voices Does anyone else kinda hate the sims' voices during Wicked Whims animations?

Honestly just wondering if anyone else kind of finds the voice/talking loops during sex animations annoying? It doesn't sound like they're having sex. It sounds like they're having a conversation. I actually like the sim's 3 voices during sex better. Is this something each specific animator adds to the animation?

Unfortunately we're limited to the sounds that exist in game right now, 

People who are creating animations are choosing the sounds and at times will try to add these conversational vocals as an element of dirty talk so that it's not all stretchmoan & high_whyme 

 

It's the best we can do for now as the silent animations seemed to be a lot less favourable

Yup. Only in-game sounds can be applied to animations as of right now. Hopefully, someone will be able to figure out how to import sounds into packages and we can use them somehow.

 

The tricky thing is associating these sounds to sims so that they move their mouths while they play. We would need sound files for each of the voices in the game.

I can't remember how it was done in the Sims 3 but I somewhat like the talk during sex in the Sims 4

That's another key factor of this too!

Right now the sim's jaw is programmed to sync up with each and every vocal, it's probably something pre-programmed too and not set to detect the sounds themselves,

 

Also my concern is that these imported vocals would be pretty tricky to implement on a creative side too,

Eg, if an animator uses a deep voiced male clip, it'd look off when using a younger male or a female!

 

Right now the voice we have stays consistent, the voice they use to speak is the same for when they fuck, the pitch/tone of the voice for each sim can be altered via the slider in CAS for some individuality,

 

If real life vocals are applied, would the slider affect this? Would get boring for all Sims to have the same voices but at the same, a collection of mixed voices wouldn't work, also a real voice would be more complicated when it comes to varying the tone,

 

 

Also the jump from simlish to another dialect would be pretty huge too,

Indeed. We would need clips that are at least decent quality. Like SexLab for Skyrim, maybe a little better because they would need to be able to slide up and down in pitch. Low quality audio would sound terrible with that applied. It would be better to have no dialogue, at least for the default sounds.

I think the voices that we have do work with the tone of the game and maintains the immersion of the game,

It's more of a problem on the side of the animators,

Rather than looking to import or replace vocals, It's gonna be far more powerful if someone could find a way to extract and preview these sounds so we can sample before adding them,

 

Right now it's a case of assigning them and waiting for the game and lot to load everytime for testing

That would be incredibly useful! I'm sure we would find a lot of gems to use that way.

I think they're fine as long as they're don't loop too much, and they're at least a bit suited for the animation.

I m one of the S3 and OKW gamers and I loved this voices.

 

But I m patient, maybe one time we can get better sound/voice files for TS4 and WW too.

But what a step did WW and all the stuff around it even in the last year...!

I like them. Depending on the animator this can be done well or not. Sounds from outside the game world would break the immersion for me.

I like the way it is now. Some people do a really good job with the right soundfiles. They fit well.

The sound files can be extracted. They are .snr and .sns files. My current understanding of these is that .snr files deal with sound effects and vocals, while the .sns files deal with music and soundtrack.

 

The difference between Sims 3 and Sims 4 is that Sims 3 files were named in the packages. In Sims 4 for some reason they are not named. There is a list that Andrew on Sims 4 Studio compiled that goes up to Spa Day, I can point you to if your interested.

 

I have been researching how to do this. I don't want to replace dialog, I am trying to figure out how to make custom sexual moans, groans, climax sounds and sound effects for adult toys for the animators and individuals that mod and inject them in to the game.

Aside from custom vocals, it would be kinda cool to be able to import custom Foley that would better fit animations, as Kodenu suggested. Like slapping, sucking, rubbing, slick sounds. Sometimes the sound effects from the game work pretty well, other times not so much, so it would be nice to have a wider choice of sound effects.

Yes, animator choose which sound is played during the animation. each animations have it's own sound.

Some animator choose better sound than other.

Since there is only a list of the sound available, and the only way to "preview" a sound is by adding the sound to the animation, save the animation into a package, launch the game, start the animation. It's really tedious to match a good sound at the right time.

YES! I wish there was an option to mute them! Actually, I often times just lower the voice sound in the settings because it can get so annoying. I do the same with porn, tbh. I find the exagerated VA annoying.

It does not bother me it fits the game actually ..Some porn sounds are stupid like you know its fake lol I just will stick to the sounds of sims

It's mostly the looping of the same phrases every few seconds that kills me. I love plenty of sighs, grunts, and moans, I just hate constantly hearing "Garshkaa!" over and over. lol

They're alright, just repetitive. I do wish there was a way to disable the giver or receiver's voice during an animation. The sims 3 after a while just grated on my nerves, if I hear DEBBINOOTSO one more damn time...Speaking of DEBBINOOTSO I also wish the male masturbation animations weren't so goofy and cartoony in 3.

I agree on this. In the rest of the game, the Sims language might sound funny and creative, but when a Girl gets pounded in her ass, "Chuuuub, Chuuuub" doesn't sound exactly sound erotic.

To the animators credit, some of them use such an erotic sounding voices that sometimes I wonder how this game is rated for teens lol. If I played with volume high enough my neighbors would probably think that I'm watching porn. But yeah, I hope we'll get proper voices one day in the game.

I personally have no prob with it but maybe Turbodriver can add a sim voice toggle into the settings of whickedwhims that mutes the voices of sims during sexy-time? This way both sides can be satisfied.
