Might be cool to be able to feed your pets a captured enemy for some 24hr boost of some description.

I think its SL Defeat lets you put a cadaver in a sack, maybe that could be a base to capturing and binding an enemy then taking them home to the kennels.

Feeding frenzy! (like Realistic Feeding, or whatever it was called.)

Really looking forward to Untamed2. (How about Untamed, Unleashed)

If you haven't seen I started working on the project currently code named "Untamed 2".

Trying to work around some technical limitations without going all crazy like in the past. One such solution that will fix a lot of things and allow me to do more immersive things will be to have a limit of how many animals can follow you at any given moment. Currently, it is infinite, so I have to do periodic AOE checks to make sure the animals are all configured as they should be. Additionally since they are unaliased they are extremely limited in what I can do with AI packages.

Honestly, I only bring one pet along with me, any more and they quickly get in the way of everything especially in caves. But some of you people are crazy so I want to see what the average pack size is.

I don't really care how many animals you have sitting around at home. How many do you actually take into combat?

More than likely you can still tame infinite animals, but they won't be able to do anything cool until "in your pack" of animals currently following you.

Please include support for other "wierd" creatures such as Seekers. That is a totally missed opportunity for tentacle pr0n. Beastess seems to work on them, at least temporarily, but they do not become permanent followers. Untamed does not work on them at all.

Also, is there a way to make friendly fire not hurt other followers? A miscast spell or two by a Draugr or Serena, and my pack is ripping each other to pieces. Inigo I can just whistle to, but the critters are much harder to control.

I personally try to keep things sensible when taking my pack into combat. I play with Inigo, so I already have 1 regular follower. I also have Immersive Creatures and BadDog's addons for them.

As for animals, I try to take a mix to keep the animations and sex interesting. Like, I'll take a Draugr (excellent tanky fighters or casters), a Troll (not the best combat pets, but I love the sex animations), a Pure-blood Hybrid (gargoyle animations), maybe a Dramin or two (excellent combat pets, Vampire Lord animations). Another one I love to have, but can't find many "tameable" versions of is the Werewolf. The Lunatics do not work.

My problem is that the game is hard to balance with a big pack. Between the Blood Hybrid and the Dramin, they slaughter almost everything I run into. Definitely EZ-mode. I use "Out of My Way" to eliminate the traffic jams in tight areas.

I've currently got 9 trolls, 1 werewolf brute and 1 snow sabre cat. I park them outside if I'm doing a dungeon. Outside I have OBIS bandits, Warzones and SIC to battle with. My PC was playing nude with only 2 rings and a necklace (bumping health and magicka), but I've just donned a mage robe which bumps magicka regen.

Maybe made the wrong choice going with magic as it's hard getting a clear (safe) shot in once a fight starts.

I love trolls. They move out of the way better than human followers, self-heal and always give good animation. Not the fastest movers but that can be incorporated into the tactics.

In the past I've had 16-18 mixed skellies, trolls and goblins.

I've been trying to keep to 6 wolves but ended up having to pick up 2 more cuz i was over encumbered and didn't want to summon all 6 of my pack members to the middle of nowhere so i just decided to make two more (they were near each other).

side note, if you're still working on #2 can i suggest/request a few features to add?

1) I think to have a single target version of the mating call so you can pick which creatures to put into your pack

and

2) have some way to limit what creatures mating call effects. been running a wolf pack and i hate when i call next to a wolf and a deer and two rabbits also suddenly join and i have to go find them, kick them out, and (sometimes) kill them.

? would be nice.

I sometimes have a small pack or just the one following me around. But eventually I kill them. Simply because I play a Succubus and I play a loner, stealth alot. I do not like followers, companions or pets, they mess up my game, get seen when I try to be sneaky, kill when I am trying to subdue, get in the way, even activate traps I am trying to use against crap. So Untamed is like a "Lunch Box" for me, come along when I am hungry I'll kill you...

What would be cool is an option to use the Mating Call as just that, or toggle the ability to include companions as is. That way in the MCM one can toggle Mating Call to add 0 (none) up to 5 Companions. (or more maybe, though 5 followers to me is a lot of extra work and problems).

As to the compatibility of making Animal companions Followers, aren,t mounts (horses) Followerfaction? Maybe as an untamed ability after the "mating call" shout an interaction that basically changes the Animals Faction to Follower Faction?

Hence why I usually avoid followers altogether. Except for one pet. Preferably a riekling. I don't know why; I just feel a kinship with those small, blue...wait a minute... :classic_lightbulb:

I play with Skyrim Immersive Creatures, so always had a bunch of interesting things in my stable. Gargoyles, skeletons, Draugr, the strange dragonkin things, and werewolves to name a few. I also used the Big Cats followers mod, but those guys are pretty OP (basically unkillable and with over 5000 health even before the effects of Untamed). The only way to do dungeons with all those oversized critters was to use the Out of My Way mod that lets you run through them. I tried to adventure with a giant or two, but they're just too slow.

All of that except I tried with a Minotaur rather than a giant. Try one of them and then talk to me about sloooow.

With multiple followers I find, as a general rule, that up to say 6 are a pain. Anything over that and you can just leave them to it.

And what about the ladies?

I've made Untamed the centerpiece of an interesting run I'm currently doing. The details are still being hammered out as I go, but so far I have this:

Using 2 wolves and 1 bear in combat. Might just scale down to a single bear for convenience. A trick I found with cluttered combat is to use Call Pack and override the Stay command whenever you engage in larger fights. I keep them on standby somewhere else, and then call in a bear-strike whenever there's a battle. I also use Lost Grimoire of Skyrim to add more supporty spells in order to play a more active role in combat while still mostly relying on my beasts. When I'm not in full battle-mode I rely on sneakbow.

I do feel that the naked armor is a bit too strong on its own. So to find a better balance I've decided to install Frostfall. Gonna tinker with the values, but basically make it so I can't just run around naked all the time, but might have to put some thought into when the warm and bulky clothes come off :P

i dont use untamed but thru MCG i got one wolfie I call Blep to guard the bridge I sleep under.

If I were to bring him into combat tho it's not going to last long.  Wolves are garbage tier.

Looking into capturing a skeleton too, and I got my breton pahe slave to kick around, and occasionally Castor (modded dark elf follower in whiterun who for some reason likes walking around naked)

I'll call that a pack, yeah.  I am a feral lil stinker living under a bridge after all.

I know I'm late to the party still gonna chime in: I have every troll in the game   but I usually leave them where they are found  or close by, they not only serve as body guards but also as 'heaters" for my Frostfall plugin ? at least in le  I have  recently switched to SE  but haven't really started a play through yet waiting for untamed 2
