I have a couple of questions. First, concerning SSE Engine Fixes, is Part 1 the only one that's being updated? Every time I check it Part 2 is always the same version. Second, about the newest versions of XPMSSE, it's stated that the CBPC compatibility patch can cause random CTD whenever a dragon takes off from the ground for unknown reasons. However, some people have reported this happening without the patch, especially with Alduin in Helgen. Can anyone confirm if this is a prevalent issue?

The last few versions of CBP (whether with collisions or without, it seems) when used alongside to most recent XP32 Maximum Skeletons cause randoms crashes near dragons that are taking off but running FNIS without the arm fix or running an old version of CBP (I switched to 1.1.18) serve as a work-around to the issue.

I forgot to clarify I'm not using CBP in my game, what concerns me is the fact that the issue seems to occur even without it, some people have reported so. I was playing on a new character so I don't have dragons yet, I'm planning to start a completely new character just to check if it will occur with Alduin in Helgen. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't running FNIS without the arm fix a bad idea?

It is less than ideal but it isn't as likely to cause crashes if you are using a recent XP32 skeleton.

Unfortunately, it just happened. Game crashed as soon as Alduin took off in Helgen. I'm thinking of waiting for a fix but considering the author said the cause is still unknown, it'll take a while. I'll probably revert to version 4.51 until some resolution can be reached. Either way, thanks for the help.

I'm using version 4.64, I haven't had any dragon related crashes with that version.

Now that you mention it, the mod page states that 4.64 is the latest version, but the files section has 4.65 instead. I'm not sure what's the issue with that but I'll try out 4.64 as you say to see for myself. Thanks.

SSE Engine Fixes is a separate DLL and as far as I know isn't tied to the SKSE version.

Not sure about the XPMSSE thing but I've been sticking with 4.61. I haven't seen the CTD issue personally but I run CBBE Special instead of a 3bone body like 3BBB.

Yeah, I tried version 4.64 and it still crashed when Alduin took off. I reverted to 4.51 and it's working now so I'll just wait. Or I can try other versions but I don't know. This is why I dislike fiddling around with XPMSSE.

Do you think I should update my game then and just hope it gets updated?

Update? No, no. Don't update until all your mods are updated. And if HDT doesn't update then... wait for CBPC to work with clothing?

On and off. Check the CPBC thread.

I seem to get in trouble when joining discussions. I'll just wait and see. Thanks for your hard work while you're here. :)

Concerning the CTD issue with XPMSSE 4.65 version I mentioned earlier, I thought it best to mention the possible reason has been identified. In Nexus Mods, someone stated that FNIS 7.5.1, the latest version has a small issue with XPMSSE versions 4.60 and above and that in order to avoid CTD, version 7.5 needs to be used instead until the issue is dealt with. I tried it myself and it seems to be working.

I'm not sure it's related to the other issue with CBPC compatibility patch but either way, I wanted to put this information here in case it helps someone.

Anybody on Discord? Should I make a server for this stuff? Would anyone care?

I am on Discord, but I was swamped by so many notifications I turned them off!

I visit LL regularly so catch all the changes anyway.

Others will obviously have a different view. ?

It sounds like it would make sense to do, but I don't know what it could provide that this forum doesn't already cover. I'm not on here every day, but it's not like I really need to be since I'm only updating once a week or so.
