some of the DLL mods I use aren't likely to ever be updated.

DAR for instance:
- Source code is not available

- Nexus permissions are asinine (read: restrictive, essentially prohibiting a port if someone else took over)

- Author has been MIA since Febuary at the latest.

Here's to hoping someone creates a functionally identical alternative.

Actually, you made a mistake.
The new version works *from* 1.6.629, so it does work in 1.6.640 just fine (and maybe even GOG 1.6.659 too).

Jep. My mistake. Should have wrote a bit more and worded it properly (I am lazy, sorry).

I tested the CLib-NG version of ConsoleUtil with my gog version of the game. Basicly all I did, was to install it and hope it doesn't throw a skse dll error. It didn't, so i postet it up to the GoG version (1.6.659). A bit of a flawed test to be honest, but I now did some testing afterwards with Consoleutil mods, namely Cheat Jewelry and GPS Tracker which require ConsoleUtil. Worked both as intended, so it is safe to say that it works up to gog. That being said, there is the new Epic version 1.6.678, which has currently no skse support, so we'll  have to wait and see, if it also works with Epic.

Seems SKSE is now version 2.2.3 for AE as well. Not seeing a whole lot of chatter about this so I'm going to assume that anything compatible with 2.2.2 also works on 2.2.3...

According to the "whatsnew" file, it's just better detection for unsupported plugins and game versions (eg, Epic Store version is unsupported, which I hadn't even heard had happened), and not requiring skse64_steam_loader to be present, which isn't needed on the GOG version or... something.

Honestly I think DAR should be in thread title. At this point it's used in so many mods it's basically a required install for just about anyone.

And it's currently not updated so yeah...

Btw I don't know if it's been mentioned in the thread but RaceMenu, although not up-to-date on nexusmods, is up-to-date on the author's patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/posts/racemenu-0-4-19-72519198

Also, po3 papyrus no ETA but shouldn't be too long.

I think we're good to go when those 2 are updated.

Will the updated mods work on the GOG version as well?.GOG skyrim has so much potential, it can possibly be the next 1.5.97, all it requires is one final push from the mod authors and that's it.

.DLL mods that have been updated to Steam 1.6.640 with Address Library will likely work on GOG 1.6.659.
For some reason PapyrusUtil it's not working, ashal's comment on NexusMods:

Oh joy. A new separate version to maintain. So excited to have people yelling about the mod not working because they installed the steam version on their gog install or vice versa. Thanks Todd.

I'll release a GOG specific version when I feel like it. It's not a priority for me. Probably when I have free time later next week.

.DLL mods that have been updated to Steam 1.6.640 but do not use Address Library will not work on GOG 1.6.659:

RaceMenu [skee64.dll]; Fuz Ro D-oh; JContainers; ...

You want Silvain's SE port for the latest SLS beta, since Corsayr stopped at 0.662:

Thanks. I've updated but both still depend on Simply Knock SE

PSA if anyone hadn't noticed: the latest SKSE (2.2.3) does not include nor need the skse64_steam_loader.dll that it's had up until now.

And it's officially on Nexus now. It was before, too, but now it's actually downloadable from there.

Any experimental monkeys out there test this?
