I'm trying to register animations via Pandora, but it's not detecting SL anims. Any way to work around this?

Did you manage to resolve this?

I'm having the same issue with Pandora. I also tried installing Sex Lab Animation Loader and adding some more animations through the in game MCM menu. My characters will strip and teleport to each other and they will make facial expressions, but the body movements don't play.

I'm trying to install SexLab in the MCM, but unfortunately it seems that the MCM becomes unresponsive when I try to open SexLab's menu, and the menu itself is blank. It's a fairly beefy modpack I'm trying to add this to, so the minimal amount of info I could find on what's happening is that it's probably overloaded on scripts? Basically, the SexLab MCM won't load, and then when I close out of this menu, it won't let me open any of the mod MCMs until I completely close out of the journal and unpause the game.

I've tried closing out, opening it back up, waiting, etc. I've tried saving and quitting to main menu, and loading back in. I've tried saving and closing to desktop and loading back in. I've tried waiting a couple minutes on this menu page to see if it starts responding. I've tried waiting in-game for 24 hours (T wait button). Most if not all of the other mods in the MCM load fine when I open them up (as long as I don't try SexLab first). SLSO opens, SLAD opens, SLTools opens, etc. Any number of the random mods installed also open. But SexLab just won't.

I have the most up-to-date version of SkyUI, Papyrus, and I am using 166b version of SL, since I am running AE 1.6.1170

1) Is there a known way to fix this bug in MCM?

2) Is there an alternative way to click the damn Install button for SexLab without needing to go into the MCM?

Thanks!

It defaults to not installing on the first load only. If you save and reload the game, wait 30 seconds, and assuming you are not still at the Helgen start and are out in the open world, it should stop waiting for the player to click the button and initiate the installation process itself.

But that's assuming everything is going correctly. If the MCM is blank entirely, you likely have another issue at play. Modpacks are horrible, not least of which because by their very nature they force a ton of shit to start enabling and modifying your game right off the bat without any care of them fucking with each other or creating an install bottleneck.

I'd suggest trying the console command "setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" then closing the console and waiting a bit for the MCM to finish resetting. Otherwise, my advice for starting a game with a big modpack (other than don't) would be to leave sexlab and its related mods disabled, and only enable them later once you are past helgen (or alternative start areas) and everything else is done installing.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I ended up uninstalling a bunch of sexlab specific mods and just got sexlab installed on it's own with the collection. The MCM loaded up fine that way. Once installed, I presume I can then go back and reinstall all the other stuff.

Thanks!

Is there a way (that might be a setting I'm missing and/or an auxilliary mod I could use) to keep displaying (fuz-roh-doh?) subtitles during SL animations?
Or are subtitles supposed to be normal, and thereby likely that some other mod in my setup overrules them?
Edit: turns out it was a jury-rigged Apropos2 that was the culprit, nevermind.

Hey, my animations used to be working, but then I installed extra animations that I found called SLAL NSAP Anub, Mitos, and Rydin. Then I use FNIS, Nemesis, and Pandora. Now my character is just standing idle during SL scene.

I've been using FNIS and Nemesis for long now, and I believe Pandora shouldn't be the issue either because there are no errors or anything, all my animations working, just the SL scene animations that my character won't do anything.

Thing is, my character is standing idle, but the creature SL animation works.

I have 1500+ SL animations and 3750+ animations loaded by OAR

I am having a small issue with sexlab (the framework) and it's interaction with mods like Sexlab aroused and Horrible Harrassement.

Im doing a Lesbian playthrough and Sexlab (the framework itself) has all the female NPCs set to Heterosexual,  rather than Bi or Lesbian. The only way to change it is to manually select  by looking at the NPC hit "N" key and going into MCM and making the change to orientation one NPC at a time.

So mods like Horrible Harrassment and Aroused won't get girls interested in Female dragonborn because they are all set to straight.

Someone recommended "sents of sex" but it only permits or prohibits sex acts but doesn't change orientation to increase arousal or other behavior that makes NPCs proactive in their sex lives.

When I did my recent lovers playthrough of Oldblivion it has a menu to say that 50% or 100% of Male or female NPCs would be gay straight or Bi as a gobal modifier. But I can't find that in the Sexlab framework for Skyrim SE(AE1170), I also cant find a mod that does this gobal change. I personally would set the ladies to Bi for immersion and manually change certain companions to full Lesbian outside the gobal modifiers. Keeping all the males Heterosexual. But other people would be about to set it as gay or straight as they wanted.

Is there a way to make the framework do what I want or a mod recommendation for this?

I'm pretty there are settings if women can harass other women or not. Because the sexual orientation on Sexlab depends on ur or ur npc's sex stats (e.g. a hetero woman will turn into bi if they have almost to equal amount of sex scene with both male and female).

On my game, it's the opposite of ur problem. The males barely harass my character when she's hetero, and the harassers are always the women, so I just straight up set the settings to only males can harass. I guess it's realistic in a way, but I'm straight, so my fantasy is not being harassed by women HAHAHA. And I feel like the reason why, is because the female npcs on my game always have high arousal than the males, idk why.

I also have Tried using Pandora and am getting the same - Everyone is Tposing but all of the animations seem to load up in the game engine, I get the OK passes from Groovetama, I see all the animations available to all of the mods to turn on in the tick box.. I have spent 48 hours trying various fixes and experiments. I have removed Pandora and Tried Just FNIS. I think its something to do with Zex 8 personally, when I remove it I can run Pandora and TONS of combat and running animations..

The moment I put it back in everyone is Tposing again. I cant test all the combat stuff with FNIS as its mostly not compatible. The moment I start trying SLab mods and have to turn Zex 8 back on everything start Tposing... Its just a theory right now... Even with FNIS If Zex 8 is there the whole thing is a Tposing fest.

EVERY TIME the Tposing happens Its because FNIS Idles and Creatures are blue "?" in SLab..

Pandora isn't the problem; many of us here use that engine successfully. This is a case of PEBKAC. Modifying Skyrim isn't simple plug and play; you need a basic understanding of many things. Take a look at the guides on how to modify Skyrim; there are several on the site and all over the internet.

I am not sure what part of "The moment I put it back in, everyone is Tposing again. I can't test all the combat stuff with FNIS, as it's mostly not compatible. The moment I start trying SLab mods and have to turn Zex 8 back on, everything starts Tposing... Its just a theory right now... You are smacking me about PEBKAC, and you don't even know how to read.

But thanks, your response was about as helpful as AI bot's slop.

Not even an attempt at advice or help.

Isn't it obvious that best place to seek help would be dedicated thread/site/etc where you downloaded "Zex 8" from (whatever this is)?

BTW: I wasn't trying to be helpful, at all.

Having Issues with SLab, this seems like the place. So far the only ones who respond are the ones whos moms should have swallowed.

Alright, timeout, I know my message seems rude, but honestly, you haven't provided any relevant information about this mod in question. What is Zex 8 anyway? This is the Sexlab thread. Just in case, did you follow the Pandora installation guide? I've seen cases of people having trouble installing Pandora; it's really not difficult, you just have to follow the steps correctly (and this is me trying not to sound condescending). Peace out.

I'm trying to download the 1.6.1170 version of SexLab but whenever i start the download on either chrome or opera, the download gets to 44% then stops abruptly, is there any way to fix this?

@Saint_Olaf, I know you're frustrated and just want to get your game working the way you want. Take a breath and try to relax. Almost all of us have been in a similar situation of trying to figure out what's not working. You're not giving anybody enough info to help you. This is from a post I made:

  1. You've done what you can and you still need help. Time to ask in the mod's support topic. Include the following information:

                    *  start w/ a concise description i.e. "my companion stopped talking to me."

                    *  game version

                    *  skse version

                    *  mod version, it won't hurt to include the mod versions of common mods such as Fuz, Sexlab, etc. And don't just say 'latest version', be specific.

                    *  your load order (either behind a spoiler or in a .txt document you upload). Even if you think your entire list is unnecessary, you could be wrong. Sometimes a seemingly unrelated mod can be the root of the problem. Example:  I don't enter Shalidor's Maze every game. In fact, this was the first time since I switched to SSE. Funny thing, when I went to the entrance, the entrance was gone! Just a rock wall!. I did some research and found that a player home mod I'd been using since I switched to SSE caused navmesh issues in other places. I disabled the mod and suddenly I could get into the maze. So your load order is important because somebody may recognize a mod that caused issues.

                    *  a papyrus log. If you don't have one, go ahead and post your problem and let 'em know you will work on getting one. That's an easy search if you don't know how to set it up.

                    *  details matter. Describe in as much detail as you can, what you were doing, what you had just done. Were you in combat? Were you out in the wilds? Could you see combat in the distance? Did you fast travel directly into Whiterun, for instance, or did you walk in from the stables? Did an npc greet you or try to come up to you (guard, courier, whatever)? Were you trying to talk to an npc? Is it a repeatable problem? Did you try from the same save or different saves? Did you recently add/remove/upgrade mods?

                    *  a crash log. If you are getting CTD's, this might help.

                    *  use spoiler tags or upload text documents of your logs, load order, etc. This not only makes it easier to read, but is a courtesy to all your fellow members. Don't post a giant wall of text.

You've already given us some of the details, but if you think of anything else, that could be useful (fwiw, this was point 5 in my post but when I quoted the quote changed to 1, lol).

It wouldn't hurt to tell us what mod manager you use.

Try something else other than Opera...

Hello and thanks for your response...

Just upset because I am coming for help and nothing but trolls.

Also, I had already followed the instructions from the links they posted, which lead me to the problem I have now lol.

So here is the situation. I have been steadily working on this...

I have removed for now, Pandora and Nemesis (and their output files), just trying to narrow it further down.

So now I am strictly dealing with FNIS

Running FNIS in admin, from the mo folder, as an application within MO2. Have an output folder set up, and can confirm files do generate into it. I have gone through FNIS warning and removed everything that had warnings that were not related to mods (Animation packs specifically) I have identified a couple of troublesome mods and removed them.

When I go into SLab and look, it shows Idles and Creature idles in blue. "?"  Deleted and regened in Admin.. Still the same.

No matter what I do I still get that same result.

NPCS and Player frozen in Tpose, cant move, Camera moves around fine and if I am in an outdoor location animals run around like they should.

Best I can see right now its an Issue with the Idles in Slab somehow. Or maybe another conflict.

All the animations show up in SLAL, The Groovetama one checks out, Zaz Checks out, Animations all show up in the mods when scanned or registered. Pcea shows its working. By all rights it "should" run lol..

I did have Pandora working with combat animations and such before Slab was introduced.

I have tried Pandora alone, Nemesis alone, FNIS alone (which should avoid conflicts with the engines) Ensuring each was unchecked and such.

Various configurations with output files on and off. Checked the "actual" data file to make sure nothing got sent there and its clean other the skse which I have manually installed at this point using the version that matches the Slab version confirmed.

All things have resulted in pretty much the same, sometimes tposing and can slide around. Sometimes frozen in place. All the animations showing as loaded, all things checking out as in there. Just the Slab 2 Idle files showing the blue "?" which reading what it says is OK as long as your character can move and animations play, which is not the case here.

As noted I have removed all of that and feel like I have done something wrong with Slab, I did just confirm I am using the correct version with the b at the end. Followed step by step from the slab page..

Its been 3 years since my last modlist, but before that I was able to patch and write minor mods.. but now I am a newbie again... lol

I have made sure Spells, creatures are installed as instructed.

Just cannot figure this out for the life of me.. Its going to be something super stupid I feel like.

Tomorrow I am going to start removing other mods unassociated with Slab in groups of 10 and see if I can find something else conflicting.

In the meantime any help offered is gratefully accepted!

May I suggest a different approach? I'm putting it behind a spoiler.

Spoiler

Remove all your mods, other than skse. Start with a clean slate. Make sure there are no old scripts, etc. I don't know if MO2 has a purge function or not (I use Vortex) but you get the drift. For the record, whenever I update the game I go through the same process. I even wrote a blog about it that might help.

If you follow what I did, only for MO2 instead of Vortex, you'll notice I start w/ some building blocks first (FNIS, Bodyslide, etc.). Follow the steps through the alternate start section and make sure your game starts. If you're using FNIS, don't forget to install the creature pack for creature animations.

Now, from the blog:  "Download and install SkyUI, Sexlab Framework, and Sexlab Aroused ." You can open the sexlab menu and go 'toggle animations'; you should see they are all checked. You can save at this point so you aren't repeating any steps.

Once you've done everything in that section, and you know Sexlab installed correctly, it's time to get to your issue and test some animations. You need a mod that calls on sexlab. I am currently using Radiant Prostitution - RMCW Edition v. 8.1.1 and that might work well for you. Choose a start at an inn, preferably in a bigger hold for better testing, All you have to do then is ask the innkeeper for work and then start plying your trade. If everything is installed correctly so far, you should see the animation play out. You can quit.

If you continue to follow what I do, you'll do the Devious Devices stuff next, then add your other mods in small batches.

These are some of my other core mods, not listed in my blog, that are required by other mods or I find useful. I started my current game in January 2025.

.NET Script Framework

ConsoleUtilSSE NG

Crash Logger SSE AE VR - PDB support

FileAccess Interface for Skyrim SE Scripts - FISSES

FISSES patch for Skyrim AE 1.6.1130 (or later)

More Nasty Critters Special Edition and Creature Framework

Papyrus Tweaks NG

PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions

powerofthree's Tweaks

Scrab's Papyrus Extender

SexLab Animation Loader SSE

various animation packs

SSE Engine Fixes

UIExtensions

ZaZ Animation Pack+ CBBE HDT v. 8.0+SE2023

Once you  have eliminated or taken care of any conflicts, and have working system, you can delete Radiant Prostitution and alternate start mods if you wish. Run FNIS again, deploy, sort, and start a new game. If you don't use an alternate start, then I don't believe Sexlab will begin installing until after you're out of Helgen.

FWIW, whenever I start a new game, I uninstall and remove all the mods I am not going to use (I don't delete the archives, though I do move them to a different folder from my install folder). I run FNIS and Bodyslide. Deploy and sort. I make sure it starts. I quit. I update where available or necessary. I run FNIS and Bodyslide. Deploy and sort. And follow the later steps in my blog by installing the desired mods in small batches. Hopefully catching any problems earlier rather than later.

Just so you know, I'm not a technical expert, I'm only going by what works for me and what I've gleaned from others more knowledgeable. I hope this helps.

Oh this is a fresh install...

I didn't try and update a 3 year old mod list. I was just saying 3 years ago was the last time I had a mod list. This is a brand new instal of skyrim and EVERYTHING

Also, I should have noted I am on AE 1.6.1170 seeing as how a lot of these mods say different versions.

Should I have downgraded?

FFS this is why I stopped playing fallout 4 lol.. Bethesda has made it to much of a mess to bother with anymore.

All the mods to get Sexlab running are all over the places for 5 different versions of the game at this point...
