Make sure you’ve installed all of the requirements as they should all show OK on the Prerequisite check in first screenshot.

You need to install all of those first. Make sure you’re using the correct version of mods for your game version. I use Vortex as well so, in my experience, that’s not the issue.

I have the same problem with everything installed on a fresh install of Skyrim. I've went through the install instructions multiple times with no success.

@nodisplay1123, @Dude McBroseph, here's a screenshot of what the sexlab menu looks like on a new game for me.

Spoiler

Obviously this reflects my game version, not yours, but you get the idea. If you do not see OK, then you might have the wrong mod version  or the plugin is not enabled. Check those. I did create a blog post about getting started in Skyrim, see my signature, which might help if you have further problems.

Try installing the right version of Address Library. If your Racemenu version is correct, you're on the latest version of the game (1.6.1170) and yet you're trying to use Address Library for 1.5.X.

This helped so much. Thanks for the help!

I have this extremely aggravating bug with my sexlab setup.

For some reason, animations will play; but my character just stands up and clips into the other character as the other character is actually doing their part of the animation.

turn on the hkx check in fnis and run it, if there's a problem it will point it out.

I did that early on and the only issue was a single SLAL pack.  I deleted the pack from MO2 then regenerated without HKX check after since I removed the pack.

And it was still an issue so then I made the post here.

You always have to check the HKX box when running FNIS for SE. Otherwise it's processing for use in Skyrim LE aka Oldrim.

IDK about that.  Select the option or not, my character still stands in one spot frozen while the other character is doing the animation.

no, that's incorrect, SE FNIS only makes SE behavior files.

No such thing. All it does is check individual animation files and prints a warning if there's any incompatible ones.

So it helps in spotting incompatible mods, but it doesn't change how FNIS processes anything for LE or SE.

I just want to know how to fix the mod so that when I start a sex scene with a werewolf, i can have my charater join in instead of me standing in one spot while the werewolf does the scene.

Just found out that two werewolves will do their animations when in a sex animation together.  Humanoid characters don't get affected at all in the scenes.

Mentioning the issue happens with creatures would have been really useful. The blanket approach is check for FNIS warnings, delete all generated files and rerun it til there are no warnings or error messages. If human-human animations work fine (no idea since this wasn't mentioned) I'd start looking at MNC and accompanying mods, there are some troubleshot steps in the MNC description. In other cases there's some other mod editing behavior files (i.e. a combat mod, usually requiring Nemesis.. but I assume you're only using FNIS so no clue if this can apply to you).

Ok, Human x Human, standing idly

Human x Creature, Only Creature does the animation
Creature x Creature, works as it is supposed to

FNIS shows no warnings or errors, It says animations were generated.
I have SLAL installed, I have all animations selected and registered.
when I try to start an animation, sexlab says the animations are running.
The Console does not show any sort of sexlab errors.
Sexlab errors do not pop up on screen.

P.S.
Also, I did in fact mention before that animations worked with creatures but not humanoids

If characters idle, the problem is always 100% with your installation or usage of FNIS. Whatever you're doing wrong is preventing the final FNIS output for character behaviors from making it to your game. This can mean you have either installed FNIS wrong for your mod manager, are running it from the wrong location, or have another mod/tool/file overwriting the final behavior file that FNIS is generating.

If your install and usage of FNIS is 100% correct, then look at what mod is providing the final hkx files in /data/meshes/actors/character/behaviors, if it's anything other than FNIS you've fucked up it's output somewhere. If it's MO2 Overwrite folder, then just delete everything in the overwrite's behavior folder and re-run fnis. If you're using Vortex instead of MO2, then you've fucked up and made it harder for yourself to find the source of the issue and are on your own, probably involves looking through the file conflict rules and seeing if something is taking priority that shouldn't.

Once again, there are no errors in FNIS, FNIS says that the generation was completed, and things like creatures and werewolves are fine, it is only human characters that dont work.  Files for human characters were generated by FNIS.

I know for a fact that I generated and installed the animations correctly, else no animations would play and/or everything will be stuck in an A-pose.
I have the output enabled, it is full of hkx behavior files in "meshes" in the proper subfolders.  The folder I put the generated animations in is not being overwritten by anything.

FNIS is not in a sensitive location like Desktop, it is on an alternate ssd that the game is installed on.

FNIS says this "10752 animations for 43 mods successfully included (character)." which is correct.
I have also followed the Step guide by the letter.

And I know for a fact that they aren't installed correctly, because if they were, the characters wouldn't be idling. They idle because they were given an animation event to play that doesn't exist in their behavior file. It doesn't exist in their behavior file because it is installed incorrectly or overwritten by another source. This isn't a bug or an issue with SexLab or even FNIS; it is an issue with how your files are installed. Period.

If there is no error during the FNIS generation and you clearly see during generation that it's reading the SexLab files for characters (you see the line "Reading SexLab V1.64 ... " during/after generation), then the final behavior files generated by FNIS aren't making it to where they should be for the game to see them. The game is NOT reading the right generated character files at runtime; this is a fact, and if you want to fix the issue, you need to investigate it from that point of view.

But what do I know? I only made the mod myself, and as a result, understand how it functions inside and out better than literally anybody.

If you're using Vortex, delete everything in your meshes/actors/character/behaviors/ folder that DOES NOT start with "FNIS_", do the same for meshes/actors/character/characters/defaultmale.hkx and meshes/actors/character/characters female/defaultfemale.hkx , then run GenerateFNISforUsers again. Check the folders again to make sure the files that were deleted have all been re-generated, specifically at least 0_master.hkx.

If using Mod Organizer, then navigate to those same folders/files from the right side's data tab and make sure those files have their Date Modified updated after running FNIS and that the mod listed as the source of the file are either FNIS, Overwrite, or the custom output folder you set for running FNIS from MO2.

@MadMansGun and @Just Don't, thanks for correcting my understanding of FNIS. It's been so long since I set up FNIS for SE and I've always checked the box - somewhere some instruction said to always do that. Which still makes sense so you can find some errors before playing the game. Doesn't it just suck to be 20 hours in and then s***, something's messed up. lol

I've recently just finished remaking my Skyrim modlist and everything was working fine until suddenly Sexlab stopped working right. But when I say it, "doesn't work right," now I don't mean it doesn't work at all, the animations still play and still get picked up by Fertility mode and all, but for some reason whenever a scene starts now not only are the actors misaligned but they'll be doing two completely separate animations, often a yard apart from each other. Now I've had issues with Sexlab in the past before on other long passed modlists where scenes just wouldn't start at all, and usually if reinstalling sexlab or reinstalling Skyrim itself didn't fix the problem I'd just say screw it and switch to Flower Girls, but this time the issue is so bad it even persists with Flower Girls! That's right, whatever has borked Sexlab for me has borked Flower Girls too so now all of my attempts at sex scenes look weird and dopey. I've never seen anything like this before and all of my other animation mods and the like seem to be working just fine, does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this? My load order below:

I think I'm getting the same issue described here. I started with the Ro modlist, and then I modified it further to add SOS, SL, and a few other addons. So far everything works fine... except the animations are completely misaligned. Like in some phases, the actors are facing completely different directions a foot apart from each other, and quite often it looks like they're performing different animations at the same time. The animations still play, nobody is standing still, they are just severely misaligned. I reduced the mods down to just SOS and SL (and regenerated the animations with Pandora) and I still had the problem. I'm only using human animations, no creature stuff.

This modlist uses Pandora for the animation loading. I'm using the new 2.7.0-beta version of it, updated from the modlist's, and v.1.66 of SL framework. Pandora's configured correctly as far as I'm aware, everything is catching and it is finding SL and the FNIS animations, and generating a FNIS.esp. But no matter what I try, they're just so misaligned that I can't even manually adjust the actors together. Many other people are reporting that Pandora and SL work together just fine, but I can't figure out what could be causing such major alignment issues on my setup.

I'm tempted to just install FNIS or Nemesis alongside Pandora just to handle SL and see if it works but wondering if anyone has experienced this before or might have an idea what to look at.

EDIT: I've also tried using P+ and its converter as well but no dice, the animations stay very broken. I just can't figure out why Pandora is having so much trouble making SL animations.

Here's the output of the Pandora run, in case someone more experienced spots something:

8290 total animations added.

EDIT 2: I ended up running Nemesis on only the FNIS animations by running the engine without selecting anything (and after disabling anything incompatible with it, there were a few Pandora specific mods) and generating new animations. Then I placed Nemesis' output after the Pandora one to overwrite Pandora's FNIS ones, and the animations all work properly now. It really seems to be an issue with Pandora as of the 2.7.0-beta still.

Tried finding a solution from others who may have had the same problem, but just like them, I doubt I'll get an answer.

Most common cause for this is another mod editing SL files failing to load because it needs another mod to initialize before or something. In particular this can happen if you're using DD NG + SL Utility Plus, there are other known mods causing this issue. The fix is either a loadorder change or, specifically if the issue is SL Utility plus, you can disable its plugin in your loadorder, start a new save, install SL, save and exit the game, then re-enable the SL utility plus plugin and confirm all settings are correct in the different MCMs you have. If it's not the mods I mentioned you'll have to do some trial and error work to spot the culprit by disabling some mods and testing in a new game.

Can you guys help me to fix FNIS with Pandora?

A week ago i installed a new Skyrim and a bunch of SexLab mods. I used Pandora for combat animations, then disabled it and enabled SexLab mods, and then run FNIS. Then i left enabled Pandora, Pandora output and Fnis output. Pandora for normal mods, fnis for mods from this site. And it worked for a while, i played for a bit. And yesterday i installed BFCO and a bunch of mods that go with it. And now i get T-pose. I turned off all new mods, but still can't make it work. If i use just Pandora it runs without errors, but in game i have T-pose. If i run Pandora for combat mods and FNIS for SexLab mods, FNIS mods don't work. Base SexLab works with Pandora, but if if enable Billyy's animations i get t-pose. With Billyy's animations Pandora shows 20 000 animations registered, so i assume that the issue is quantity of animations. And i don't understand now why FNIS worked before. What am i missing here? Maybe there is a guide how to make Pandora and fnis work together? Or maybe there is a patch for Pandora to make it work with more animations?

Edit: Found a problem, i had an LE mod in load order. Everything runs on Pandora, FNIS doesn't needed.
