FNIS not working with Sexlabs no matter what I do. Help..

I need some serious help; I am **new** to modding and have looked at every guide, every topic and every gods-be-damned tech support thing I can find.  STILL I get this error and I'm losing my mind.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, moved files per a EXTREMELY vague "Well you did it wrong." post, I have file checked, even started a brand new game to see if it pops up in my MCM.

Nothing. -- Absolutely nothing.  I have All the required mods, all up to date.  FNIS refuses to register my Sexlabs. Yes. I have it within MO; and yes, I have run FNIS from within MO itself. Still nothing.

I get:
FNIS_SexLab_List.txt is not installed. Animations of mod wont be added in the FNIS list and wont be work in game. Before install through Wrye Bash Bain you should choise 'Override Skips' option for archive of this mod in the 'Installers' tab.
In both LOOT and MO.

I am at a total loss here guys, any walkthrough, guide or even just a patient chat to walk me through how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure just regular (LE?), I don't have SE.

I don't think it's an issue with MO-- I genuinely can't get it to run even with just manual installation.

The reason is - and dear god, it took me forever to figure it out - that you followed the install instructions. You  unpacked SexLab in Data Folder. Which means the .txt files are not where they are supposed to be. Copy files in every subfolder in SexLab to their relevant counterparts in Data. Txt files are in Data/Meshes/Character/Animations. Once SexLab and SexLabCreatures are there, run FNIS again. When you run LOOT now, it shouldn't report any problem, and when you run Skyrim, the MCM menus should appear.

I attempted to follow this but the vague nature of it left me at a loss. I've even attempted the new game that was posted on the thread this came from ( https://www.loverslab.com/topic/25802-fnis_sexlab_listtxt-not-installed/ ); and the reloading of many programs, (IE: LOOT, MO, etc.)

I'm uncertain of whats going on.

Did you follow this:

  • If you use MO: Configure FNIS as executable (IMPORTANT - See one of the videos shown here, or read S.T.E.P. Project: Fores New Idles in Skyrim)
  • If you install manually: Start the FNIS generator GenerateFNISforUsers.exe AS ADMINISTRATOR (part of FNIS Behavior, and ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, or NOTHING works)

FNIS Link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11811/?

See, I have done that too.

With standalone/Admin access. It's picking up **Everything else** BUT Sexlabs.

This version is Launched From MO.

The post you're reading there is quite old, I'm not sure if the things in that post applies anymore.

It should work fine to just click "install mod" in MO and choose the "SexLabFramework_v162_FULL.7z" file. (You did download the full version and not just the patch, right?)

No, everything is OK.

You can also select the first option for "Gender Specific Animation" and then click Update FBIS Behavior again.

Remember: If you install a mod or uninstall with animations (should be in the mod description) you have to perform this step. Run FNIS

Delete my statement - I see two identical screens here - no differences.

What is wrong? Sexlab is missing?
You have to install Sexlab with MO if you use MO.

Generally: If you use MO you have to use MO for installation.

Yeppers! I've re-installed it a few times too, haha.

So, should I uninstall it again then.. Download the zip to desktop and get MO to locate it? (Again, a little nooby and might need a little guidance through this. Reee.)

Sexlabs is missing, yeah. I have it installed and it shows on MO. But the FNIS Behavior will not be picked (For sexlabs.) up or added to my game.

-- From what I have read in previous posts and installations of Sexlabs itself, one should pop up saying "Reading Sexlabs..." But as you can see, it doesn't. :C

I lack the Sexlabs MCM menu and the like. Nothing happens.

Ok a couple of things you need to consider. Don't bother going to the fnis site for help if your using MO. Fore flatly refuse to help anyone using MO. Aslo since fnis uses java make sure you are using the 32bit executable. Java tend to install the 64bit version. Start with a clean skyrim. No manual installs as stuff gets left behind it sometimes causes lots of problems with fnis. Luckily there are great videos from gamerpoets on youtube on how to set it up properly I suggest having a look at it.

Aahhhhh! But.. I did it, I swear. Now I feel a bit dumb.

Is there any easy way TO install it via MO? I thought I had but apparently not! T.T

I have a feeling this is going to be yet again another Unin/install, heh. (Which I'm okay with.)

To install via MO, you do like this:

That's how mine appears.

Unmanaged is usually mods thats been installed manually. You need to find all the sexlab files you installed manually and remove every last trace. I stongly suggest to get a total clean copy of skyrim and install sexlab again through MO directly. As MO uses a virtual directory its installs and not the actual directory. Thus it cannot fnis cannot find your sexlab files in that virtual directory and is causing those problem.

I'm not an expert and still here compared to Gregahit.
It looks like you have not / did not install Sexlab properly with MO.
You have to - as an MO user - install everything with MO.
Since I - however, for good reasons - do not use a Modmanager, I can probably not help you further. Sorry.

My suggestion: Reinstall SexLab - with MO.

No once you know MO there is nothing that works better manual installs just creates huge messes in your skyrim folder. Not even gonna talk about NMM thats just horrible. But If he follows the instructions that we gave him he should be able to get things working 100% quickly

Alright-- So I am attempting right now to remove all my sexlab mods to install via MO.

-- I do appreciate all the help, by the by! I may be posting here again if I encounter issues; just a heads up. I'm hella happy I got as much help as I did. I was rather confused!

Here goes nothing!

I can assure you, I know MO and NMM thoroughly.;)
When I wrote mods, I even used this trash.
Nevertheless, I prefer a manual installation since 2011. Since 2011, I have never had to reinstall my Skyrim since 2011. It is still first time installation.

And my experience with MO and NMM from past years shows - it does not pay, many problems and almost zero benefits.

Manual installs are fine if you know what you are doing if you don't then you shouldn't be doing them manually. I have been manually installing files for a long time and have had no problems it's when you start throwing shit into your game willy nilly that you screw yourself. I use a older NMM build as well.

But with MO everything must go through MO and be installed through it.

Okay! Godo news-- I have Sexlabs installed!!!

Now the next question-- I'm trying to get Kyne's Blessing installed;  do I do it the same way through MO? It keeps telling me game files are missing; unsure of what it means.
