FreeSpirit Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 First off i must say thanks for this. Spending so much time on a characters looks just to have it destroyed.  Some have asked about the eyes turning to normal instead of vampire in the Lord form, So here is a fix for those that wan't to use the CK.  Open up the altvamplord.esp set it as active file.  1. In object window dropdown list find "Miscellaneous/FormList" 2. Right click and choose "New" 3. I named it "HeadPartsVampireLord" keep window open 4. In dropdown list find "Character/Race" you can filter Vampire 5. Find DLC1VampireBeastRace mark it and pull to the window in stage 3 6. Press Ok and accept create New Form ID  Now to create the eyes for the Vampire Lord. My guess is that you want the eyes that only the iris glows red  1. In drop down list head to "Character/HeadPart/female/head part" 2. Open "FemaleEyesHumanVampire" 3. Change ID i changed to "FemaleEyesVampireLord" 4. Change Name to the same 5. Under Valid Races find "HeadPartsVampireLord" 6. Press Ok and accept create New Form ID  Now to change The Vampire Lord  1. In drop down list head to "Character/Race" 2. Open DLC1VampireBeastRace 3. Next to ID you see Editing pick Female 4. In the Tabs head to "Face Data" 5. Mark Overlay head part list 6. In Base Head Parts mark "Eyes" 7. Right under you see a Drop Down List pick your new Eyes 8. Press Ok and Save everything. Head in and enjoy the glowing eyes.  Hope some find this usefull  Current Look   Â
Windbrand Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I see. I will just use the body from this mod then. What files is this mod using for the vampirelord body and face mesh? Everything is displaying correctly like in the screenshots except the face in my game. In my game the face is very thin and long' date=' and has that ugly sunken cheeks effect... [/quote']
Gento no musume Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Ah' date=' I wouldn't know, I'm hopeless at modding, best of luck to you though! [/quote'] Â Well, after a bit of digging around, I finally managed to get a Monli version of this working. Obviously it still suffers from the weird neck and hand stretch that comes with the vampire lord behavior files. If I can just get that, I might be satisfied.
live88 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Can you guys help me out? ive been trying to get the mod below to become my vampire lord armor, tried switching out the names on the meshes to those in the mod, and gets ctd everytime i play, btw im only interested in getting the xenocide armor, but keeping the wings from the original mod would be sweet. Btw, please explain in simple english, modding noob over here, thanks! Â http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24390 Â Things i tried that might be wrong 1) rename the xenocide textures to the same name as the mod, and replacing them. 2) replacing the bsa files to the ones given in the mod. 3) tried fiddling the texture files by trial and error. Â Though i might be wrong but i did keep a back up, so i can roll back anytime
Gento no musume Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Well, you're probably getting the ctd because the game is looking for files it can't find. The easiest way to switch the armors that I know of is to use the Creation Kit and possibly some kind of .bsa extractor. (I use FOMM) Â This process should also work for other body types, armors, etc. Â *Important* Before you start, make a backup of the original mod and its files. You never know when you'll accidentally skip a step or hit a wrong button. Â 1. open CK and select file > Data... 2. check off altvamplord.esp. make sure to set altvamplord as the active file. the CK will now load the esp and all relevant esm files. if any errors pop up, hit yes to all. (note that some people have to configure the creation kit to allow dawnguard.esm to actually load. search youtube for Dawnguard creation kit fix and you'll be good.) 3. in the object window, type DLC1Naked into the filter box. it may take a while to load, but be patient. if nothing loads, click *All at the bottom of the left-hand list. You should now see a handful of files like DLC1NakedHandsVampireLord, DLC1NakedFeetVampireLord, etc. 4. if your new armor textures and meshes aren't archived (in a .bsa) then skip this step. Otherwise, extract the contents of the .bsa somewhere and copy the extracted meshes and textures folders to the Skyrim Data folder. 5. in CK, open DLC1NakedVampireLord and where it says female biped model, click select. Find the new mesh and make sure it displays properly in the preview window. (if it comes out with a missing texture, the mesh file is looking in the wrong place for the texture. make sure that you copied/extracted the meshes and textures with the same file path as the original modder did. You can also change it with Nifskope, but I digress.) 6. for the gloves, boots, horns, etc; repeat step 5. The wings will stay the same as long as you leave them alone. 7. make sure to save the file now. you can also try navigating to Character > Race > DLC1VampireBeastRace to see a preview. This is also where you can set which skeleton the vampire lord uses, if you're playing a race that uses something different than the default female. 8. start up skyrim and test. It's good to have a save set up for quicker testing. Â Don't worry if this looks really complicated. It should be quite easy if you follow the steps.
live88 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Ive followed trough all that, and did change the armor, without the ctd. Problem now is, when i changed the armor, my character's skin, during the preview from "DLC1VampireBeastRace" shows burned skin. In game however it changes to colours alternating between black and white. Now i know this question has been asked and answered, but i dont understand any of the answers, please advise. Â Oh and if it helps, 1) im using the unpbbp body, but that shouldnt matter right?since the mesh armor ive chosen is also unpbbp supported. 2) im also using an athletic body map. Â Thanks for the help before btw.

Thanks for the help before btw. [/quote']  I had a similar problem. Off the top of my head, there's two things I can think of.  1. the mesh (.nif) files have the texture's file path built in. It's pretty easy to go in with nifskope and correct it if the mesh is just looking for the wrong skin texture.  2. in each of the armor addon entries (dlc1nakedvampirelord, etc) below where you set the biped model, you can set the body's skin texture. it may be necessary to create new entries for your desired skin texture, but you should be fine with the default skin texture of whatever race you're playing.(the default for humans is skinbodyfemale_1)  I'd say try solution #2 first and see what that gives you in the preview window/in game. If the mesh is finding the armor textures properly then you probably don't need to worry about solution #1.
brokezor Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 1. the mesh (.nif) files have the texture's file path built in. It's pretty easy to go in with nifskope and correct it if the mesh is just looking for the wrong skin texture. Â Any hints where to look for this, I've tried several cuirasses and always get the burnt texture, no idea how to fix this in nifskope.

Brian L Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Thank you for this mod. Its great. The only problem is that around the butt area there seems to be a missing texture or something, which I guess is because I use CBBE... its like really shiny. Â So thank you too, Gento no musume, for your instructions for changing the armor. Unfortunately I don't understand how to attach all of those extra parts, like how this mod has leg straps / etc, if the armor I'm trying to use doesn't have them already attached. I'll probably figure this out though... I'm assuming I need to figure out how to do this using Nifskope because I can't seem to add them using the CK.
Keyboard Warrior Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I don't exaclty see why anyone would want to change this. Â A vampire lord (In it's vampire lord FORM) Is supposed to look like a horrific, ancient, monstorous beast. Changing that is kind of like if someone changed the werewolf to be a giant anime chibi or something. Â Though, I can't lie- This is some high quality work, and you did a damn good job on it. It's just not for me.
Alphaman Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 The only problem is that around the butt area there seems to be a missing texture or something, which I guess is because I use CBBE... its like really shiny.  This body uses the ADEC body textures, and is mapped for them. So it won't work with, for example, CBBE textures  You can solve this problem easily by downloading the ADEC textures, setting them up on a separate folder, and using Nifskope to point at the ADEC textures. tttzzz Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 please make a cbbe compatible version. Â is this version compatible with better vampires ?, because when i install it it want to overwrite the skeleton.nif from better vampires.
dboura Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Its pretty easy to use adapt the armor to work with this mod on any of the bodies. I just did it with UNP. All you need to do is take the relevant meshes and replace the incompatible ones. For CBBE ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14380 ) I believe its the cuirass_1.nif. change its name to Cuirassf_1.nif and replace the one in this mod. for UNP ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15155 ) its the Armor_1.nif that needs to be renamed.  The files to be replaced should be in this folder in your Skyrim install: Skyrim\Data\meshes\armor\Succubus  Then just install the relevant textures as if you were installing the armor itself.  This is my character Celeste using the UNP Blessed body with the replacement as I stated above done for UNP.      Â
dboura Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Um everything was great 'til Serena morphed out then ..anyone else in general have a problem with her stretching to infinity and beyond when she morphs into her VL?
kenzen Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Thank you I hope you improve it more and make it also CBBE compatible. Â Thanks a lot. Â
esmm40 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Started using this today, real pleased so far. Was able to change the armor to UNP and the horns to Astaroth pretty easily. Definately would like to see the neck stretch go away, past that I can't complain. I'll let you know if I discover anything that might help and be checking here often to see whats new.Â
Guest Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Im sorry, if this has already been posted, but, erm, it looks kinda odd cutting people flesh (especially armor) with your bare hands. Id like to have some kind of gloves on the hands, or some sexy claws. Daedric armor has some good lookin gloves that look like they could rip a heart out of someone. Â And I saw someone requesting to make a version without the horns, I dont not like them, but it would be cool if there was a version without them. Â Oh and this mod is freaking awesome, just what Ive been lookin for, vanilla vampire lord looks shitty as hell.
Guest Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 can someone post a cuirass for CBBE? I cant uninstall this mod or else my vampire lord transformation crashes the game so i'm stuck with butt creases
Guest Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Got a problem, tried uninstalling this mod, as soon as I did that and launched skyrim, BAM crash. It just basically starts it self, and right before the skyrim logo appears it CTDs it self. Â Anyone?
NoxTM Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Got a problem, tried uninstalling this mod, as soon as I did that and launched skyrim, BAM crash. It just basically starts it self, and right before the skyrim logo appears it CTDs it self. Â Anyone? Â Â This Problem appears mostly if Skyrim is trying to load something some isn't longer available. Check the Masterfiles of your Mods. Â Is there a Mod some is trying to load an .esp or .esm some isn't longer available? Â Sorry for my poor english.
NoxTM Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 can someone post a cuirass for CBBE? I cant uninstall this mod or else my vampire lord transformation crashes the game so i'm stuck with butt creases  If you cant find a CBBE Cuirass the only solution is to load a savegame before the mod. Sorry... :/ sad but true.
Geist Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 This might not be the best place to ask, but since it does involve the Vampire Lord animations in a way, I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to create a hostile Vampire Lord in Beastform (Similar to final boss Harkon). Â I've been trying to duplicate Harkon and use him as a template, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't, does anyone have a suggestion or advice?
XunAmarox Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Is it possible to point the skin texture for the armor to an ADEC skin texture rather than default so it works with other body mods? Â edit: Oh, nevermind. Duh. I just changed the textures in the BSShaderTextureSet and pointed it to some ADEC textures and all is good in the world now. I was thinking there would be tinting issues or something. Anyways, might not be a bad idea to incorporate for your mod though? Increase body mod compatability. Â Also, looking at the meshes (actually going by the wing idea used in that other linked mod)... it looks like it'd probably be possible to just extend the verts on that one tiny little flap of wing down a little bit then retexture it with an alpha to have a nice draconic/bat-like shape but with functional wings. Â In case you guys missed it since I still see people asking for CBBE nearly a year later... All you have to do is edit the nif to point to the ADEC textures rather than using CBBE's. I guess most people probably don't know enough about modding to do that on their own even if it is super easy... It's actually compatible with CCBE/UNP/UNPB, etc, whatever mod you have since it's using a workaround to completely circumvent needing the body mod itself. You can actually do this little trick on any special body type of armor you can download if you want to use it without any weird textures. Â Here's what you do... Â 1. Open Cuirassf_1.nif with Nifskope (and then Cuirassf_0.nif). 2. Click the bodypart with skin showing. 3. You should now have NiTriShape ADEC [1] selected. 4. Click the down arrow on the NiTriShape. 5. Click the down arrow on BSLightingShaderProperty 6. Click BSShaderTextureSet 7. Look down at the bottom of your client now and click the down arrow for Textures 8. Drag the Value tab across further so you can see what they say. 9. You have 3 textures at the top, then one much further down. You need to point those to the corresponding ADEC textures. 10. In mine I put them in textures\adec\ so I could use it while using my CBBE, and it works like that. Â I didn't do the male version. I used whatever old version I changed since I'm kinda lazy like that. I changed the horns too, so I included the textures for that. Â Anywho, I figure most people probably are too lazy for that... Here it is if you just want to grab a version compatible for any body mod: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wt2txu1r3sop3wx/Custom_VL_Compatability.7z
